Good way to meet genuine singles
The people I’ve met at their events were genuine, and I like their structured approach to dating. 5 minutes isn’t enough to really get to know a person, but it is better than going to some of the “get drinks and mingle around” events.

I've been to a couple of speed dating…
I've been to a couple of speed dating events, and think this one is really easy to navigate. The location, Scholars, can be difficult to hear people which is tough when you only have a few minutes. But I like the balance of genders, and feel like the men are 'quality' men in that they are there for the right intentions. I also wish there was some sort of a buzzer or indication of when to move along as this can be missed, or more awkwardly you have a guy waiting to sit down while the other has no idea he's supposed to have left! All in all, worth attending. I think it would be interesting to do a larger mixer with attendees of all speed dates (if they're still available) with ice breakers, etc. for sort of a 'second chance' kind of event.

We do hear you regarding the venue acoustics. While Scholars is one of the most loved spots in Boston (and we do adore the charm), it can occasionally play a little hard-to-get in the audio department. Noted!
As for the buzzer — a great suggestion, but one we’ve intentionally steered clear of. Many of our venues are rather chic and wouldn’t be especially keen on bells or whistles interrupting the vibe every few minutes. We find a more discreet, stylish approach keeps things feeling natural and relaxed (and keeps the venue happy too!).

This is my 2nd time at a MyCheekydate…
This is my 2nd time at a MyCheekydate speed dating. Although I enjoyed the event, there were some things that need improvement. 1st of all, there needs to be more organization in the way the men are rotated after the end of the each conversation with a lady. The host had us switch around like playing musical chairs instead of having us all move in a uniform direction. And speaking of conversations, the 2nd part that needs improvement is how the coordinator lets us know when our time is up. She needs to use some kind of bell or buzzer so we know for sure that it’s time to move on instead of subtlety using her hands.

I love the technology aspect and the…
I love the technology aspect and the rapid fast response in regards to matches. However in regards to the event itself it was not very organized. The men couldn't see when it was time to move....there should have been a bell rang to let everyone know when it is time to go to the next person...the speed dating event was only supposed to last for 2 hours however it was 3 because of that.

Regarding the bells — great question! We like to keep things low-key and casual. While bells can be fun for some, we don’t find them especially romantic. Our aim is to create a discreet, relaxed environment that doesn’t scream “dating event” to others in the venue. Many of our venues also appreciate a subtle approach, and a bell ringing mid-evening would definitely clash with that atmosphere.
Also, there’s no hard stop to our events — many daters stick around to mingle afterwards, and that’s often when Cupid works his magic. ✨

A Great Way to Meet People
MyCheekyDate is fun, simple and an exciting way of meeting singles. In-person socializing is important and and takes time but speed dating is optimized for time and efficiency. Apps don't have what this does!

Great way to meet new people
The speed dating events I have attended with My Cheeky Date were well run and I really enjoyed getting to speak to so many new people. The smaller group where you get to speak with everyone was great. I’ve been to other company’s events where you only get to speak to 1/4 of the men in attendance and was always frustrated by that.

Not worth the money
Not worth the money. The card with the profiles to vote was supposed to be available until midnight, but it disappeared before 23.30, no votes - no matches.
Last minutes people were accepted and their profiles were not added on the card.

Matchmaking service has done nothing even 5 months after signing up
It's been more than 5 months since I paid hundreds of dollars for the matchmaking service, but they haven't facilitated a single match.
After one month of zero outreach from my matchmaker, I asked for an update, and they "assured" me that they were still working on finding a match for me. Three months after that, there was no additional outreach from them, and there was zero sign of progress on their end, so I asked for a refund. They said no. They continued to claim that they were working on my behalf "behind the scenes".
Even if that's true, nobody would consider 4 months of no matches to be a successful matchmaking experience. Nobody would consider that acceptable service. Imagine if their signup form said "by the way, it may take several months for us to find a single match for you"... no one would spend a dime let alone hundreds of dollars! Now it's been 5 months since I paid hundreds of dollars for their service that has delivered zero matches so far.

I didn’t like the venue, because the place was a bit too loud for my preference, but we had a good turnout of people and had a great time.

Fun & Safe Sunday nights
The hosts at each event are very professional, personable and friendly. They are very clear with directions and timing for events. They also are pretty good at getting an even ratio for male to female daters. I always feel safe at these events and have always met friendly professionals. I am truly grateful and excited every time I attend!
