A good organisation when you let them help you.

I was transferred from the job centre to Maximus’ office in Nottingham city centre and was given Naomi as my work coach.
She has been very supportive and kind towards me finding a job and actually shows emotion in what is happening with my work search. I am now in steady work, albeit I found this work fully on my own, the help I got from Naomi made me want to find work even more and I am happy with my time spent there.

She has supported me consistently through phone and face-to-face meetings as planned in the schedule, offering encouragement and motivation. I haven't worked in a long while, and job centre referred me here. Honestly the best thing that's happened in a long time. Kieran at Maximus Nottingham is an absolute legend, made my CV professional and found me work within 10 days. Extremely grateful to him, was treated like a human being and genuinely felt heard. Not fit for purpose

How the UK government have decided these people are the best choice for vulnerable people is beyond me. They're just a bunch of box tickers, the questions are utterly useless in determining anything other than being a paraplegic. Fluctuating illnesses are not even taken into consideration. You can repeat the same thing over and over and they will just ignore it and mark you down. The process feels intentionally long winded for maximum effect on Mental Health. I have worked for over 27 years, paid more into this system than most, now when I need it, I am treated like dirt. Essentially accused of lying at every turn, being made to repeat the same answers time and again in the hope they catch you out. If it wasn't for my stubborn nature, I would have given up a long time ago, which I feel is half the plan. Going from the previous poor reviews, I expect this will either be taken down, or I will receive the usual copy and paste reply that everyone gets.

Extremely Poor Service, Disorganised Process, and Contradictory Assessments

My experience with this organisation was deeply unsatisfactory. The appointment system was chaotic and poorly managed, with multiple delays and inadequate communication. Clients are left in limbo, unsure when or how assessments will take place, which adds unnecessary stress to an already difficult process.
The assessment process itself seemed highly disorganized, with a lack of attention to detail and inconsistencies throughout the report. Despite providing evidence of recognised health conditions, the scoring and outcomes appeared predetermined, and the results did not accurately reflect the impact of these conditions on daily living or mobility. There were numerous contradictions within the report, and it was clear that client input was not fully acknowledged or valued.
Communication throughout the process was minimal and unhelpful. Complaints and concerns are not addressed promptly, and responses often fail to resolve the issues raised. The overall approach gives the impression of a system that prioritises procedure over genuine understanding of client needs.
This organisation’s handling of assessments demonstrates a concerning lack of regard for clients, with processes that are exhausting, stressful, and ultimately ineffective. Dangerous company

Maximus complained about my review and had it forcefully taken down, so I have to write a new one. So to be clear, my experience with Maximus has been as such. My mental health was in decline but I was receiving help from my GP and therapist, I was making headway. I have NEVER had thoughts of harming myself, until I had to deal with these people, now I struggle daily, wondering what the point of it all is. They have single handily increased my mental health issues, ten fold. They have deemed that their 40 minute assessment is more important than a years work with a GP and therapist. The way they have handled this is dangerous.

If I could choose 0 stars I would, the so called employment advisors are lacking basic knowledge, it’s a complete waste of time and nerves, I have never received any help with getting a job, their so called employment sessions they made me to come to are worthless they just give u a bunch if indeed we codes to apply, most of these jobs weren’t even suitable as needed licenses etc so wasted my time to come and apply on indeed like I didn’t do this already at home. Also my employment advisor was
Very bad, told her I was becoming self employed so she pushed me to give her my „employer” even though I didn’t have one so I gave her the client details and then she started calling them ! After this giving me false information about self employment to justify her decision to contact my client, after I made it known to her I don’t like what she’s doing and I will stop giving her any info, after this even worse , my appointment times during my work times so I couldn’t attend, even if I let her know many times what times I work then she would say she can sanction me if I don’t attend, saying she hasn’t got a proof that I’m working if I’m self employed …before her I had an advisor that was lovely and understanding but this is ridiculous no skill no knowledge no help just demands and too big ego, seems like they do not care helping too much just care about own targets.

Maximus made me feel confident in…

Maximus made me feel confident in myself again and helped to improved my motivation to find work. Identified my weaknesses and improved on them. Helped me to gain qualifications to find work with D&R services. I hope that I can continue developing myself, and progress in my security career.

PIP Assessment

PIP Assessment. I have a copy of the report. Nurse contradicts herself and clearly had really bad listening skills. Report not fit for purpose. Nurse was being monitored by a manger and was constantly told to curb the questions.
Maximus complaints procedure said it will take 20 days!! It does not . They are now getting a clinical assessor to look at the report. How that is going to help resolve anything I have no clue!!This company is paid by the government , tax payers money . Why do they not just develop a business model that works instead of incompetence and inefficiency???
Disabled peoples lives are truly at risk

I have received a great support …

I have received a great support from Maximus! My employment advisor, Khulud Alotaibi, guided me through the entire process with brilliant masterclasses and expert CV advice. The best part was her help with my career goals after telling her what I wanted and she immediately arranged for me to go through a course and Jobs applications. I'm very grateful for all the support!

Sharon was an extremely helpful health coach.

Sharon was very understanding, helpful, and talked me through a lot of the issues I was having, and helped me find motivation to work harder in many aspects.

I've nly given this a 1 star review as…

I've only given this a 1 star review as you can't select ZERO.

Having been placed with Maximus by the Job Centre, I have spent the last 4 months being belittled by my advisor, told my degree is worthless and had ZERO job opportunities presented to me.

EVERY face to face appointment I have had has lasted less than 5 minutes (with a 1 hour teavel time each way to get there) and I have been offered ZERO practical support except CV workshops and interview techniques.

The whole process is a joke, and only seems to exist to allow Maximus to cream money from the Governement.
