Absolutely disgusting behaviour from adviser. The assessor told lies about my health condition but somehow forget that I requested a voice recording and also all the information regarding my assessment. I made complaint about the assessor Ian Stephen but somehow complaint team is busy every time I call and can’t take my phone call. Also I left them messages and emails but no one trying to even get back to me. Absolutely pointless idiots who just triyng to trick people and somehow decided that if I can drive my car “ which is nessesary for me “ my health is okay and don’t need anything such a stupidity is suppose to be good assessment. Shame on you guys

Dispite having medical evidence , such as letters and proof of medications, the Pip assesor twisted what I said and gave me zero points!..Yet I have COPD...!!!
Likewise they said I would be assesed by a Health Care Professional ...I,m sorry but she sounded like she was a young girl,with very little experience of anything !
THEY NEED INVESTIGATING!!!
Ps They did,nt like the fact I can drive a car !,

Also whilst doing my research about CAPITA, I came across several referances about their accesors.Apparentley a high percentage quit their jobs with Capita soon after starting these jobs....Clearly Capita have a Problem training and keeping staff.
I wonder why that is !!!.....Maybe those who leave disagree with Capitas unethical methods....Either way this company clearly only appeases its own interests in having a contract with the governent.
My advice to anyone applying is send as much proof as you can including doctors letters, and ask your telephone asessor what medical traning they actually have , otherwise they are unfit and not qualified to question others and should not be in that job!
My own personnal opinion is, non of these asessors are medically trained, and the interviews are done on the cheap by college students employed by Capita.
This methology is really highly insulting, however it does demonstrate how Capita operate, and should be exposed !

On a different level this Large company were recently in the News for losing 200 milion pound of pension fund money for the elderly.
The government were not happy,so if you have a problem with Capita...Speak Up for yourself,and don,t let this Company undermine you !

Cancelled twice on me on the day saying the advisor is sick who is going to carry out my assessment. Common sense would dictate that you could find someone else but I guess that doesn’t apply to them. Been waiting over 5months when I was told it would be up to 12 weeks. EMBARASSING service

If I could give zero. I would. They are condescending and passive aggressively rude. Not only do they say they that the DWP have provided incorrect information as top when I should have my claim assessed by but they also were curt. Mental health and chronic pain, pruritus, fibromyalgia, graves disease, sjorgrens syndrome, plus 2 other autoimmune diseases, they have not in 3 months I have been waiting, contacted my GP and I have to be spoken to like I am nothing. A robot would be preferable. I was notified of about 10 days ago of a face to face assessment but it was in a different county. I called to see if it could be done in my home county or video. It was rescheduled for 8/7/26 video assessment. I have just received a text saying it has been moved to 24/7/26. I called them to say if they can help as surely they have more than one person who could do the assessment. I was told that I had not picked up the phone when they called to give me date and time options. I asked when did they do this. They said 2:50 pm today. I said that was less than half an hour ago and as soon as I saw the text that is why I am calling. They said well that's the earliest this assessor can do otherwise we will withdraw the claim. They also added that I had previously cancelled an appointment. I had not. They wanted me to have an appointment which would be a 3 hour round trip. I feel that this was done on purpose. I hate feeling desperate and treated like scum

These type of appointments are stressful enough be to have appointment with someone that you can't understand or that can't understand youthat hat can't speak proper English is a disgrace god no what my out come will be

Horrific experience during my PIP assessment, they did not listen to anything I said, did not read my medical evidence or the letters of support that I sent in to them. I was rushed and was not asked anything about how my disability affects me on a daily basis. I was truthful with my answers but felt totally ignored. I received my assessors report which was full of lies. This company should absolutely not be dealing with medical assessments at all. I am beyond disgusted and upset with the whole thing!

Cancelled my telephone assessment without notice I had to phone them myself to ask why I wasn't called. I was told the person phoned in sick coincidentally at 11:46am when my assessment was at 11:45am and it was apparently too late to inform me at all! I was well prepared for my assessment with this disgrace of a company and honestly believe they cancelled my assessment as 53 hours before it I called in to have it recorded and it messed up their PRE WRITTEN REPORT!
!Absolute scammers know that I'm onto them after being unsuccessful many times now and they are trying to make the experience as distressing as possible so I stop trying. Well not this time because I will put in a new claim 3 times a year if it means I get what I've been entitled to for years and continue to use my solicitor.

Terrible experience. Waited 6 months for phone assessment. Called by a lady (Karis?) who was unqualified with zero medical background or understanding about mental health. 45 minute call assessment and answered questions truthfully. 10 days later received decision letter in the post. Nothing but lies and inaccurate information about how my condition affects me. Scored 0 points on everything! Decision did not properly take into account how my disability affects me whatsoever. Now fighting for mandatory reconsideration and will appeal and take them to tribunal if need be. Rubbish system that is stressful and so bloody unfair!

Training over 5 weeks is intense, and drilled into your about the work life balance. The trainer tells you that your group is the best they have had. told to close lap top at the end of the shift. No chance , 20 minutes prep time to dive e through numerous pieces of evidence. An hour for the assessment no way . Completing the assessment is mainly in your own time to get it done. Was told your team manager constantly checks in with you for well being , not ours. If you don’t want your own mental health suffering avoid this role with this company. Out of my training group only 2 left in post at present and the probation period is coming to an end soon. Be prepared to miss your lunch break, work over, start early. I managed to do 5 months when others out my cohort left sooner than this.i’d known other people who had done this role and left and I thought it was just them , but now know otherwise. If you decide to do it look after your well being please

I had an assessment back on the 21st- October-2023.
I was on the phone for over an hour. When I gave answers to the questions I was asked. The woman assessor, replied by saying. I do not want to know what happened. I said well stop with the questions that you do no not want me to answer. Near to the end of the phone. She asked me if I was on Facebook. I said yes. She then asked me. Do I wear glasses. I said yes. Before I could respond to say. I do not use my first name. She cut me off. Then when I got a report from my assessment. I was told I was not entitled to PIP, because I lead a active lifestyle and I travel around a lot. Where I said in my assessment. I do not go out. I stay in my bedroom all day everyday. Unless I go to see my dad in the evening, to see that he is OK. As he has trouble with walking and I like to spend time with my dad for an our or so. Then when I come back home I spend the rest of my time, back in my bedroom again. When I looked on Facebook to see who it is she that I was. This particular person that has the same name as me. Owns a boat, and does voluntary work for the RNLI. So now I have been waiting for my appeal to come. I wish I could give minus stars. As 1 is 0ne too many. I have been stressed and suffering more with Anxiety and panic attacks since I received the report. This because of the stress caused by financial worries my wife has since my PIP was stopped, because what I got helped my wife with the bills. My wife has health issues to that concerns me too.

Absolutely disgusting system where the government is clearly happy to let capita write dishonest and misleading assessments knowing fully well it will make it impossible to try and get support financially for a disability.

there is a reason they don't have good reviews. They only seem to give pip to people who don't need it, they don't give a dam about people with mental health issues.

I couldn’t give a minus. I also know swearing is inappropriate but that’s exactly what I’d like to do. Advisors are ignorant of conditions, have no understanding of cerebral palsy or that it’s a brain injury which like every condition has a broad spectrum. I’m unfortunately of the age where reports weren’t available when I was born my parents were just told to make the most of it and time would tell. Obviously due to her ignorance and lack of knowledge and not listening I was refused. “Classic line from report “she doesn’t have an appointment for her arm hand and leg in the next 12 months. If there was treatment to rectify the situation I’d be first in the queue. Their ignorance causes devastation when all your asking for a little help I’ve never claimed for anything never received anything and always worked shame on her
I went to my appointment on 29/8/25 and report was sent to me on 1/8/25 obviously no reports we applied for related to my disability were ever made which says it all.

I applied to this pip thing and when the assignment was done by this lady she kept ringing me for further information which she missed and when the results came back it was all 0. First thing first you guys are so stupid and thick that you guys don't kw how to treat people like me and rest of the people who are suffering from illness who are struggling to cope with their health you guy ask too many question that even a person wouldn't answer. You guys suck and the office manager who sits up his desk should get sack for giving these points. I mean why should it be assignment and why it should be in points if you guys don't want to give pip just say it all i say is now pip really socks and the people who decided not to give people pip they can go straight to hell.

Absolutely appalling I have won one assessment after tribunal they simply are not fit to be a company
Trying to say that because I work there is nothing wrong with me but I I have high level ADHD cptsd anxiety 4 meds a day after I take and rely on family and by partner for support for everything everyday and have things in place at work to go to work as stated they say there is no evidence issues with cognitive behaviour but it literally says it in my mental health reports forgetfulness low mood communication problems and anxiety isn't pip to support us if I had one leg I wouldn't get this treatment it's absolutely toxic to mental health these people should be ashamed of themselves you can use social media I can talk on a microphone to write what I'm saying they do not understand not understand the use of technology for disabled people it's not the same as being person to person or having to write things remember things mentally they simply don't understand the modern world it's face to face interactions I have problems and sensory overloading panic attacks problems understanding communication absolutely disgraceful you try your best in life but it's not good enough and continually used against you the government says go to work it's good for your mental health but it's not because every little thing they use against you they should try being on the other side of the fence everyday is like a living nightmare invisible illnesses are not game these people are not medically knowledgeable at all there glorified pen pushers and box tickers disgusting disgrace -100 if possible

I applied for PIP for my Grandson, and we filled the form out, with him answering the questions. I added my remarks where indicated. He added a piece he asked me not to read. (I did after I'd photocopied the form and sent off. I had not realised until I read his remarks, that he had considered suicide!) He was given a telephone assessment. I was within his calling distance if he felt he needed me. He was having one of his 'good' days. (These have become rarer, also he is now unable to leave the flat, except rarely. He lives across the road from myself) He suffers from Acute Anxiety, and is on permanent 'fit leave,' and medication' These are the basics. The assessor was polite, and seemed to be considerate when asking the questions, and he managed to relax after a time, having been shaking, with his leg continuing the whole way through. The letter received, refusing PIP, scored him 2 points!!! 0 points for managing his medication (which has been increased to double the dosage since) even though I order and collect it. 0 points for communicating. He is terrified and completely 'freaks out' if he sees someone face to face, but is mostly ok on the 'phone, if a 'good day.' the 2 points were for 'mixing with other people.' The question asked was "Do you do your own shopping." He truthfully said yes. Next question - not asked how he does his shopping! Assumed presumably, that he goes shopping. He does online shopping, and the delivery drivers know to ring the bell, and leave the shopping outside the (upstairs) flat door. I am applying again.

I am writing to share my Personal Independence Payment (PIP) experience, not only because I am appalled at the entire process but also because I know that I am not alone in feeling utterly let down.

After months of waiting and fighting for what should be a fair assessment, I have finally received my decision. Yet, the way my day-to-day struggles were treated—ignored, twisted, and used against me—was beyond disgraceful. Who are these people making these judgments? How do they sleep at night, knowing they have dismissed genuine needs with the flick of a pen, or in my case, without even the basic decency to sign their decision letter?

I have worked all my life. I have paid into the system faithfully. Now, in my 50s, I find myself needing support because my health limits me to working only two days a week. And what was the response? An outright dismissal—thrown on the scrap heap as if decades of contribution meant nothing.

This system is failing people like us, but we are not powerless. If you are fighting for your claim or have been unjustly refused, know that you are not alone. Keep pushing, keep demanding fairness, and never let them convince you that your struggles are anything less than real.

We deserve better.
