Uneducated security staff at Munich airport , they don’t know the travel rule and good policy . Govt must train them before they are posted at Airport , not recommended to fly through Munich airport

The quality of your service is RIDICULOUS. The card payments are not accepted today, duty free shops are on strike and the cash machine are out of service. You confiscated my water that I needed to take my medicine, because you don't allow liquids even though I was just on a connecting flight and already went through security at the origin of my journey. I couldn't buy another bottle of water because of the above reasons and you put me under huge distress given my medicine has to be taken at an exact time. You don't have water fountains either. You put passengers through so much stress and inconvenience, that it's truly appalling. This experience made me never want to visit Germany again as you're not worth even one penny to be spent here. APALLING.

What is wrong with the people who run this airport? They seem to employ the rudest most unhelpful people. From the moment I stepped in to the place to print my boarding pass a rude overbearing staff member approached me.
Printing the baggage label was no better, sarcasm seems to be the response rather then helpfulness. Clearly no one here cares about the passenger experience, a place to be avoided .

We are Canadian family returning from vacation in Antalya to Vancouver via Munich, Dublin and Toronto. We had quite a short connection in Munich, arriving to Terminal 1 and having the next flight from Terminal 2. First, on our way through the connection corridor, we got stopped by an airport employee who shouted "Halt!" and tried to push us downstairs, to a border control. Even after our explanation, he continued directing us the wrong way. Then, we had to pass additional security checkpoint, despite the fact we were just connecting from one sterile zone of the airport to another. Rules are rules, I agree, but why it was necessary for the security personnel being so rude? They used only commands like "Put it there, not here, I said". "I said, links, not rechts" etc. We had to pass full body and hand baggage check. They took an explosive substance specimen from my 10-years old son palms! A security lady put her fingers under my wife underwear! We have never experienced anything like that and felt like prisoners in a concentration camp. It were only 4 of us travelling from T1 to T2 and the control took over 20 minutes.
Are we Canadians being considered terrorists and that's why we were treated this way in Germany? If so, we'll avoid Germany at all price.

Clearing security took 1 hour despite it being a short queue and screen said currently 15 minutes.
The man putting the bags through screening was really slow, spoke only German and quickly got frustrated when it was obvious you didn’t speak English. He then insisted I take my belt off even though I clearly said plastic, which translates, I always travel with plastic belt, to avoid such problems, it took several minutes to get it off through the loops because of the size of the clip. Meanwhile the queue got longer.Fortunately I wasn’t wearing other trousers I have which have the belt sown in or I might have had to take off my trousers.
Part of the delay is that the rollers running up to the scanner is far too short and can only take one traveller at a time who have to then do all their filling of the tray at last minute adding to delay in processing. Most other airports have room for several people to be decanting all their items into trays which is much more efficient

This is the worst airport I've ever used. We arrived at Terminal 1 by coach following a river cruise but couldn't be droped off at the terminal due to road works. The coach driver was not aware of this problem and dropped us somewhere in the middle of the airport.
We found our way to BA check-in, which was very efficient, but then had to walk the length of the extremely long terminal building for security checks. Then back to the other end of the building for very slow passport control. Finally the length of the building again to the departure gate.
We arrived after the planned departure time but luckily the plane was delayed. If you are using this airport get there three hours before take-off.

Avoid this airport if at all possible. It was necessary to go through no less than 3 checkpoints to get to the gate. The planning of this airport was created by a toddler.

Awful place run by sulking juveniles. Can clearly see why so many passengers have opted to pan the place.

Awful experience. Poor signage, long queues through security and passport control. With 1.45 hours before flight I’ll be lucky to make the plane. As a frequent flyer this is now one of the worst airports. Staff abrupt and not friendly at all.

If you want to make sure you get your luggage back, then avoid this airport and Lufthansa. There is no staff to handle the luggage. They barely have the personnel to serve the current flights. More than 11,000 suitcases were lost/delayed. Mine has been missing since August 25, 2023. Even with the Airtag inside, they were incapable of locating it. It is a complete disaster. Definitely to avoid. Very bad customer service, lying all the time.

My connecting flight was from terminal 2. Couldn’t see any signs directing to this destination— found out that there is a shuttle on has to take. No signs to inform of this either. How is first time visitor supposed to know? Otherwise nice airport.

Very bad and poor management at the airport.
Long lines with only one or two counters open.
I would rate it is one of the worse airport in Europe.
If you have flight come five hours early otherwise you will miss the flight.
Very shameful and embarrassing for Germany to treat people like this.
Shame

This was the worst airport I’ve been too with the exception of Frankfort. Waiting for bags for over an hour. What made it worse was the plane with our bags was sitting right outside the window. If you can skip Germany airports do it. No announcements and nobody to talk to. The Germans are not proficient when it comes to airports. I would rate it 0 if I could. Munich you should be embarrassed.

Passed through Munich airport from Copenhagen to Shanghai 10 days ago. Baggage never left Munich. We can see our luggage sitting in the same place for same 10 days from our airtags. Nothing happens. There is no information. No contact. Nothing.

Flying from LAX through here on the way to Florence on 8/28/23, dozens of suitcases didn't make the flight and have been sitting in Munich airport for over a week now.

Three of the suitcases have trackers and have been tracked to Munich airport where they are all in the same area but now haven't moved in over 5-days. Lufthansa is trying to help, making some phone calls and letting us know that the bags haven't been scanned in Munich yet. Munich airport has been unhelpful and says to contact the airline.

It's frustrating knowing where the bags are but being unable to have them sent.

Total indifference of the staff Unhelpful with information options and support . Horrible

Waited for my luggage for 2 hours because they have no staff to get it off the plane. Pathetic.

Terrible place very unhelpful with long queues at booking then another to drop off bag then even longer for security then a walk complete length of airport for another long queue for passport with only 2 men on duty one of which a learner

Endless queues, very unfriendly service, needlessly complicated processes. Very very hot on a very hot day. Nobody seems to be ready for the job at hand.

Munich Airport Terminal 1.
Returning to UK with British airways August 12th.
Insufficient staff at security.
Only two booths open passport control for about 200 passengers. 1 hour wait in queue. Border police completely overwhelmed by numbers. The officers were pleasant. Terminal 1 gate facilities very poor compared to Terminal 2.
