Millets - Monmouth Avis 

Extremely well located hiking/camping supply store if you live on the Wales/England border and love a good trek in the Forest of Dean and Brecon Beacons area. Great staff who were very informative and a more than decent selection of stock to choose from. Not the largest Millets going but certainly more than enough for all your needs!

Arrived late afternoon having driven a long way. A very helpful friendly lady helped me select the correct OS map for the area where I was to stay including running a check with the relevant mapping site.

Was on sale in the Monmouth shop but was easier to order online & also get a 15% discount & free delivery instead of struggling to carry it back to the car…Monmouth always my local shop & the staff are always helpful, they even told me about the extra discount…anyway the new fridge was a bargain & works on 240v or 12v massive to compared to my old one & price..thanks Millets

I have just left the Monmouth branch of Millets where the courtesy and support I received was outstanding.
Liz went out of her way to help me to return a package through UPS. The process was frustrating and complicated due to the poor retail website and if Liz had not stepped in and gone beyond the call of her normal duties I would have given up and taken the wretched article home again.

Just a shame the local shop didn't stock the size we needed, and people ask why we don't patronise the local shops, personally I wouldn't have bothered to buy them from you if your staff couldn't be bothered to order them for us, but the hubby wanted them.

Picked up a click and collect was surprised by how much the shop had available.

Easy to order online into my local shop and no problem with returns. Staff very helpful.

I have been using millets on and off for many many years and particularly I found the staff in Monmouth millets to be some of the best interested in what you were purchasing and very knowledgeable in the product thumbs up.

I phoned in the morning to enquire about some walking shoes. Liz confirmed they had my size in stock and would put them aside for me. In the afternoon Jess served me and I bought the shoes. The whole experience was seamless and friendly; I congratulate your kind staff. Also, my dog was very pleased with the water and biscuits by the entrance!

Needs new pair of quality walking boots. manager Liz was very helpful but not pushy and I tried on a size 5.5 scarpa pair. I’m usually a Size 5 but they weren’t available online so Liz arranged to a colleague who was visiting another store who had a size 5 to bring them back with her to the store so I could try on both sizes and compare properly. I bought the size 5.5 in the end being confident this was the right one when able to compare directly.
Brilliant local shop and service thank you, always been so helpful and knowledgeable.
