About 7 years ago I had a horrible experience with SMP in London. I had 8-10 sessions and it turned out terrible! The colour didn't match it didn't blend at all with my existing hair and faded super quick. It was an absolute nightmare and I was told this was because of my skin type, so I gave up on SMP thinking it was my fault that it didn't work. I now know that was bullsh*t! I saw some of grants work and started talking to him about potential treatment and told him about my bad experiences in the past and he reassured me and explained why the treatment didn't work before, this was because the previous SMP tech didn't know what they were doing. I thought as they were in London they would be the best but this wasn't the case! I went for my first session with grant and was amazed by the results! It blended perfectly and the colour matched! I've just had my 3rd and last session today and it looks unbelievable! I feel so much more confident in myself and it looks better than I ever expected! Don't even hesitate to go with grant you won't be disappointed, I genuinely believe he is the best at what he does!

Grant is a genius. Top up treatment for me. Happy with previous treatment but now it looks a different in best possible way! Utterly chuffed!

Well what can I say…
Grant from start to finish has been absolutely perfect!..from the way he conducts his craft to the way he looks after his clients throughout the process and the aftercare.

I had my smp done elsewhere about 3 years ago and it was horrendous.. it was so bad I had to have laser treatment on my whole head to remove it.. it effected my mental health so much I didn’t wanna leave the house or do anything I really struggled with day today day life because of it.

I came across grant on Instagram and was completely drawn to his page and how professional it looked so I made the decision to message him to ask about laser treatment.From that day onwards grant was very reassuring and confident that he could help me and get it removed..

So after having the laser treatment and getting nearly all of it gone which I thought would never happen.. me and grant had a conversation about me having smp done again..It’s something that I vowed never to do again after the trauma I went through in the past.

But after seeing grants work and how he was reassuring with me and confident in his ability to achieve what I wanted I made one of the best decisions and decided to book in with him.

Fast forward to the completion of my treatment I’m over the moon with the outcome! I have my wedding next year and I feel the best I’ve felt in years. My confidence is back and I mentally feel me again.. no more hats and no more feeling paranoid about loosing my hair!

Grants attention to detail is outstanding to..the way his made my smp look natural is crazy.. his so reassuring he talks you through the whole process and his treatment of his clients doesn’t stop when you walk out the door his aftercare is also perfect always seeing how I feel and checking up on me .. I feel like a friend more then a client and I can’t praise him enough it’s the best decision I’ve made so if your on the fence about having smp done by grant (like I was only because of my previous treatment) then don’t I wish I had it done sooner

I couldn’t be happier!! I have been suffering with a lack of confidence due to my baldness for quite some time. I had never heard of SMP before, until a work colleague mentioned he was having this done. Trained with Grant in advanced SMP in September and I learned so much valuable information during the intensive course. Including; hairline mapping, pigment choice, machine and needle theory, consultation process, precare, aftercare, health and safety and social media advice. The experience Grant has and the amount of knowledge he has and is willing to share with his students is incredible- I highly recommend anyone who wants to train in SMP or upskill to choose Scalperfection. Grant is a master of his craft and a he’s a brilliant teacher too.

I recently had a course of SMP treatment with Grant. 3 sessions in total. I definitely made the right choice with choosing Scalperfection and Grant. There are real risks with having this done if it's done badly, I'm extremely pleased I spoke to Grant and had the treatment with him. Absolutely fantastic service and i couldn't be happier with the results.

I had been researching SMP for the last 3-4 years but just never had the confidence to pull the trigger. That was until I bumped into an old friend and witnessed Grant's work first hand. After seeing the results i literally contacted Grant the next day and got booked in!
The rest is history. My only regret was not finding Grant sooner!

I had been looking into having SMP for a while and had spend hours on end doing reasearch and I came to the conclusion that Grant was the person to go to as i felt he had the best reviews, best results and the only person I noticed that was sponsored. I have never written a review before but i felt Grant’s work fully deserved a review! I spent a couple years looking into SMP and i kept coming back to Scalperfection as my favourite work that i had seen. My work consisted of 3 sessions working on my fue scarring and the top of my head behind my current hairline. I am very happy with the outcome i think it’s been done great, I always wanted the option to grow my hair back out if I wasn’t fully comfortable with keeping it shaved, Grant did give his honest opinions throughout and i agree with him i think with my level of hairloss i would be best to keep it shaved down, however I will grow it out and see how i go, but it’s ideal to know i can now shave it back down next year without scar issues and looking quite bald if i feel its just too much to keep. Grant’s been truely amazing in all ways throughout this process i am very thankful for his time and patience with me. I would not hesitate to go back to scalperfection in the future if i need any further work.

I researched into having this done due to losing my hair I looked into many other company’s and came across Grant I studied his work and posts online and nothing else came near,not even close tbh. After plucking up the courage to contact grant due to my anxiety I’ve never felt so at ease. All the way through the treatment he was there answering my every question even tho I asked many never did I get fobbed off or a short reply, it was always with care and he made me at ease. If you’re thinking about having this treatment there would be no one else I’d even consider. Grant is incredible! I live in America and the guy is just super genuine and down to earth. He has fully talked to me about everything Smp and what to watch out for and even gave me his opinion on who I should use and why he would if he was In the states! Couldn’t recommend him enough customer service wise and if I lived in the UK he would be the only person I would consider look at his results ! Dude is just an awesome human being who truly cares about this industry and how the client looks long term!!!

I was recommended to book in with Grant for scalp micropigmentation but initially I felt apprehensive about the procedure so I arranged an initial consultation and felt totally at ease. Grant is an amazing therapist who made me feel so relaxed. He takes great care and perfection in his work and the results are phenomenal. I am over the moon with the look he has achieved and would not hesitate to recommend Grant to my friends and family.

After losing my hair I started shaving my head but I was still left with that annoying horse shoe shape at the back of my head.
I bumped into one of Grants clients and was surprised at the results of his treatment. I messaged Grant, He got back to me really quickly and after an informative call I booked up straight away.

The receding hairline over the years had never really bothered me much.. it was the crown.. that thinning.. that spot widening as time passed.. to me it typified ageing.. looking old.. which in itself was a ridiculous mindset because age isn’t the only factor to losing our hair. I needed to find a solution one way or another.. an end result that I could accept and finally leave all the mental angst behind me.. it’s exhausting having it on your mind practically all the time and continually dealing with that crushing blow to your self-confidence.

I came across SMP around five years ago.. here was something that both embraced my willingness to shave my head but also give the impression that I had simply made that conscious decision to shave my complete head of hair.

Six months ago I made another appointment.. this time with a different vendor.. Scalperfection.. like before I’d poured over numerous before/after examples.. lots that I liked and others that I thought wouldn’t suit me.. just like before an initial video call.. with a guy called Grant. This time though it was a little different to the last.. Grant actually seemed to genuinely care and empathise with my state mind.. appreciate the angst.. the journey.. and spoke to ‘me’ as an individual with confidence, expertise and certainty that this would work really well for me .. before I’d felt a bit like the ‘next-one-up’ cash cow.. this was more personal and it helped put my mind at a greater ease than before.. this time unlike before I was going to follow through and not bail.

I’m not going to say that the next two weeks were without any doubts.. but Grant was there to bounce off as and when.. he knew my mindset and it’s ability to bail.. he gave me the constant reassurance I needed and enough confidence to get me to that session 1 appointment. Let me just say here.. Grant is an SMP expert.. I don’t say that lightly.. his skill and knowledge with the ink is second to none as far as I can tell.. but it’s also his ability to personalise it to you.. the individual.. what suits one may not suit another for a whole variety of reasons.. when you undergo this with Grant, he is going to do what is and will look right for you.. trust him.. his expertise.. and the process.

Obvious nerves when I arrived for session 1. For the next four/five hours Grant did his thing with a combination of background music and conversation.. all very relaxed.. virtually zero pain as far as I was concerned.

I’m not sure how to describe what followed next.. and in particular for the next few days. Any words I write for you to read here will not convey to you the affect that it had on me. Suffice to say if I tell you that at one o’clock that following morning I sent Grant a message saying that I was still wide awake and buzzing.. could not only feel it return in waves.. I could see it on my face.. I felt so much happier in myself and just a complete sense of relief.. that mental anxiety had simply disappeared. It was a defining moment for me personally that others will never know or appreciate.. one I’ll not forget.

How was it going back to work I hear you say? Facing your friends? Easy.. Comments like “so you’ve shaved your head then?”, “it suits you”, “blimey, makes you look younger” were all recorded. When I picked up my teenage daughter, who I’m incredibly close to, she said “so you finally got the barber to do it then?!”… followed by the one comment which she made that really convinced me how good it looked “well, I don’t hate it”.. coming from a teenage fashion obsessed daughter.. vindication itself.

It’s been a long mental journey.. should a simple thing like hair loss have such a defining influence on our mental well-being? Probably not.. but I can only convey to you the enormous positive impact doing this has had on me, I’m far happier in myself and relaxed about my appearance than I have been for a long time.. which in turn means I’m living a better life, interacting with others more confidently and enjoying the moment far more.. as for hair loss now?.. I just don’t think about it.

My husband has recently completed his treatment. He has gradually lost his hair over the years and whilst it didn’t bother me, I know it affected his confidence so I supported him when he chose to have SMP. He was nervous but the help and guidance he received from Scalperfection was amazing. I have to say I was sceptical about the outcome but the finished result looks so good. After not really knowing if this treatment was for me an enthusiastic phone call with Grant really helped me to understand the process and end results. Grant shared all information on his treatment with pictures, info sheets and websites which made it clear to me that this was the correct treatment. Further to this his depth of knowledge in SMP is a level up with him openly sharing his thoughts and what he is doing during the treatment. All round top bloke really, who wants the best for you which then returns through great results. Grant made the process flow without hiccup and I now have a hair line!

Grant was amazing from session 1-3. He explained everything for me and made it nice a clear what was going to happen. The results were amazing and I’m so glad I went to him as opposed to a hair transplant. Topman and easy to chat with.
