Shackletons Home & Garden Avis 

Just a heads up to others who may want to go here with their dog - AI says it is dog friendly but it isn't. I believe the garden centre (which is where we had stopped off at) is aware but doesn't know how to remove the AI info. We did look on the garden centre website but couldn't find anything relating to dogs - perhaps the website needs amending to reflect this, just a thought.

Bought garden furniture which according to the website was eligible for free mainland delivery however, at checkout there was a £60 “Highlands & Islands” surcharge.
Attempted to call to discuss this but the number on the website was not recognised.
Eventually found another number and was informed that the charge was down to the delivery company and had to be paid.
I live 35 miles north of Edinburgh just off the motorway network about 250 miles from Shackletons. Interestingly if I lived at Lands End, 400 miles from Shackletons there would be no delivery charge, go figure.
I asked the delivery driver if he was aware of the surcharge but he had never heard of this before.

Excellent from start to finish.
Easy to order. Great communication from them and their courier as to when and how the delivery would arrive.
Arrived on time as pre arranged time.
Slight problem that customer service dealt with in a prompt friendly professional manner. Can tell this is a family run company and your not just another number.

I have bought several things over the years from Shackletons, but recently purchased a large olive tree. Fantastic chap in the garden centre (Jon I think) and delivery was spot on (Ivan). Genuinely a great place.

Viewed the product in store and then placed order by phone. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful in helping to place the order. Product arrived on time. The quality of the furniture is very good. The table when fully open comfortably seats 6 and looks well even for seating just four. The dining chairs are comfortable and look lovely. Very good value for money. Looks great with matching sideboard.

Great service, quick delivery and the Furniture looks great!

Some delay in getting my initial order accepted but once it was, the process worked really well. Good information on the delivery and everything was supplied exactly as expected. The product is superb very happy.

What a lovely company to deal with. I ordered a leather armchair and matching stool and three side tables on the phone from a super helpful lady, warm professional and super knowledgeable. I had to send the tables back as whilst lovely, they were too big. That was this morning, and refund processed already, just a couple of hours later. No hassle or fuss. Brilliant. Well done Shackletons and thank you.

Firstly the product (table & chairs) is great quality and a great price. Secondly, the delivery experience using their selected carriers was faultless.
