I feel sorry for people who visit news sites to educate themselves on local and world events. This site is full of clickbait rubbish. This is not a legitimate news site. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Living overseas and an Aussie expat, I try to keep up to date with Aussie news. Whenever I hit news.com.au to get the latest, I'm met with the lowest form of tacky news. Over-sensationalized and over-sexualized news that is of no relevance to anyone but people with the lowest of moral standards. I'm over trying to get any sense from Aus through news.com.au.

The absolute worst news in Australian history! Terrible journalists that try to cause more friction among people than delivering facts. Very untrustworthy!

What a shame this mob own the domain name 'news.com.au' the entire site is made up of interns writing about stupid tik tok videos and nothing, mostly stolen articles and nonsense about C graders no-one should care about, sites like this give legitimacy to the cancerous influencer movement.

Todays 'big' news - Britney naked in hotel pics, someone called abbie chatfield who you'd be led to believe is the most important person in the world because there is some inane article on her everyday ( nfi who she is btw ), something about a sex trend, rain at a musical festival, Influencer breaks down in tears watching her ex in concert....

Not to mention the hyperbole clickbait headlines where everything is AMAZING, GENIUS, TRAGIC, OUTRAGOUS and mostly never any of those things..

Who knew there was a war in eastern europe, crippling inflation at home etc... It's an embarrassment.

I signed up for a paid trial and couldn't find anywhere to cancel online. I found buried in the FAQs a note that says you have to call them. Once on the phone, I had t spend 5 minutes working through auto prompts and then wait on hold for 30 more minutes to speak to someone. This is obviously a deliberate tactic to make it "too hard" to cancel. This is absurd.

It is pretty obvious the fiction writers at news.com who call themselves "reporters" and "journalists" are paid by the clickbait adjective. And it's also plain that not one of them owns a dictionary though that may be because none of them knows what a dictionary is. A thesaurus, yes. They have one of those. "Hey, Journot, what's another word for catastrophe?"
"Disaster, armageddon, apocalypse, holocaust..."
"Yeah, fantastic, I'll use all of them."
"What's the story?"
"It's about a guy who spilled beetroot juice on his new pants just as he was about to meet his Tinder date."

Scammers: Deceptive subscription model. Avoid them.

I signed up to 4 week taster I decided I wasn’t interested in having the subscription anymore during that period…however they took my payment one week early & would not refund me. Very poor service.

Just when you think news.com.au couldn't get any worse....BINGO!!! Just a mainly trash talk narrative or gossip service now adds a large bar to tell you you can't see all of the screen because you have an add blocker and how much it hurts them. This "news" site is without doubt the most despicable pile of garbage in the entire sphere of sites which carry the Australian domain extension. They freely and without warning publish headlines about animal cruelty and child kidnapping, abuse and murder, designed to instill anger, revulsion and anguish (example of proof: "A video has shown the horrifying moment a sleeping four-year-old boy was taken from his bed before being found dead in a Texas street").
The "journalists" who publish their rubbish on this site are truly disgusting human beings who deserve the highest level of contempt.
I will continue to inform as many people as possible to stay away from this site of pure evil.
