I cannot believe this organisation ! Myself and family visited Braintree Essex recently we are white British , we were unable to visit the salvation army hall , we were told by on site security that we were not welcome to visit and donate ! As the salvation army had a social event on the day I was told we were not welcome only to discover later after asking in a charity shop the the event was to support illegal imagrants in the local community..... I will never donate another penny to the army again not because of supporting imagrants but because the fact I was turned away for wanting to donate

I would like to bring to your attention that when I left the charity shop
I left on good terms with all the staff as I went to help my Parents and I ask the Manager Jackie would I be able to return in the future and her reply was YES
Due to this I have now find out that Im not welcomed to return as a volunteer as we left on good terms, and you are holding me agent things what has happen and treating me as a criminal.
And now when I call you and want to speak to you I'm refused and don’t want my services.
If I remember I kept myself to my self when I was down as I was quiet in the store and hardly spoke
Also when I came to you when I was sexual assaulted and for help and this is how you treat me after every thing I have done.
This I can assure you I am not nothing of the sort. Also I am not a violent person,
As I have put myself out to help others in the shop and when needed
If I can remember I worked Hard in the store
I NEVER HURT THE STAFF IN ANY WAY OR FORM.
I worked downstairs best part of it and I hardly spoke to any one. until I was moved upstairs to help on the shop floor..
Now I know where I stand with the store and what you think of me.

DONT DONATE AT THE NORTHAMPTON SALVATION ARMY AS IF IT NOT GOOD THEY WILL BIN IT.
and this is how the Salvation Army. superstore Northampton treat you and that you like dirt

Do not donate to salvation army charity shop Hadleigh. The staff are so rude no customer service. No manners . I dropped some new clothes shoes even a bag with the label still on it not even a thank you next time will find a nicer charity shop. Or sell on vinted . Shes been there along time and I find her unpleasant. Feel sorry for the paid staff to put up with such behaviour. I have never witnessed such behaviour for a charity volunteer. Its sad to witness. But a lovely shop to come to as the Asian lady is bonnie and great with customers.

I volunteer at The Salvation Army Lurgan, Northern Ireland Charity Shop where we are like a Family, a lot of reviews on here are sadly negative so I wanted to leave a positive review, I’ve been a customer at other Army charity shops both here and in Canada and always had a good experience from the volunteer Staff, we enjoy a chat and a laugh with our customers, volunteers and the kind people who donate items to the shop to help raise money for the less fortunate in our community that is what The Salvation Army was founded to do

I am really impressed with the Salvation Army charity shop in Longton, Stoke-On-Trent. There is a fantastic range of goods, some are brand new clothes, and others pre-loved, all in great condition and very good value, affordable. Every time I go to this shop, all the staff are friendly, helpful and give great advice.

Salvation Army has abandoned the british public, they no longer help the british homeless or vulnerable.
Your charity donations around the UK are ALL being used to help assist illegals in the hundreds of thousands in local Salvation Army Buildings.

Nationally, The Salvation Army provides beds for 3,000 people every night in 81 residential hostels, called Lifehouses, across the UK and the Republic of Ireland.

Awful
Absolutely awful experience in the Berwick Upon Tweed store.
Dropped off four bags of nearly new clothes and when I went back they were unopened and in re cycling bin.
Will not be donating anything again.
This store has gone downhill in the last six months:(

my wife has course in Bristol Easton Salvation Army we paid 2 course £80 and £30 but the experience she had is unaccapable its realy racism agaist her religion those useless trainee can,t hide his hate agaist her religon its unacaptle and we depend refund because she can,t do the courses because of these useless haters

Visited Savation Army Shop in Winsford…
Visited Savation Army Shop in Winsford Industrial Park and was served by Dan.
Dan was beyond fantastic and was attentive, helpful and an absolute blessing to be served by him.
We bought a lot of fragrances and needed a wet wipe for a cut, it was no trouble at all for him to get wipes from his car.
Dan is an asset to the store and a great assistant to the manager there.

Avoid a Scammer Charity
Our local salvation army in Shipley has introduced a parking fine system whereby if you walk out of the shop for 5 minutes and go over the road to support other businesses in the area , you get fined 100 quid. This, despite having just bought something in their shop.
The person who served me laughed at my misfortune. I'm furious. It goes against everything that the salvation army stands for. It's horrible to see them worshipping Mamon the god of money. I've spent £100s in this shop but will NEVER visit Salvation army again

The parking system at that site is managed by our trading arm, Salvation Army Trading Company Ltd (SATCoL), and your feedback is important to us. You may be referring to reports concerning a Christmas meal held at one of our premises and we would like to offer more context, which we hope will be helpful.
The Christmas meal you saw was organised and paid for by Care4Calais, and The Salvation Army only provided the room. Our intention was simply to offer a space so that people could experience welcome and community at Christmas.
This did not take resources away from our local work in Braintree. This year we provided presents for over 200 children, delivered 80 Christmas dinners, and welcomed 60 guests for Christmas Day.
Across the UK and Ireland, The Salvation Army provides around 3,000 beds every night in 81 Lifehouses, including specialist support for veterans. More than 68,000 Christmas gifts are also shared each year with people facing hardship.
