Easy online application for a house insurance quote and really competitive price. Spoke to Solange & Jack and found them really helpful and extremely friendly. Paperwork sent immediately after purchase. Highly recommend.

The website is very user friendly to enter the information to get a quote. The chat function is helpful for clarification about questions that you’re not sure about. Whilst I was in the middle of the quote I received a phone call from Intelligent Insurance asking if I needed any help which I appreciated and showed excellent customer care. When I had decided to proceed with the policy the staff member I spoke to was friendly and professional.

Fast, efficient and excellent customer service.
I went direct to Intelligent Insurance (not via a comparison site) after POLICY EXPERT cancelled my policy when I told them that I was to embark on a loft conversion. Intelligent Insurance were able to arrange my home and contents insurance, even with building work going on … and they cost £35 less than my policy with Policy Expert! Fast and efficient and I was able to talk to a real human being. Would certainly recommend.

Do not allow the woeful web portal to put you off!
I generally decline to provide feedback for insurance companies until I have tested them with a claim ... which I hope never to do ... so it's a bit of a catch 22! However, I am making an exception here in recognition of the patience and persistence of the people at the end of the phone who, despite the woeful web portal, managed to accommodate and find fair prices for a couple of unusual aspects of a house and contents policy. Unlike some online companies (AVIVA in particular) who simply do not provide a telephone number, so you are literally on your own ... these guys provide a telephone backup which is answered promptly by people who actually listen and bother to understand what you are trying to achieve. For that reason alone - in these times of 'artificial unintelligence' - they get a 5* rating. And I hope Dawn gets a bonus for her exceptional customer service!

Easy update and renewal
Like most people I have little or no interaction with an insurance company except when taking out a policy or claiming. I haven't claimed so this is about taking out and renewing. In this case I needed to update a detail on the policy and decided to hone rather rthan risk online. I got through without difficulty and the issue was resolved in about 5 minutes and my renewal updated and sorted. Very easy.

Bad service can't understand basic instructions.
I had to update policy holder on our policy as our neighbour moved out, and someone else bought the flat. So I opened up chat. Explained what was needed. Agent asked me to give info. When I copied the info across they asked for the info again even though I had already sent them the info. I gave info again even though it was clearly in chat and then they copied it onto the policy 2x wrong, and they left the old policy still active so I had 2 active policies.

Easy to find the renewal information, I contacted using Chat although it was difficult to find a telephone number on the website. However the renewal price was competitive and I accepted it.
