Bobby was so helpful. He listened to what we wanted and needed (and was very patient) and made some really great suggestions that we hadn’t even thought about. He showed us examples, both physical and online and gave us a preview of what the finished result would look like and let us make multiple changes based on his previous suggestions. Too many disappointments, a big regret overall - B126767
Had what seemed a good experience with Bob where we discussed constructively the details of the furniture and what would make sense for the budget and the needs. Also had some interesting points of view and suggestions that was appreciated as well. This could have been a good start to this, but that was the only good part of this process, as you can read below:
Updates: The installation process went according to plan, but a significant number parts were installed damaged:
- doors where the cut doesn't properly fit the handles, on which we were told the supplier of doors is a third party and 5 doors will be replaced
- found dents on parts of the furniture that were likely caused in the transport into the house as the great majority of parts was delivered without any protection, which is a really bad practice - specially compared to other contractors we had over to build laundry and pantry.
- we were told the doors supply may take 15 working days to deliver the new ones, which is quite a long time
- within the 3 days of "reporting period after installation", we ended up finding a few more details of parts that have scrapes and dents, so basically the two wardrobes will have many parts to be replaced.
- two shoe cabinets were designed to have two drawers but the dimensions agreed for them apparently did not support the design, and the assembly of those had to be postponed, which is another drawback
The fact that parts were clearly damaged and were still installed nevertheless is a double sided decision. It's true we could use the wardrobes for now, but we'll have to be moving things around in and out of the wardrobes when the time comes to fix the problem, so the chaos will restart. I have to say I'm quite disappointed, I'd expect parts to have quality and not have to be weeks of back and forth, and it's not like we paid little for the work. Wasn't expecting miracles, just things to be done at first attempt. I have this weird feeling and I hope I'm wrong that there's somewhat an expectation that customers keep slightly damaged parts because it'll be too much of a hassle and disturbance to wait for things to be fixed and replaced. I could see many families' decision happening in many cases to be fair.
The replacement of materials was only partial, the rest were attempts to wax to disguise the defects, which is basically a workaround to owning the issues.
Last but not the least, the shoe cabinets design is unusable due to the dimensions and recess of panels or diminished heights. We were sold something to put two lines of shoes in front of each other, to then get something that only allows one an takes a lot of space to do that. A design flaw to add to everything mentioned above, and a return of the shoe cabinets is undergoing.
Bottom line, don't expect premium quality materials, don't expect the professional posture to not install defective materials, don't expect full ownership of the quality standard issues, and expect corner cutting and workarounds to just get it done and play with your patience as a customer. One of the biggest regrets in purchases I've ever had. And yes, I took another fitter to do other parts and by comparison that one was a completely different approach from start to end. Lessons expensively learned. Never again under any circumstance

Bobby arrived and from that point we felt at ease. He was very friendly and professional. We have had others design company's visit but they were very rigid in their approach with a take it or leave it attitude but for Bobby nothing was too much trouble. Our daughter's room is quite small and an awkward shape. We had some ideas which he took on board and designed a unit that would fit our needs perfectly. He was extremely informative regarding products and designs. Bobby's vision helped us to see what could be achieved and had no problems in making small adjustments to arrive at the best solution for us.

Bobby was our designer, it was wonderful working with him as he took his time to explain everything with us. Together with him we were able to develop wardrobe that meet an our needs and space. He really out looks of effort and passion into his work. He spend lot of time listening to our thoughts and storage needs and able to come out with great design.
