The perfect holiday tour
The perfect holiday tour! Everything was incredibly well organised and our tour Guide in Japan was incredible. We also booked some additional days through the company before the official tour started and it all went very smoothly. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Lumle again.

Nothing was too much trouble for Narayan and staff at Lumle UK, and Rabin and the Lumle staff in Nepal. Very well organized, the guest's experience was paramount. All 3 hotels were well located with comfortable rooms and excellent breakfasts included. The hotel staff could not have been more helpful and all local guides were very knowledgeable. We had a fabulous experience.

My only complaint was the welcome day when we had paid for transfer to the hotel by bus and that didn’t happen and we had to take the train

Over all a nice experience with the trip.
Unfortunately in Agra: Royal Sarovar Portico hotel I run into problems. Hotel stuff accused me of paying with fake money; spa lady wasn't pleasant. After having district manager come in and resolve the problem I still didn't feel comfortable after that. It was stressful.
On our last day before departure back to USA; we had to check out from hotel. That part was very poorly organized. All tickets were booked by ur company and we payed extra money for straight flights back home.
All the other hotel and stuff were nice; pleasant and helpful.
All tours guys very knowledgeable and pleasant.
Extra friendly; very helpful to us was the bus driver "PJ". He's amazing driver and as person too. We do wanna recognize him.

This hotel has hosted a large number of Lumle guests over the years, and we’ve consistently received positive feedback. While we’re grateful the issue was promptly resolved by the district manager, we completely understand how the incident left you feeling uneasy. Please be assured that we are addressing this matter directly with hotel management to ensure all staff are reminded of the importance of professionalism and cultural sensitivity at all times.
As for your final day arrangements, late check-outs are typically at the discretion of the hotel and may involve an additional fee. However, in the spirit of delivering more than just a holiday, our local office intervened as a gesture of goodwill and successfully arranged for your room to be extended until 3:00 PM free of charge. We regret if this was not clearly communicated, and we’re reviewing our internal processes to ensure smoother experiences for future guests.

Tour round Sri Lanka
Hotels were generally very good - Raddison in Colombo on the last night was poor, but staying in Colombo the night before the flight was convenient.
After the long outward night journey a one night stay in Colombo would have been preferable to the 3 hour drive in the dark directly to Sigiryia.
The itinerary was excellent, and the home stay lunch was a highlight. If anything the itinerary being so packed meant that it would be excellent if interspersed with a couple of rest days e.g. Kandy which was a wonderful hotel but we really didn’t have the opportunity to take advantage of its wonderful facilities and peaceful atmosphere.
The safari days would be better if they comprised of an early morning and late afternoon session because the all day safari we were offered meant members of the group were suffering from the intense heat by mid day and cut the day short. The driver would not bring us back in the afternoon after a rest.
Our guide for the majority of our holiday, was a lovely man but his English was very unclear and consequently we didn’t learn very much during the many location visits we had. On the last couple of days when we became a group of 6, our guide was excellent and his English was very clear.

Excellent excursions but not enough support
Excellent excursions, but not enough support. There were several instances where we did not know what was going on. Example: The itinerary said that we would be picked up for an evening show, but we had to find our own way there. In another instance, the driver dropped us off at the ferry but we did not know which one to take. When we stopped for breaks during the long drives (which I loved) we were not told how long, whether we were to eat lunch... We then has to try to find the driver. The hotel in Saigon was A++. The other is were okay (B to B-).

Slendours of sri lanka. May 04 to 14th 2025
This was our first time with Lumle holidays.
The whole experience was very positive. Well organised and run by our knowledgable guide and driving team whom went above and beyond.
All hotels were of a good standard and breakfast without exception was very nice.
There was a nice mixture of excursions but maybe one too many temples for us. A few hard sells but a nice balance. A visit to the elephant orphanage in place of a temple would have been nice.
We were lucky to be part of an excellent group of 16 with a nice balance of age, youth and life experience and we got on very well.
There’s a fair bit of driving but broken with rest stops. We learned a lot from our experience and would consider another holiday with this company.
One bad - Air India - arrived late into heathrow and left even later arriving at mumbai later still causing us to miss our conecting flight and delaying by 9 hrs that cost us half a days holiday. We were held for six hours without being allowed into departures and were given a KFC chicken roll and a small bottle of water.
Very dissapointing and was very sressfull at the start of your holiday! Their complaints procedure is almost unfathamable!

There were only 4 people on our tour! The tour guides and our bus driver were superb. Everything was beautifully organized. Due to the heat, there were flexible hours for activities. The hotel accommodations - lodging and food were excellent. We had a fabulous adventure!

A seamless holiday with Lumle from…
A seamless holiday with Lumle from start to finish. Took the stress out of travelling Cambodia and Vietnam with all internal and external travel sorted. The included day trips and tours were excellent, with knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful local guides. I’d absolutely book again with Lumle, great value for money. The group from our trip were amazing too, which just made the whole experience even better! Would recommend and will look to Lumle next time I want to do a big holiday again.

One of the best experiences of our lives
The countries were fantastic. Our travel was excellent. The hotels (especially in Siem Reap) were all very good. Our local guides were phenomenal and very knowledgeable. Our group were lovely, and we couldn’t have felt more welcome by the wonderful people of Cambodia and Vietnam.

We are very impressed with LumleTravel
First class service from Narayan & colleagues at LumleTravel meant me and my husband had the trip of a lifetime to India and Sri Lanka in March this year. Everything ran extremely smoothly and we were impressed with the standards of our guides and drivers who were very punctual and attentive. LumleTravel do an excellent job liaising with their local partners in the destination countries. The itinerary was fabulous and the standard of hotels was generally good or excellent. We can’t recommend LumleTravel highly enough and we’re already looking forward to our trip booked for next year to Thailand, Vietnam & Cambodia.

We travelled to Nepal at the end of…
We travelled to Nepal at the end of November. Had a brilliant experience, managed well and looked after at every stage enabling both a guided experience and enough free time to explore on our own. Transfer time on the return leg (1 hour 20 mins) at Istanbul airport was a bit too short so that a slightly delayed take off from Kathmandu meant we had to get a later second leg but Turkish Airlines were very helpful. But this was a minor blip on a great trip. What a great country and people. And those mountains!
