Costa Rica
We have recently got back from a well organised trip to Costa Rica. The group size of 8 people was perfect. The hotels were all of a very good standard, though a couple a little out of town.The excursions included in the package were all of a very good standard and pick ups on time. We had a good mix of these and plenty of free time to relax or arrange our own trips. We would not hesitate to use Lumle again and will recommend to friends and family.

We went on a tour spanning the country from the Caribbean coast to the Pacific coast and saw such diversity and amazing wildlife we will definitely be revisiting in the future
Transfers organised were always on time, hotels good, and some very interesting excursions included as per our itinerary.

An amazing trip to Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos
We had an amazing trip with Lumle travelling to Cambodia, Vietnam and Laos. During the planning, Lumle were very helpful in accommodating our requests and arranging additional internal flights to replace some of the longer overland transfers.
On the ground, their organisation was very good with just the occasional (and given the logistics inevitable) glitch. However, the 'in country' contacts were excellent and able to quickly and effectively resolve things. They also accommodated our requests for additional tours. Tip - we had a mobile phone with roaming data, which enabled us to communicate via Whatsapp, as through no fault of the operator wifi was not working in one hotel.
The hotels and transport were all very good and the guides on our planned tours were excellent, being both knowledgeable and helpful and occasionaly entertaining.
In summary, it was an excellent trip, great value and we would happily book with Lumle again.

Amazing holiday in beautiful Sri Lanka
Yet another wonderful holiday from Lumle this time from the moment we were warmly greeted by Jack, our fantastic driver & guide, at Colombo Airport till the end where Jack said an emotional goodbye to us after an amazing journey through Sri Lanka.
Everywhere we went we were greeted with friendly smiles. Jack ensured that our holiday went smoothly, his advice and guidance went ‘above and beyond’ and he was always willing to be flexible with timings and taking us to amazing places not in the itinerary such as the beautiful city of Galle.
All the hotels we stayed at were very good with special mention to all the staff at the Amaara Forest Hotel near Sigiriya, the Blackpool Hotel in Nuwara Eliya and the Allure Hotel near Yala National Park.
The train journey from Kandy to Nanu Oya definitely ranks as 1of the best train journeys in the World and the sights we were taken to by Jack were also very special.
An amazing holiday with a fantastic guide/driver seeing marvellous sights and staying in great hotels - what more could anyone want from a Lumle holiday!

Costa Rica- great holiday
Our trip to Costa Rica was very well organized and went smoothly. Our hotels were all of a very good standard and all of our drop offs and pick ups went smoothly. The excursions which were part of the holiday were all of a very good standard, and we had plenty of free time to relax or strange our own trips on these days. We were part of a group of 8 people which was a great size for it to be very personable throughout. I would recommend Lumle and am very likely to use them again myself in the future.

2nd time using Lumle
2nd time using Lumle, will definitely use again! They are easy to book with and it can be pretty much tailor made to suit you. 1st trip we had 13 of us (Vietnam and Cambodia), this trip (Sri Lanka and India) it was just us 2!! We had a driver, in Sri Lanka he was also our guide - really knowledgeable and patient with us. India we had a driver and then in each destination a guide from that area would join us. Lumle is so affordable aswell. Only slight problem we had was in India the car couldn’t fit both cases in the boot as it was too small so one had to go on the front seat!!

We had the most amazing time in Sri…
We had the most amazing time in Sri Lanka with friends, which was made all the richer by our fabulous guide / driver Jagarth, who was incredibly knowledgeable and was able to answer all our many questions on ancient sites, nature, culture etc with ease. He went out of his way to suggest extra detours / trips which made the trip even more memorable.
Sri Lanka is incredibly beautiful and it's people are all so friendly..... we were all sad to say goodbye!

Great Cambodia and Vietnam holiday
We had a great 2 weeks in Cambodia and Vietnam.
We were met at the airports by reps, all transfers went smoothly and to plan.
We had some great guides in all of the locations we stayed in; Siem Reap, Phnom Penh, Ho Chi Minh (Saigon) and Hanoi.
The accommodation was all good.
The itinerary and organised trips were great. Temples of Siem Reap, killing fields in Phnom Penh, Mekong Delta from Ho Chi Minh, and Ha Long Bay overnight cruise from Hanoi were all included in the holiday. All were well organised experiences with knowledgeable and entertaining guides.The free days allowed us to explore on our own. On one of our free days we made a trip to the elephant sanctuary near to Siem Reap which I would recommend, expect to get muddy and wet with the elephants in the river.
Travelling in a group like this allowed us to make some good friends which added to the whole experience.
A great holiday overall and would recommend to others.

Full on holiday but what an experience!
Everything about the holiday was excellent from the itinerary, travel arrangements and hotels but best of all were the tour guides in each location who always went above and beyond to help our large group of 22.
My only complaint/suggestion would have been to have an extra day in Saigon and also Hanoi.
The only problem we encountered was with our 6 day add to Hue and Hoi An when our flight was to Da Nang but our driver was waiting 2 hours away at the airport in Hue. Everything was sorted within an hour and the 2+ hour transfer gave us an opportunity to see more of the country.
Would I book a holiday with Lumle again? DEFINITELY.

Great introduction to these 3 countries.The itinerary was busy with some early starts, but we had an amazing group of fellow travellers
We have only 2 faults The visit to the River Kwai had little time for us to take in the museum fully or the cemetery before being rushed on to the railway and then quickly the train arrived and we had to board so a little disappointing.
Also our group in Bangkok was 22 but by the time we reached Cambodia we had become 36 on the coach! Making it much harder for the guide and split into various hotels .

Lumle Holidays - A jewel in the crown
We booked with LumleHolidays with our 2 friends for the 12 day Golden triangle tour. The group consisted of 10 couples (including ourselves) From the time of our booking, Narayan was incredibly helpful following numerous conversations we had with him. His help in obtaining our Visa' was invaluable. Our guide Bhunu (BB) was absolutely fantastic, his knowledge of Indian history was immense, as well as being such a lovely person.Our driver deserves a medal for navigating the trafic in Delhi/Jaipur in a 40 seater coach!. The meet and greet at airports was a real bonus and took away any worries about 'what do we do/where do we go'. The hotels were great as was the food and hospitality. However the reception staff at Fortune park hotel in Delhi were incompetant and we spent ages in reception after a long flight, for our rooms (10 couples) to be sorted (6am). The hotel is also an hours drive from Delhi airport at night and up to 3/4 hours in the day. The trip overall was brilliant and we had prebooked an 'add on' trip to Kerala. We were the only two people to have booked an additional add on trip. We had a personal driver Sasi, in a relatively new car to escort us to Kochi/Munnar/Thekkady/Alleppy and finally back to Kochi airport. The trip on the houseboat in Appelly was sublime!. Just one suggestion for this add on trip.
Our flight from Delhi to Kochi (3 and half hours) was at 7.30 am, which meant that we we picked up from our hotel at 4am. Once we were met at the airport in Kochi around 11.30 tjhe first day was whirlwind. We only spent the afternoon and evening in Kochi before leaving for Munnar early the following morning. Kochi looked amazing and we would have loved to have spent at least 1 full day after arriving. This is such a great add on and an extra day including the extra cost would be well worth considering by Lumle. Overall a magical, but tiring itiniary. We thank Narayan and all at Lumle holidays for making this trip so special... We will be back to you guys soon to arrange another magical experience! Namaste! Peter & Sara

Another excellent trip
Another excellent trip. Everything went like clockwork. All the local representatives, guides and drivers were so helpful and friendly. All the hotels were of a good if not excellent standard and we were so surprised and happy to get a free upgrade in one of them! My only suggestion would be to allow a little more time for the India leg as we felt that this was a little rushed.

The holiday was very well organised
The holiday was very well organised. The team of three who accompanied us were well informed and looked after us throughout the holiday. Hotels were excellent.
The minibus was a little cramped especially when we were travelling with luggage - 16 of us.
For my wife and I, we felt there was possibly too much time spent travelling and maybe too many things to see and places to go fitted into too short a time.
Also, as “older” people (80 and 76 years) we found some of the visits to temples quite taxing with steep climbs, which we were not made aware of, and removal of shoes was somewhat uncomfortable.
Overall we had a really good experience and loved Sri Lanka and its people.
