Excellent service so far.

So far so good. Through initial screening with polite and hardworking staff. A little frustrating waiting for MRI results which has meant a delayed admission for a cohort or two if I pass MRI, but that’s down to the MRI company, not Parexel. Sandeep has communicated efficiently and clearly when I have requested info or confirmation of plans and I appreciate her reassurance and clarity. I’ve been paid rapidly for both screening and MRI, which has been appreciated. As a busy health and social care professional myself, I’ve been impressed with the cleanliness of the facility in Harrow, and the professionalism of the staff so far and am looking forward to working with Parexel going forward.

What a bizarre home page

What a bizarre home page. Why have you got a couple by the Thames with the boy holding the girl's breast on the photo? What has that got to do with drugs? Disgusting social engineering.

I’ve been doing studies with them for…

I’ve been doing studies with them for many years, and they are the only place that when I go there, I am left with very bad side effects for months after I do studies with them. They are also careless about study participants, they don’t really value the study participants’ well-being. The studies at this place are usually very damaging to the body compared to other places. They are extremely strict and they keep mentioning that they pay us a lot of money so we better not complain and instead we should go along with everything they ask of us to do. It’s very unprofessional. I would say they are my last choice because they are not very nice people and they don’t treat the study participants with consideration for their well-being. They just want the study participants to be quiet and not show any signs of any side effects and not complain. So the study participants try not to complain, out of fear of not being called back. A lot of the side effects are not being reported out of fear, and it goes against the principle of doing these studies randomly to find out if the drugs are safe enough to be approved by the FDA.

Inefficiently run business

Such an inefficiently run business. The trial stay was fine for me but the biggest problems are before the admission.

Get rid of booking screenings through phone calls. Takes ages to get through because of long phone line queue most of the time. All that can be replaced with internet survey/questionnaire booking showing live availability.

Screenings always start very late and take 3 hours. Should be punctual always. This is tedious. Improve the system please! Process needs reform

Don't do a clinical trial with this company. One of the worst experiences of my life. The nurses were often exhausted from being up all night. And worse, some were simply crude and incompetent, uncompromising and unsympathetic. One large male nurse even got physical with me, holding my arm tightly, because I expressed discomfort during a procedure. Not all the nurses were awful, but it only takes a few. I carried physical symptoms from this trial for months afterward, and psychological ones too. I'd have sued if I thought it would have gotten anywhere. I was warned about this company and didn't take it seriously. I should have. Avoid.

If there was a zero star option

If there was a zero star option, I would give them that. I still haven't got paid after almost 2 months. Customer services nonexistent. When you email them, they just give you fake promises.
Apparently, they've a 4th or 5th party payment system, so it takes ages!! Can you believe it? As if they've got to cargo the money in a ship from one country to another.

Company like flu Camp pays within 2/3 days.
Avoid at all costs.

Impersonal, Inconsistent and bare minimum.

Clean enough although very small two room facility (one for sleeping and one for hanging out and eating) so it gets very boring very quickly. Shower bathroom facilities are bare basics so lower your expectations. Staff are quite friendly when left to their individual jobs.
However if you ask anyone to assist with anything slightly outside their domain you’re confronted with total deniability and unaccountability, replies are brash.
Food is abysmal and equates to student living, very small portions basic ‘from frozen’ type meals. Paperwork is a mess and confused, retesting and repeated requests for information are common well after the trial. Disappointingly in contrast, personal request for information (in my case a simple verification of my stay to prove that I was there) are met with a total brick wall and after persisting a brash negative response without proper explanation. Had to request to get paid too, weeks after the trial. Communication is non existent, if they want anything they badger you, if you want anything they point-blank ignore you! Unnecessarily disappointing human behaviour personally and professionally. You’re there as a ‘Guinea pig’ for a corporation contracted to Pharma and that’s that in a nutshell!…

Shocking levels of incompetence for a medical testing company

Was told they were having trouble recruiting for a certain trial. Now I can see why.
Almost every interaction I’ve had with Parexel has been difficult and poor.
Communication is shocking, can never get through on the phone (after you eventually get through the 5 minutes of phone messages you’re forced to listen to each time).
Arranged for screening, followed fasting guidelines for 3 days prior and changed numerous plans to be able to make it. 5pm the day before my 8am screening I get called to say it’s been cancelled because ‘it’s one of those things’.
If you’re going to deal with this company be prepared for an extremely painful experience, and that’s before you even get past the screening process.

Get paid is a nightmare

Get paid is a nightmare. The people on charge of this are the more stupid and useless people on earth. Always late, always chasing them. 2 month I waited once to get screening paid.

Disappointing communnication

I went to a screening 2 hours drive away from where I live, but no calls or emails telling me whether or not I'm suitable to do the 6-day trial. I sent an email to ask and was told someone would call back, no one did! I had to call two days before the trial was meant to start. Found out I wasn't suitable, which is understandable, but for those who work and have other commitments (as most do!), it's difficult to arrange times if they can only find out about their suitability a couple of days before whilst no one from the company had adequate communication.
