Smokingpipes selection is very good, with a wide variety of classic shapes, newer shapes, top line names, and lesser known options. The ordering and payment process was easy, shipping was surprisingly fast, and the quality was excellent. (In fact, I liked my last recent order so much in a curved style that I immediately ordered a second of the same brand in a straight version.) I will enjoy the additions to my pipe collection I've made through this company, and will definitely be making future purchases from them. When I sent an email thanking them for their impressive service and inquiring about a particular pipe brand, it was answered within a couple of hours. I would (and will) recommend Smokingpipes to all of my pipe smoking friends.

I was a loyal customer for 14 years, and I always had a good experience with folks in customer service, many of whom I knew on a first-name basis. My complaint is focused on a business model that rewards customers only on the amount the spent the previous year. From 2014 to 2022 I purchased almost exclusively from SMP - pipes, tobacco, and accessories. In 2022, I spent much of my time in Maine in support of my elderly parents. Maine prohibits receiving tobacco by mail, and for the first time in many years, I was made fewer pipe purchases. This apparently dropped me below a certain amount spent at SMP, and when I went to purchase a desired pipe on January 2, 2023, I saw that I no longer had the 10% discount that I had for many years previous. Now, it is not that discount amount that bothered me but the fact that I was a well-established customer - over 100 pipes purchased and gold-medallion standing in several of their badges. While I am sure that the SMP folks are well-respected in the pipe-smoking community, I question their business model that focuses only on the amount spent in the previous year to determine discounts, particularly in a community that prides itself on human relationships. This business model seems to care less about human relationships than on the profit margin. I still place orders with SMP on occasion, but I deleted my account and use it only as a guest. Instead, I prefer to give the majority of my business to those companies that care more about the human relationships than the profit margin - Blue Room Briars, Briar Blues, Dave Neeb are among those that I prefer, and I deal mostly with Mars Cigars for my tobacco purchases. I encourage the folks at SMP to reevaluate their current business model. Losing one long-term customer of 14 years should be a red flag to most folks, but the SMP folks did not bat an eye when I deleted my account. If they don't care about me, I surely care not about their success and will use them only at my convenience.

I made an order in Jan 2023. I still have not received my order yet. I have been waiting for 5 months! Customer service just ignored it!!

My husband loves this company. I recently used them to get two pipes for his birthday. Not only is the shipping insanely fast but they offered wrapping paper that matched the Peterson pipes I got him. He was so excited! That was such an sweet extra touch. I love this company!

Terrible service and dishonesty. The description of the pipes are described incorrectly. The description of tobacco is not correct too. Be careful, do not believe what they write and check the product using other sources..

Extremely poor Customer Service. I placed an order for a special limited edition pipe only to be told the next day that they had double sold the pipe and it went to someone else. Of course by the time they told me this all of the similar pipes were gone and only the poorer quality, less desirable pipes were left. Compounding my disappointment and frustration, it appears that this problem has been going on for at least a year but the company has not been able to deal with it. I will never buy from them again.

Love my Savinell Punto oro classic natural 601. The 3mm hole is perfect.

TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED. I ODERDED MY PIPE SINCE NOV,2021. UNTIL NOW, IT'S ALREADY SIX MONTH STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVE MY ITEM. Keep saying on the verifying process. I'm not applying immigration. I just purchasing a pipe only. What kind of investiage that they are doing!!!!!!!!
I sent my last email to their on 1Mar and 9Mar 2022. No one reply my email.

Better than a Wonderful Experience
This is without doubt the best online service I have ever received. The products are well described, the prices are excellent and the mecompany goes out of its way to serve and understand foreign customers. With all that said, I can not say enough about the fantastic customer service and followup. Every member of the Smoking Pipes staff seems to have been specially trained to understand their products and customer needs. You can "chat" online or by phone anytime and everyone is fun and interesting to talk to. It is obvious that the employees' of this company love their work and the customers that support them. Special thanks to Ashley who help me out lately with some difficult questions.
There seem to me there are lots of online companies these days, and of course that is natural, due to many factors but not all of them have remember the customers are what keep them in business. Smoking Pipes is like dealing with a company or store when I was young. The attitude is obviously the customer is "important and always right". A truely pleasant change from some of the online encounters I have had in the recently.

My experience with smoking pipes has alway been top notch service from ordering pipe tobaccos & pipes. I recently ordered my Christmas/birthday gift this year, I ordered my new Serjacopo rowlett rusticated apple maxima pipe,from smoking pipes, on Monday November, 15th 2021 & I received it on the 17th. I love my serjacopo rowlett pipe. My new Serjacopo rowlett pipe, is the best looking pipe, that smoking pipe, had. I’m so glad I snagged it up before anyone else could buy it,& now I’ll wrap it up, & open it Christmas morning. I”ll smoke plumb pudding special reserve, or aged bourbon barrel plumb pudding, in it on Christmas morning 2021. I’m hoping to get my 2 tins of stonehaven in time for Christmas, so I can smoke it, out of brand new Serjacopo rowlett pipe, that would be perfect.. Smokingpipes has always treated me,with excellent customer service & all my orders on pipes & tobaccos. There service for me is top notch.

Paid the full prize got a second of degree 1 with relatively minor issues. Needed to write twice as I got ignored first time. The woman in the customer service with the Italian name was borderline rude. Not even a 5 Euro voucher or something. Unpersonal mass delivery vibe surrounding the company. On the seconds they provide only 1 standard photo where you don't even see the damage.

I've spent lots of money with SP, and I have generally good things to say about the customer service and prompt delivery..however my last pipe purchase was sub par to say the least. The finish was poor and it had a loose stem. Almost felt like a proper inspection was not given before it was mailed to me. Not the first pipe to come to me with issues.. I was told to polish it with a pipe rag and use a q tip with hot water to fix the tightness of my stem, or send it back and have them look at it. I've literally made silver status in close to 6 months. I would've liked to be offered a new clean looking pipe with no flaws. A swap. Maybe I was expecting too much from a large company. I'm disappointed, not bitter. Thought I'd share.

I have been looking for plum pudding here in the UK forever. My woman ordered me this from SP.com and it came within a couple of weeks and now I have probably the most excellent gift to open up for Christmas.
