Loft conversion - Peter and the team were excellent throughout. Very efficient from start to finish including providing a very competitive quote and delivering the build on time which we appreciated greatly given that we were expecting a baby. Excellent service and highly recommend!

We chose SimplyLoft after taking quotes from several companies. Simply came with a competitive price among the big companies and I also felt assured that they would do a good job. I can say that they lived up to their promise. The entire Simply team was very supportive through the construction process dealing with any issues that arose. Selvin, the architect from the Simply team was also very helpful providing prompt and detailed answers to all our questions. Oli as project manager did a great job as well. He is very friendly and always took the time to explain things to us. His men and other subcontractors - electricians, plumbers, and plasterers were also very friendly and did a great job. The only issue I would have is the time it took to complete the conversion as the project was about a month delayed. However, in the end, the job was well done and the quality of work was excellent, which matters. Oli is a good project manager who listens to your needs and goes out of his way to do his best to deliver them. Overall, I am happy with Simplyloft and Oli the project manager and highly recommend them.

Simply loft made the whole experience stress free. It provided a greater sense of security than dealing directly with a contractor. I had an app with all the info available, timeline, payments made and added variations that made the whole financial, planning and building process easy and transparent. The contractor we had was amazing, very friendly and communicative and with great attention to detail. He went the extra mile to meet all our needs. Overall, we were very happy with the process and final result and all work was completed in the estimated timescale. Highly recommended.

We are very pleased with our new loft conversion giving us a new bedroom and bathroom. We were kept up to date by Mark’s team and Lucy from customer service. The team worked long hours and tried to keep the noise down at certain times as I have a young baby needing naps at various times. The finish in the bathroom and particularly the tiling was done to a very high standard. Really pleased overall!

Things took a little longer than anticipated, but we were kept informed through the build on what was happening. I’ve already recommended Simply to friends of ours, who will be also using them for their loft conversion.

It can be worrying when choosing a company to do major work for you and I have had some really bad experiences with builders in the past and so it was a bit daunting to ensure that I chose the right company and I certainly did. The price was a major factor and I really liked the whole process, from the Architect who was amazing, to the weekly calls to ensure all was going well, to the payment process and stages as everything was transparent. I would highly recommend Simply Loft the experience with them has been second to none! The Architect worked with me extensively to ensure that I was happy and got what i wanted and ensured that the plans would be approved even if it mean delaying things. The builders were amazing and have finished the project ahead of time. Their work ethic is on point, always early or on time, working late on some ocassions to get the job finished. They respected our home unlike a lot of builders they always cleaned up after themselves. The project Manager Albano was in regular contact ensuring all went smoothly. I am really happy with my loft conversion.

From a recommendation from friends, we chose to use Simply Loft. The way the quote was presented with our questions being answered quickly, reassured us we were making the right decision. Once we were signed up, everything was organised for us, with various people coming in at set times getting all the paperwork in place.

The building team we got were great. They were polite and friendly (yes some of their English was basic – so lots of smiling!), but we always felt safe with them in our home and that we could communicate easily with the project manager via phone / WhatsApp.

We are delighted with the finished loft conversion and very grateful that nothing went wrong. We would certainly recommend Simply Loft to other people.

Simply Loft completed our Loft Conversion in January 2022. I wrote a very positive review at the time and this is now a follow up review on an issue we have recently had. About 6 weeks ago we had a small leak appear in our dormer ceiling. I contacted Simply who arranged for a contractor to come out and take a look within a week of me reporting the problem. The issue diagnosed was that at the time of construction the sub contractors had not put in the correct insulation or ventilation into the dormer roof and this resulted in condensation gathering which resulted in the wet patches and water drips we were having. To fix the issue the work that had to be carried out was to rip out the ceiling, re-insulate, re-board the ceiling, skim the celling and redecorate the room. Externally the facia had to have air vents added to it.
Once the work had been agreed by Simply scaffolding was erected and the work was completed to a high standard and within 10 days. The team were professional and courteous and ensured that they protected the carpet and fitted wardrobes. Any mess was cleaned up on completion.

The main objective of this review is to congratulate Simply on their customer service as many companies offer warranties at the point of sale but very few honor them in the way Simply have, where they have completed all the required remedial works without trying to cut corners.

For this reason I would recommend Simply as issues can arise after major construction, however it is how those issues are resolved which determines a professional company from others.

We are so pleased with the experience we had with Simply Loft. From the initial site visit, through to the help we had designing our loft conversion with our designated architect, as well as our build team; everything ran smoothly and to budget.

We initially had four quotations through and Simply Loft seemed the most professional and thorough with their pricing. In the end it represented excellent value for money. Our building team were extremely polite and courteous throughout the entire project and it was great to have the Simply customer service team checking in regularly to see that everything was running smoothly.

The finish is excellent and couldn't be more happier with the end result and the extra space our loft conversion has created. We are looking forward to inviting family and guests over this Summer!

Should we ever move home, we will definitely be using Simply Loft again and have recommended them to many of our friends in the area.

Simply Bad Business.

We were advised that our simple loft conversion would take on average 3 months to complete….it ended up dragging on for 9months!! We were able to move in after 6 months but it took an additional 3 months to fix some very basic snagging issues. We have found working with simply extremely frustrating and would not recommend this company to others based on our personal experience. Around month 5 of living in a building site with a new baby, we were getting so frustrated with the lack of communication and lack of work happening (sometimes the builders would not turn up for 2 weeks solid) that I decided to leave a review on trust pilot and google stating our dissatisfaction with the process. This was a last resort to get their attention, as we were getting nowhere with the project manager or anyone at simply. We would contact the project manager almost every day and he often had an excuse as to why the workers had not turned up or things had been delayed. Simply were not particularly helpful in pushing things forward or pressuring the PM to make us a priority either. He always had another job to finish or work on and we constantly felt like an after thought. It was exhausting having to chase them for months on end.

Lo and behold, it worked, the review got their attention and the guy who runs the company called me within MINUTES of me leaving the (very honest and fair) review. He threatened and intimidated me over the phone and told me to take the review down immediately as I was in “breach of contract” , he said they were going to send a letter to my home (which I assume was to threaten legal action if I do not alter or delete this review). He also instructed the project manager to halt all work on our house until I took the review down (I have an email in which he confirms that he did this himself). We thought about fighting it and I reported them to trustpilot but we were so exhausted and fed up at this point and so close to being able to move in to the loft that we agreed to take the review down. We were told we would be “compensated” for our trouble but never were. It’s not even about the money at this point, even a card would’ve been appreciated. It’s about having the human decency to recognise you have not upheld your part of the bargain. It’s about running a business properly. Taking responsibility for your mistakes and being professional and polite in the process. I was disgusted by the tone he took with me on the phone with no concern or care with regards to our experience - only about how they will look online as a company. The fact that they have a non-disparagement clause in the contract in the first place says a lot. You wouldn’t need that in a contract if you believed in your business and the quality of work and care you provide. We didn’t realise this was in the contract until we put the review up but if we had known it would’ve been a HUGE red flag.

I hope others reading this are encouraged to leave honest reviews in the future without fear of being threatened by this company to remove them, like we were.

The only positive thing we have to say is that the quality of the work in the end was decent but it took 6 months longer than planned and the customer service was pretty bad throughout. I’m sure this review will hurt the boss’s fragile ego once again but I hope he reads this and learns from it rather than calling to shout at me down the phone. Don’t waste your energy. I will not be removing this review no matter how much you try and bully me into it. The contract is in my Wife’s name anyway, not mine, so if you did want to threaten me again with legal letters and emails from your “solicitor”, go ahead, you don’t have a leg to stand on.

AVOID this company.

Update : no surprises. Once again, we have received a phonecall, a long rambling email and a county court claim attempting to sue us for £8k unless this review is taken down.

We have had to seek legal advice in order to create a defence. Take note - This company will send you a county court claim if you leave a negative review- even if your experience with them was genuinely negative ! Baffling way to run a business.

I stand by everything I have said in this review as the truth and an honest opinion of my experience and am leaving it up as I believe it is in the public’s interest.

Simply offered the most detailed and cost effective quote for our loft extension, carried out by surveyor Cem. He spent a significant amount of time liaising back and forth with me to make sure the quote included all the specs we wanted for full price transparency.

After reading other reviews of Simply, we requested to work with Ben Warren as our main builder, which Simply were able to sort for us. We were so happy with Ben and his team. Ben was also Project Manager which meant the process ran very smoothly. Alongside being happy with the quality and speed of the build, they were just a very nice bunch of guys who we were happy to have in our personal space day to day.

Simply themselves were also fantastic to work with - our customer service contact Lucie regularly called us to make sure we were happy with progress. They also made health and safety site visits to review the works underway and make sure everything was up to scratch (which it was!).

All in all, we have been left with a lovely loft extension, which came in on budget, and we have recommended Simply and Ben Warren to family and friends!

We used Simply Loft for our recent loft conversion and are thrilled with the work. We had a pretty tight timeframe to turn it all around before our baby was born and the team were great at accommodating and working quickly. We had to make a couple of tweaks to plans during the build and the team were great at supporting us through it. Would defo recommend and consider using them again for future building work.

We did a whole bunch of research going into our loft build as this was the first time we'd done work to our house on this kind of scale, and we really wanted it to be right! Thankfully, we needn't have worried; Cristian and his team were brilliant. Always had a smile on their face. Always gave us a weekly update at the start and end of the week. Always communicated throughout the week on our whatsapp build group. They were transparent and totally professional and really went above and beyond for us, especially when it came to finishing everything to a really high standard. We would work with them again in a heartbeat.

We used Simply Loft for our recent loft conversion. We are really happy with the work carried out by Laz and his team. I was pregnant at the time and we were keen for the build to be completed before my due date which was quite a tight timeframe. Simply Loft listened to our concerns and changed our contractors to a team that could start the project sooner and finish it more quickly.

The builders achieved the deadline! More importantly, they were lovely people to be around. Very communicative, friendly and professional. We built a nice relationship with them, to the extent that our dog grew to love them and they came back to meet our baby after he was born! The work was carried out to a high standard and they always checked that we were happy with the approach they were taking.

We are delighted with our loft conversion - Andi and his team did an amazing job. They were professional, polite and respectful throughout the process. It’s never fun having building work but they really did make it a very positive experience. We had ordered a bespoke window for the loft and they had to make the space super high to accommodate it which was no easy feat. They did a fantastic job and the window looks awesome. I would highly recommend using Andi and his team via simply for anyone looking to do a loft conversion.

Simply recently completed a loft conversion for me. I am super happy with the end result and the whole process was made as simple as possible, from the easy dashboard and payment structure to the planning of the space and design. Eddie and his team were truly fantastic and went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable with all the decisions I had to make giving me full and transparent details of all options, additional costs together with knowledgable recommendations. They were extremely professional, respectful and friendly and the whole team were genuinely lovely to work with. Even my neighbours loved them!

Coordination of services, workmanship and taking us through the processes was all very good, communication throughout the process was excellent and any questions or issues were resolved swiftly.
