Kimmy is amazing!
Ive done a few events in Guildford now, all with the lovely Kimmy, and Ive loved every single one. So much better than the original "speed dating " set up. Kimmy is an amazing host, she makes sure every single person gets up and gets involved, making the nerves completely disappear. I haven't found my knight in shinning armour yet, but here's hoping x

Winchester with Justine. One of the more populated ones. Justine is a very welcoming host and is very good at making sure everyone has enough time with each date. Would recommend.

I was very apprehensive about attending…
I was very apprehensive about attending the event but a friend had convinced me to go ,and I planned on popping in, rolling my eyes and leaving.. thankfully ,this event was run by Kimmy who was so friendly ,easy going ,and warm.that I stayed till the end ,and even though it was a small.event ,The organiser (Kimmy) singlehandedly did her magic and turned it into a super fun and relaxed social.where people chatted ,laughed ,and exchanged stories and details.

The Event was Cancelled Twice!! This is an Untrustworthy Group!
In the space of one month, they cancelled events twice in London. When the first one was cancelled, I was emailed and told that I could attend the next one coming up in two weeks. When the time came around for the rescheduled event, I was emailed and told that this event was cancelled and no new event date was given. Of course, they won't give me a refund even though they can't deliver the service I purchased, with no guarantee that they will ever be able to deliver an actual event. This outfit is untrustworthy - save your money and don't spend it here.

We are sorry to hear that you are frustrated.
We only postpone an event when we know it would affect the enjoyment of the evening, for example due to low attendance, rather than making that call lightly.
For both events, all attendees were sent an email and SMS confirming the new date with the offer to transfer if this did not suit.
We understand two postponements is frustrating, and we're sorry for that. Your ticket is still fully valid to use at any future Love at First Sign event, in any city, at no extra cost, so the service you booked is still fully available to you.
We'd really like the chance to have you at an event that runs as it should. If the new date suggested does not work, please contact our customer services team and they would be more than happy to help!
Profit over customer focus!
I wish I'd looked at the reviews before booking this event.
Our Nottingham event was cancelled on the afternoon we were due to attend, which was extremely disappointing and, in my opinion, very poor customer service. Notice could have been given earlier.
While the terms and conditions state that no refund is given if an event is postponed, this feels like a convenient way to keep customers' money interest-free while offering little consideration for the inconvenience caused. I find this approach unethical. Regardless of the T&Cs, a refund should be offered when an event is cancelled at such short notice.
Don't waste your time or money. I'd recommend staying away from companies that appear more interested in making a quick profit than looking after their customers.
Additionally the second event on 11th August we checked beforehand to confirm if it was going ahead only to attend and then be cancelled. Host confirmed we’d all be refunded. Do the right thing and refund every occasion when events are cancelled by organisers.

We want to flag that this doesn't match how we operate as we don't postpone or cancel events on the day they're due to run. If an event was affected, we'd want to look into exactly what happened, but we're not able to do that without more information from you, such as the event date and the name the booking was made under.
We are sorry to hear that you feel that we do not have our customer's best interest at heart, we put our daters at the forefront of everything that we do and really hope you will attend your future event on the postponed date.
Fun experience and lovely host!
I attended a Love at First Sign event in Leamington Spa this week, it was my first experience of any kind of dating event and I went on my own so I was very nervous! I mentioned this to our lovely host, Sian, when I arrived and she was so great at putting me at ease and explaining how to use the app and how the night was going to go. There were more men than women on the night but ultimately the company can't control no shows etc so you just have to make the best of it! All attendees were very nice and respectful and while I didn't find a romantic connection, I had a really fun evening and would definitely go again and recommend to others.

I’ve been to 3 of these love at first sign events 2 in Guildford 1 Brighton and I absolutely love them it’s such a great atmosphere and evening I’ve met some really lovely people and the host Kimmy is such a lovely lady so bubbly and she makes you feel very welcoming and it’s always such a brilliant evening it wouldn’t be the same without her love you Kimmy..

On Eventbite
On Eventbite, it showed that over 800 people signed up. In reality it was only 53, and only 16 people showed up. There were 4 men for every 1 women. The hostess tried to be accommodating, but the event itself was poor.

The 800+ figure you saw on Eventbrite reflects sign-ups across ALL our UK and US events combined, not just one specific night. We'll be feeding this back to Eventbrite directly to help them better the service.
Gender balance is something we try hard to manage through ticket release timing and targeted promotion, but the 22+ people that attended Starchild had a great night regardless, and the host fed back some great matches that were made!
It's good to hear our hostess did what she could to make the evening enjoyable and we will be sure to make sure that feedback does get passed on to the team.

Guildford event- different kind of experience (in a good way)
I went to the Guildford event.
After trying online dating. I thought I would give this a go. I’m glad I did.
I met some lovely people and had some good conversations. No match, but was good to be out there.
The event wasn’t what I expected. I thought it was going to be like musical chairs with everyone moving around. It’s more of a mingle.
Was met with such a lovely host, Kimy. She was quick to explain how things worked and what to do etc. The evening flow was smooth and natural.

Edinburgh event let down
I attended an event in Edinburgh, it was a terrible experience considering it's a paid event. My review does not reflect the 'dates' in attendance but the event itself. I do not recommend this event because: The event would benefit from an additional host. The organiser/rep appeared too busy to welcome or effectively manage arrivals. It was my first time attending and was a negative experience. The agenda was not clearly communicated and in my view conflicted with the advertisement. There was a lot of hanging around for the first hour, attendees asking eachother what the arrangements are and for this it generally seemed disorganised. By the time you've spent an hour making small talk between yourselves there's little point of having the mini dates set up. The marketing and concept is great but the execution is poor.

We're sorry the evening didn't meet your expectations, and we hear you on the arrivals, the pacing in that first hour, and the gap between what was advertised and how things unfolded. That said, other attendees at the Edinburgh event shared that they had a lovely time, and our host felt it went well too so we're hopeful this was simply an off night rather than the norm. Absolutely amazing
Absolutely amazing! I went to the speed dating event in Guildford on the 18th of June and was met with the warmest, professional and charismatic welcome of the host! After trying online dating apps and not having much success, gave this a go and am so happy I found my match! Highly recommend.
