Poor Customer Service
I was tempted by an offer on a new TV from Argos. 10% price reduction and 995 nectar poionts. Bought the TV on 1.12.25 by the 30.12.25 no Nectar points had shown up on my account so I use Live Chat to query it. As has previously been said by numerous reviewers it is absolutely a waste of time. I was told by the customer service clerk "please don't be afraid, I'm here to help you" First of all he said I had already be cretited the points, when I said I hadn't I then had to prove I'd bought the TV. The receipt had the last digits of my credit card number which I said I did not want to give him but he kept saying he could do nothing without the receipt. I asked what information he want from the receipt but he kept going round in circles and became difficult. Saying several times he was just trying to help. Eventually he accepted the order number from the receipt and gave me a reference number of my query and said it'll take 28 days to resolve. So now I have to wait again for these points. In this digital age can someone tell me why it takes so long for what should be a very quick process. I'm not holding out much hope. I certainly won't be tempted again by extra points from Argos and will seriously consider whether to shop at Argos or Sainsburys again. It is very poor customer service.
Nectar don't care about customers
I'm afraid I must join the list of customers, who regularly get fobbed off by customer service, whenever anything goes wrong
3 months, multiple complaints, and still no sign of the 7000 points they've taken & never refunded
The fact not a single 1 star review has any response from Nectar, only goes to highlight the lack of regard & respect they have for customers. I've lost all faith in the company, regrettably
Be determined
I think you have to be very determined when you deal with customer services for Nectar points. On one occasion they flatly refused to let me access my account, for reasons unclear. Then, I messaged via their Live Chat and explained I had forgotten to use my card in Sainsbury's. Could the adviser put my points on? He let me go through the whole process, ID, card number etc., then became difficult. Said he had to see the receipt. I explained I couldn't display the receipt via this Live Chat, but I gave every single detail on it. At last he was so argumentative, I closed the chat and turned to borrowing an I-phone. The system still played up and I couldn't display the receipt but this time the (different) helper was normal. Yes, it was fine, he said, he had enough information from me and he then added my points. So, I'd say keep at it. And absolutely don't let anyone say you lost your points. No, you didn't. That's your credit. You can be sure they get their money's worth when you shop.
Rip off Necter
GIVE ZERO POINTS IF I COULD.
Booked a holiday July 2025 with Tui through Necter.£2800 4x points. In August used there stupid perthetic chat said i had to wait 16 weeks after returned date.Oct still no 4x points contacted chat yes no problem i will apply them.3 weeks later no points contacted chat again had to send all evidence again.Yes no problem will apply them.3 weeks later still no points.contacted them today went through it all again. She disconnect now fuming had to go through it all again to be told no trace of going through necter had to contact tui.i am 100% I did it through necter they are not honoring my points because no email to prove it.So why all other 3 chats giving me the points waisted my energy my time what for NOTHING stick your points where the sun don't shine.no point raising complaints will never get back to you
No point using
Im so fed up of having to keep signing in, this poor app is pointless and useless to the point where it's less stress to pay more in the shops than use it. Customer care is a waste of time. At this point ive lost out on 10k points this year due to not able to get on the app to use it
Worse loyalty card.
My card is joined to one of the partners Argos. As usual waited the necessary days for points to go on guess what, as usual no points added. This seems to be a habit. One of the reasons I very very rarely shop in sainsbury. Nectar is the worst loyalty card out there. I can't be bothered with customer service because they never do anything.
There customer service who has no…
There customer service who has no knowledge of how to speak English ! Very poor customer service ! I providdd my nectar card number the numpty from customer service said the number is not valid !! Proper thick ! I had an email to say I have will get 1000 points ! Full of shit and liars !!!
Impossible to login
Impossible to login. After entering email and password I get taken to a verification code step but the text message never arrives. After speaking to live chat for an hour, I managed to get one code through but had requested like 50 by this point so it was no longer valid. The whole site is so bad it seems intentionally built that way to stop you using your points. This has happened over the course of months so isn't a temporary service issue
Wish I could give less than one star.
Wish I could give less than one star.
Saved our points all year (just under £100 worth) as we have done for many years, to redeem on Christmas food shop - so it feels like we get a “free” turkey etc,,,
This year at checkout we were told that we couldn’t redeem points and had to have “the app”,
.We are pensioners, don,T have an iPhone and so have effectively lost all our points. ABSOLUTELY STUFFED BY SAINSBURYS. SHOPPED WITH THEM FOR 20 YEARS …BUTNO MORE !!
Poor customer service
I got a notification on the app about a bonus points game for a shop at Sainsbury's. I opened it within seconds, but the game did not present itself. I contacted them, but they wouldn't do anything. Also very slow to respond on live chat, and asking for the same information multiple times.
Update - the game did show eventually, several days later. Still poor customer service though.
Someone is fan of Schroedinger's cat
I lost my Nectar card, so I tried to use online one.
It found my information, but I couldn't use it, because I'm not in their database!?
So I tried to register again using the same email address, but it didn't let me, because I'm already in their database!?
Then it could not find my postcode.
Of course Sainsbury doesn't have physical cards anymore.
Very poor customer service
Have contacted Nectar multiple times via chat about missing points and each time just been told to contact them at a later date. They then eventually wanted evidence of how many points I had missed out on and the details of the offer I should have received them under, by which time the offer had ended and disappeared from their app. Why should I have to provide evidence of the details of the offer when it was their offer? When I said I wanted to complain the chat handler was very rude and simply sent me a trust pilot link that didn't work.
Card is complicated useless and works…
Card is complicated useless and works on pretty much FA now...when it does I'll save about 10p out of £20 or something....yippee....not at all worth it....NOT AT ALL...at least it used to save a bit on stuff I buy....not now
Fraud
They stole my nectar points.
I have been saving for a while now.
So today after I finished my shopping I asked the cashier to use my points to reduce my shopping bill.
But guess what. The cashier said my card is not valid. After nearly a year of saving. So between nectar and Sainsbury's they have fraudulently taken my points.
So I shall report these two companies for theft. And I will endeavour to tell as many people as I can to not shop at Sainsbury's or to apply for a nectar card.
Nectar is a nightmare- avoid if possible!
I used to use nectar a lot. I've had the same card for ages. Suddenly while trying to link my nectar account to my Sainsbury's account everything has screwed up! I must have my details wrong! No nectar / Sainsbury you have hopeless IT and a useless help desk. Either fix it or close it would be my advice. Meanwhile I'll shop at Tesco and any other retailer that doesn't do nectar.
poor response from large company
I booked a holiday with tui through the nectar website as they offered 4x points for doing this, the cost of the holiday and extras that I booked at the same time was £1200 so looked forward to the extra points.
When I first contacted nectar regarding the missing points this was after the holiday (which was great thanks to tui) I was advised I needed to wait a minimum of 4 months this I did but still no points, so made further contact and they advised I had not booked through them this was untrue and I asked them to provide me with evidence, since my request nectar have ignored me
Spoke to indra at nectar card today at…
Spoke to indra at nectar card today at 12.30 noon. Truly horrific, I was polite all the way through the call. I will not be using Sainsbury's going to Morrisons and Tesco. I have not got time for nonsense. Would not give me any information asked for head office details. He goes no record found no records found. I will avoid spending here. I have not time for nonsense at all.
