I'm now out over 1000 pounds
I'm now out over 1000 pounds, after damages to my central heating system, and paying this company.
They sent someone out and he spent the whole day looking for a leak. He caused an additional leak in the pipework on my geyser, then caused the boiler to overheat and finally left us without any hot water.
When he left he told me that the location of the leak was definitely under some tiles and I should get my plumber in. I got the plumber in, he dug up my tiles and found some very dry pipework. No leak at all there.
The leak hasn't been found. I had them out a second time to try again (they are meant to come back and find the leak if it turns out they failed).
This guy tried to play it off as my fault, and said there is no leak anymore. Then just left saying he can't do anything.
I've requested a refund from them, but I haven't heard back in over a month.
Avoid this company at all costs.

DO NOT USE.
Would not recommend using these. They agreed to do a full drainage inspection, the report came back with no findings. 2 weeks later water was still entering out house, so we hired another company who found the drains they inspected had actually collapsed. Not sure if they even checked them to be honest. To add insult to injury when I raised this with them, an extremely rude lady answered the phone to somehow say I should have noticed this myself.
I asked them to come and complete the full survey, as agreed and signed but they flat our refused to. No surprise they refused to provide any refund.
DO NOT USE.

We are sorry to hear that you were not happy with the service that we provided and we would like to clarify a few issues:
We are not a drainage company and would never have agreed to carry out a full drainage inspection as we do not use CCTV cameras.
You originally advised us that your basement kitchen had flooded during heavy rainfall in March 2019 and on your initial enquiry we advised you to monitor the area to see if it dried out if it was due to the inclement weather and to advise us so we could determine if a survey was necessary. You called us a few weeks later requesting a survey and when we arrived we found the area to be drying out but that the house had many cracks and pointing issues. Our engineer found the pipework within your property to be sound and the drains were checked for any blockages and were found to be running freely at the time of our survey in March.
You then contacted us again at the end of August asking us to reattend stating that you had a drainage company attend in August (not two weeks after our survey as has been suggested). This time frame can make an enormous difference as anything can happen to your pipework over the period of several months.
We would never have suggested that you should have noticed a drain issue yourself as of course you would be unable to determine if your drains had collapsed. We pride ourselves on our politeness and customer service and as all our calls our monitored any staff noted to be rude to any customer would be immediately disciplined.
We have many happy customers that trust in LDS and we want to extend our sincerest apologies for the negative experience that you had with our service department as we strive for a positive experience for all our customers.
Avoid at all cost!!
I received the following communication from this company when I used their services a year ago: 'If there is a leak we will find it saving you money, time and unnecessary stress'. L.D.S Leak Detection Specialists promised me a lot of things in their sales patter, what they didn't do is find the leak in my house and their so called 'professional' engineer also damaged my property in the process! Despite sending them numerous correspondence inviting them to enter in to dialog to help resolve the issue, they are still refusing to acknowledge any of my communication. In my opinion you judge a company not only on the service they provide but how they are prepared to put things right when it goes wrong. On this basis, and their total lack of professionalism throughout, I would definitely not recommend this company!

I am sorry you have had cause to leave this review on Trust Pilot following your Leak Detection Survey November 2018. At the time of your complaint we offered to return to assess our findings which you declined. We are still waiting for you to send us photo evidence of the actual leak located and photo evidence of the damage caused. Without the evidence we cannot rectify what you say we have done therefore we offered you a gesture of goodwill which you also declined.
