Atrocious website

Atrocious website. Disgusting behaviour. They feed on public's fear in order to profit. Full of clickbait tactics. I normally do not write reviews but this outlet is an example that legislation must be amended where it disallows media agencies to instil fear and worry into the public in order to raise revenue. This is the same fashion where an individual is prohibited to assault another human being. Why can a news agency commit assault on a regular basis using scare tactics and capitalised headlines to cause stress and concern?

Taking money after my subs cancelled. Scum!

I've cancelled my subscription (early November 2020), but they keep accessing my account and taking the $$ (such as yesterday, 10 January 2021).
I guess their business model includes robbing me. Robbery is where someone takes your money without a legitimate reason. Yep, that's what they are doing.
More annoying than stealing my money is that I have no confidence that another phone call will get them to stop taking my money.
Avoid.

News.com.au, a disgusting bias news outlet.

A ‘so called’ news outlet that employ bias socialist activists, not your “run of the mill” journalists. The “writers”, note the quotations, are always hyper sensitive to topics and always seem to be constantly outraged and offended.

It’s funny, when you check out who all the writers are, there seems to be, at the time of writing this, no people of colour on their payroll, which they’re suppose to be champions of, and literally 2 Asian females. The rest are your typical, modern day millennial, tight jean wearing, bum fluff bearded, commies soy boy males or bitter, scorn, men hating, hippy feminist, both that get a kick of talking down to anyone that has a ‘world view’ that’s not acceptable to their socialist, entitled, authoritarian views.

We have a new ‘rung’ on the ‘lowest of lows’ ladder. Used car sales people then lawyers and now, finally, news.com.au journalists, sorry, activists.

They don’t mind lying over and over, even when a story has been proven debunk, just so they can stick to their narrative by cunningly framing their stories in clever ways to make stories seem truthful. I guess their motive is ‘by any means necessary’ to make sure they ideology is doctrine throughout society. Such a low act from such ‘low information’ writers.

Just by doing a simple ‘Google’ search can be the simplest way to prove half their stories fake, It’s the ultimate deception but I guess that’s what you get we you’re in your own ‘bubble’ and hear your own echo chamber over and over. Tell a lie enough times and people start to believe it.

It’s just a shame that they can’t be help responsible for the damage they’ve done to society and young people’s minds they’ve corrupted and the fear they’ve put into communities by over sensationalising everything they write about. Truely disgusting.

Absolute garbage

Absolute garbage as others have said. More like a trash mag you’d find at the supermarket than actual “news”. Just embarrassingly bad. Example from today, the headline article has a picture of Greg Norman’s son’s girlfriend in a bikini?! Click bait, not news. And yes, disgustingly biased, never more obvious than during their “coverage” (one sided coverage anyway) of the US election.

Incredibly biased and one-sided

This was once a decent website but now it's filled with one-sided misleading articles, that appear to be strongly biased to support its writers' leftist views or create "outrage". It reads more like a tabloid than actual journalism. Now I believe the worst news site in Australia

News Corp Drivel Factory

News Corp drivel factory.

I only used this website because I moved to Australia and googled Australian news. I have since moved to a more trustworthy site.

Have a quick look on the site and you'll see its full of sensationalism and tabloid style reporting.

Low information hybrid of "newsertainment"

As per the title I would describe news.com.au as a "low information" news source that i suspect is aimed at those that want to be informed, yet are afraid of any form of critical thinking on thier own part, besides the fact that thier articles are riddled with typos, and that many of thier 'articles' are in reality just two or three hastily written paragraphs followed by a flurry of screenshots of tweets that do the heavy lifting, anyone with the brain capacity to do any of thier own research on current events will find that thier articles are at best watered down and vague, and at worst, oftenly, blatantly and I fear purposely incorrect.
The biased they have toward the political left, which i suspect is to pander to the predominantly adolescents and university students that unfortunately use this organisations as a method to inform themselves is clear to the naked eye.
An unwillingness to provide context to complicated situations or to create an unbiased reading experience in which a young and impressionable adult might be encouraged to make up thier own mind is absent in all its forms, it instead spoonfeeds its readers targeted points of view and opinions.
While most far left and far right news outlets are guilty of dressing up thier biases as a morale duty unto themselves, this particular news outlet crosses the line into sanctimonious preaching, a dangerous precedent as it requires zero obligation of self study of oneself.
I am aware of the popularity of this outlet and it genuinely concerns me.

Poor Journalism.

Very poor freedom of speech practiced at this news site. Comments MUST comply with the person in charges agenda, or be removed even if nothing offensive whatsoever written . Many headlines/stories are misleading by leaving important points out. Poor journalism.

Disgusting website that supports censorship

Disgusting website that supports censorship and no freedom of speech. They will block every comment if it goes against or doesn't support the personal agenda of the journalist or the position of the website. They don't want their journalists censored but are happy to do it to everyone else's point of view.

Absolutely the worst "news" website!

Absolutely the worst "news" website I have ever come across on the Internet. The fact it's owned by Nine, is no surprise. The panic-inducing/alarmist headlines are enough to make me scream! I am certain this terrible website started the ridiculous toilet roll "crisis" in Australia. The website's never-ending "articles" about panic buying and hoarding were absolutely relentless, "reporting" on what terrible people Australians are, and then in the next paragraph of the same "article", advising those same readers to race out and stock up on items due to the coronavirus. It should be shut down. God! I hate it!!!

News.com.au

News.com.au
Where its not about news, its about using as much of your data as possible to show you endless ads and news videos that have nothing to do with the article you are reading.
Poorly written articles filled with mistakes, spelling and factual.
Overall a Pathetic attempt to lure people with "NEWS" to fill your screen with ads to the point the site has trouble loading.

Low quality yellow journalism at it's worst.

What started out as a news site is now Women's Weekly in web form. It's just celebrity gossip and non-news items. You will never EVER find out what's really happening in the world from mainstream media but these guys are one of the worst offenders. They don't even use spell check ffs.

Trying to extort their customers;
You HAVE to signup for a service, there is no trial. I can see why. Their service purposely has no button to cancel your subscription. You have to call up and go through their ridiculous call wait times to cancel your subscription. No wonder there are so many people opting for pirated news sites. The current ones are a joke.

news.com.au is to be avoided

news.com.au regularly appears in my web news feeds on desktop and mobile. They are the scum of the earth when it comes to news reporting. They give the media a bad name. Their headlines are full of click bait. They glorify violence and everything bad in the world with their terrible viewpoint. Very negative and depressing. It's like a bunch of trashy tabloid writers and got together to make a website. It's shameful on every level and moves the human race back a step for simply existing. How can they hide behind a URL and dare to call it news is beyond me. Their website should be deleted immediately for glorifying violence. And all news com.au reporters should become drug store paperback novelists.
