Rich colour pigment
I decided to colour my hair using Josh Wood products and I felt confident with the colour choice being a similar colour to my natural hair colour (I had been blonde for a number of years before growing my hair colour out) but I started finding the odd grey hair was making my hair look dull). The products I chose were easy to apply, and there was no harsh chemical smell whilst applying them.
The results were a richly pigmented colour and my hair looked glossy. Initially, the colour was darker than my natural shade and not what I was used to, but it faded to a more natural colour after a couple of weeks.

Great experience
Paid a hefty £7.50 for 1-2 days express delivery and still no sign of my order 5 days later and no update on where it is.
***Update: I have heard from Anna at Josh Wood and she explained that there was an issue during transit which prevented the order from arriving. She has also very kindly arranged a refund and replacement order, so I’ve updated this review to 5 stars for their excellent customer service and for resolving this so quickly. Thank you Anna! 🙏🏼

Went from blind to dark ginger brown in 30 mins. Hair very dull and awful colour. Was meant to be blonde. Horrific. Was very expensive to be so awful. Now having to peroxide my hair to strip this colour out. Do not buy this.

Fantastic customer support. Any questions you have the team will respond very quickly & give well detailed information. If a virtual consultation is needed that can be booked in for one to one more in depth advise which is again exceptional.
The products recommended were very good & the condition of my hair is much improved. Overall a very good experience & service. My only negative is that the products are expensive.

Has something changed?
I've been using Josh Wood Colour for more than five years now, it's pricy compared to many box colours but the results have been worth it. But the past couple of times, the deep conditioner (which used to be a real treat, and would last my shoulder-length hair for several applications, it was that rich) has left my hair feeling awful, really dry and straw like - has the formula changed? It's a real shame - it used to be a premium product, but it doesn't feel like that anymore.

Coloured my scalp but not grey hair…
I wanted to grow out my very light blonde permanent coloured hair & bought this product (because of high reviews) to mask my natural grey. The powder was very good at colouring my scalp but not so great on my hair. I’m returning it to Boots for a refund.

Disappointed actually
Disappointed actually. I chose this more expensive than other brands because it claimed on the box that it covers greys 100% and it turned out to be untrue. Still have grey hair visible eventhough I followed instructions on the leaflet to a single words.🙄 Good point to this dye that it didn't dry my hair as much as other brands do so that's the only positive.

Josh Wood is the best hair dying company out there. I will never use any other product. I don’t ever ever reaction from their products and they do multiple hair products and every single one of them are fantastic this company. Wand not covering grey hair
I been using the touch up wand the colour doesn’t stay in your hair I thought it might have stayed until you wash your hair. It rub off the next day and white colour are not covered. Disappointed with the new wand….

Deep conditioning treatment has changed
I love Josh wood colour and have been using it for 5 years. But. The last two times the deep conditioning treatment has been different and definitely no longer deep conditions. Have you changed the formula? Such a shame.

Excellent product
Excellent product! I love my hair colour 6.5 and icy shot. My hair is naturally very dark brown I had a lot of greys so was nervous I would not have full coverage but not a single grey in sight! Hair feels and looks healthy - very pleased and will now be using Josh Wood. Thank you!

The colour, its wonderful.
The video is very helpful for application for home use. So I would not go back to the saloon.
Plenty of top tips for easy application.
Also if I have any questions the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful.
I would still love you to bring back 8.5 colour it was great. I find mixing 8.0 and 9.0, a bit hit and miss sometimes trying to achieve what was 8.5.
