Love at First Sign Avis 

Great host and had a good night. Setting was a bit uncomfortable but met some lovely people:)

It's an interesting concept. At first I was hesitant but the host was pretty good and she did a lot to make us break the ice. The use of the app was kinda odd, but it was actually a good way to mix us up and led to a lot of interaction which is ideal for such an event. The company were quite sportive when I had to cancel due to a personal event and they held my ticket for a future one. At first I was annoyed at the lack of a refund due to the situation I faced, but it turned out okay in the end.

I went to their nyc event at Starchild last night. The host was really welcoming and made the night easy for everyone to chat and mingle. The venue is very cool too. It was easy to get to and I met some nice people.

Easy to book event and good location. Hosts were friendly and encouraged all to socialise and participate. Was a friendly and no pressure environment. Unfortunately all the ladies left before the event finished which was disappointing that was the only negative but impacted on the fun in the evening.

Attended Leamington yesterday and had a great evening! The host was very welcoming and made every feel at ease as soon as we arrived. A few people didnt turn up.but we all still mingled very well and got to know everyone more as it felt more of and exclusive get together. Had the bonus of speed dating too, which was unexpected so very much enjoyed that addition to the event. Great night, brilliant host and looking forward to the next event already!

Initially the Love at First Sign event was booked for August but rearranged to last night in Southampton, due to lack of numbers for the original date.
The area set aside in the venue was dark, cramped and noisy. There were five men and fifteen women. I don't understand why the event is called Love at First Sign as no reference was made to it.
The host said to start with a quiz on our mobiles, one of the questions was 'Why do trees shed their leaves?' How is this getting you in the mood for dating!
The five men were then placed on a table each and the women were rotated for a four minute speed date. There was a woman's table where we had to wait for our turn, so we just ended up sitting chatting with other women! The host was overly excitable and had alot of fun blowing her whistle after the four minutes were up. There was no organisation and the host even said 'I've lost track of what's going on!'.
I really hope the owners of this company read their reviews. You are taking money from people and providing nothing in return. It was an awful event. Tacky, poorly managed and you should be ashamed!
My advice to anyone thinking of booking, don't bother!
I have contacted Love at First Sign directly and at present have received no reply.

I attended the event in Leamington, and was disappointed firstly with the turn out, as there were 6 men and 4 women. I am aware that this is not necessarily the organiser's fault.
And I will say the organiser was very friendly, so there is no criticism there.

However it was very much themed as a 'Cosmic' singles event which I thought sounded fun and a bit different. However there was no mention of it at the event, and the app seemed superfluous, as no one apart from the organiser mentioned it.

It seemed quite disorganised, we initially were just stood and sat around awkwardly chatting, before the organiser said if we'd like to do more traditional speed dating, which we did. It just felt a bit flat and no one I spoke to seemed impressed with it.

And then we were told the bar was closing before 9pm, and we all just shuffled off.
Just a disappointing and poorly attended event, not at all as fun as it was marketed as.

I also have to separately point out that this was my first time at the venue (Hart+Co), and as soon as I walked in it felt cheap and grubby, so it's not as if I was able to at least enjoy the ambience of the venue. (The wine was also pretty bad, I couldn't finish it).
It seems this is the usual venue that Love at First Sign uses for it's Leamington based events, which is another reason to put me off attending any more.

I would definitely not recommend this company again for speed dating events.

Worst speed dating event I’ve ever been to!

Where do I even start? This was unbelievably disorganised from beginning to end.

We were initially told to download an app and that we’d be doing ice breakers on it. Fine. Except the host then changed her mind and asked us women whether we wanted to do speed dating instead. There were 4 women and 6 men, so we agreed.
Except there were no ice breakers, we didn’t use the app at all, and the speed dating itself was chaotic. The host repeatedly forgot who had already spoken to who, and there were multiple occasions where people were just left sitting around with nobody to talk to. I sat for a good ten minutes on my own, despite there being more men. For a speed dating event, having people sitting there with nobody to date is quite an impressive achievement.

At one point it genuinely felt like we were organising the event ourselves.
Then, at around 8:45pm, Hart & Co told us they were closing and we all had to leave. To be fair, by that point I was more than ready to go, but it was yet another example of the complete lack of organisation. The company’s website says that after 9pm you can mingle in the venue, so being kicked out before 9 was the final cherry on the badly organised cake.

The whole evening was confusing, awkward and nothing like what we had been told to expect. We didn’t use the app, there were no ice breakers, the speed dating wasn’t properly managed, and we were out of the venue before the advertised mingling time.

Honestly, save your money. There are plenty of ways to spend an evening without paying to sit around waiting for someone to remember whose turn it is.

Event was cancelled in London for ages between 30-40 and they cancelled…that they didn’t get enough people. It was supposed to be held at the embankment…so it should be easy to get the numbers.
I couldn’t attend when it was postponed to.
Now they’ve informed me that in their terms it states you can’t get a refund.

So guess who’s never buying a ticket again and I suggest you shouldn’t either.

Emilia was a great host. It was nice to have a choice between talking to people in groups and one-on-one. This is a very good event if you like speed dating. I did not use the app.

I went to their bank holiday party last night and met some great people. The host was really welcoming too

Signed up for a 20-30 singles event and virtually all of the women were in their 40s and 50s - the organisers clearly hadn’t checked anyone’s age and as a result myself (a 29 year old) was at an event with women who told me they had sons and daughters older than me - very awkward and clearly poorly organised. My advice? Do NOT attend these events - they’re just trying to make some money off you.

Kim the host is amazing, very bubbly, friendly and genuinely cares, it feels she wants people to match and makes sure the evening is warm, welcoming and friendly.
Games, quizzes, rotation amongst guests, different venues, different age groups and the same format.
Make sure you have the Cosmic Fusion app downloaded so you can match with people. It can take time to download and setup with your info so I would suggest doing that before you turn up.

Ive done several speed dating events and they have been good fun. This was the most shambolic of events at Hart & Co Leamington
Several attendees left because how disorganised it was.
Got to question the authenticity of some of the reviews on here. It was a million miles away from five stars

Because I met Michelle and she was a great match. The host (Emilia) was outstanding and made us feel so welcome.
