There is nothing more distressing than seeing your pet sick and feeling totally helpless. My dog has recently been diagnosed with diabetes and it’s very unstable at the moment. He is so unwell and we don’t know if he will make it through this ordeal. Over the Easter weekend, he took a turn for the worse. Who would I call early hours of the morning over Easter? Then I remembered my access with Pawboost to an online vet 24 hours a day. Without that vet, my dog would have certainly died! The wonderful lady vet that dealt with us diagnosed DKA (Diabetic Ketone Asitosis) and it is fatal. She arranged where to take him, they even tell that vet that we are on our way, even supplying a sat map with directions of how to get there. It’s a wonderful service and I can’t recommend enough for pawboost members to use this facility.

Ruth the vet has helped massively put my mind at ease tonight with my puppy, she gave me great advice as i suspected my puppy to have an insect bite (bee) she advised to use a cold compress which worked and to crate rest her. After about a 3 hour nap in the crate she came out very playful and was no longer limping. What a great service this is. Grateful to yumove for allowing me to have this subscription!

you have mobility issues and think this is an option ? think again before you waste time and money. My cat got a bald patch that can be seen with pictures, whoever spoke with me advised to speak with a vet as they cannot prescribe anything, also didn't get any further advise, just my money down the drain.

I’m highly disappointed with PawSquad. I booked two appointments—one for my cat’s ear and another for fleas—and in both cases, they simply told me to visit a vet in person. They offered no treatment or medication, making the service feel completely useless. I don’t understand what the subscription fee is for if they can’t handle basic issues. Total waste of money.

This service is absolutely superb. The vet I spoke to was really good and I got exactly the advice I needed out of hours for a reasonable price. I'm glad this exists and I'll definitely be using it again.

It’s always an efficient service from the team. Dr Parena was thorough and firm. She put my mind at ease straight away. The reassurance was helpful as it’s difficult to know what to do with tiny kitties who can’t indicate what’s wrong. My kitty has been recovering well. All advice given was easy to follow.

Year two with this pet insurance and I’m still purring with satisfaction. Both of my cat babies are insured (because they own my heart and my wallet). I recently used their online vet consultation and was pleasantly surprised — no waiting rooms, no cat carriers, and no dramatic yowling (from them or me). The best part? I got to chat instead of make a phone call. As someone who treats phone calls like a horror movie, this was a huge win. Fast, easy, and drama-free — just the way my cats like their snacks and I like my vet services. Highly recommend!

Paid the fee and no one answered the video call, and no one’s replied to my emails. What a scam, when you’d desperate for advice for your sick animal you’d try anything

I have PawSquad included in my insurance plan and have tried to use the PawSquad app on a couple of occasions but had connection issues - one downside is being unable to switch between other apps whilst in the queue, for example.
However I stuck it out a couple of days ago when my dog went lame. I was connected within 5 minutes and had a video call with a vet, until unfortunately this was terminated for an unknown reason. I was unable to request to reconnect to the same vet which I feel there should be the option to do, so had to wait another 5-10 minutes to begin a new consultation with a different vet.

The vets seemed knowledgeable, comfortable in assessing via video call and provided thorough explanations and advice. Ultimately it saved me potentially hundreds of pounds in emergency vet fees, and I will use the service again.

I had to contact the online vet as I was worried about my puppy. The vet I spoke to was very thorough asking me relevant questions and via video checking my puppy out as a physical vet would have done.
Puppy all recovered now

A quick response on a video call and an equally quick diagnosis of the problem which cleared up quite quickly. We were reassured at the time to know it was unlikely to be serious.

A brilliant consultation great advice problem resolving with a quick chat with a brilliant vet

I waited for almost 30 minutes in the consultation room, but the vet never showed up—super frustrating. To make matters worse, I was accidentally disconnected the first time I tried to use this service. I then had to pay again, assuming I would be refunded for the first attempt. The only contact option I can find is a generic welcome@ email, which is not reassuring. Thankfully I got reimbursed fairly quickly.

Worse ever ADVICE given, dogs got ear infection sent pictures green gunge, was told to use paracetamol for pain relief.

Excellent Service the vet was friendly and knowledgeable.

I have used this service twice recently for advice on my dogs health and both times I was very impressed. Today I spoke to Dr Ruth Northam and she was lovely. Helpful, kind and empathetic- thankyou so much!

The wait time to speak with a vet was very short and the advice given reassured me that what I was doing is correct, the vet also gave extra advice along with links to other potential services that could help in a more holistic approach rather than just medical model.

Utter useless service. The vets can’t prescribe any medication and all they do is either say to wait and monitor symptoms or book an appointment with a real vet in person. So really don’t see the point of this service apart from being a bit of a sales gimmick.
