Good price and fast delivery

I was trying to source a particular Lake shoe, Narrow fittings rarely on offer. Salt Dog were the cheapest and having bought from them before I knew they were good. I already had a Black shoe so went for the white shoe (same model). Richard contacted me regarding size and I told him I was a 42 in the same model shoe in Black. But little did I realise the white shoe is a microplastic shoe unlike the Kangaroo leather Black shoe, the shoe composition makes a difference in fit. I swapped the white shoe for the black/white which is Kangaroo leather. Whatever store would have gone to this much trouble, thank you Richard for your excellent knowledge and Customer Service.

Placed the order and got a personal phone call from a member of the team to discuss the item to check it was correct. Very helpful and knowledgeable!

The shoes proved to be a little too bulky for what I wanted, so I returned them. Nothing to complain about there—their customer service is very good and friendly. This 3-star review is relevant only if you live on the wrong side of the Channel (outside the UK). Return shipping is not reimbursed (26 EUR in my case) and, although they warned me there could be import duties, the amount was double what I expected (70 EUR). So, for me, this experience of buying nothing cost me 96 euros. Long live The Brexit!

After spending a fair amount of time researching what would be the best cycle shoe for my needs I eventually decided to order a pair of shoes from Salt Dog Cycling. I have wide feet with a bunion and Richard pointed me in the direction of the Lake MX242 especially developed for problem wide feet. Richard then offered to provide a fitting session which I readily accepted. The results have been fantastic, the shoes are super comfy and probably the best fit I have ever had.
Well done Richard, you offer a service to be proud of.
