I bought a bike from South Downs Cycles and was very pleased with the service. Before ordering, I spoke with Martin, the owner, who was friendly and gave helpful advice.

After I placed the order online, Martin rang to explain that the bike had just sold out. He offered the same model in a different colour, which normally costs £250 more, but honoured the original price.

I recently purchased a Specialized Levo from South Downs Bikes and couldn’t be more pleased with the experience.

I dealt directly with Martin, the owner, who was incredibly helpful from start to finish. I managed the entire purchase over the phone, and Martin made the process straightforward, clear, and completely stress-free.

The bike was delivered to my home, and the gentleman who brought it was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Importantly, he was also a mechanic, meaning he was fully capable of handling any issues if they had arisen (none did). This really stood out to me, as a previous purchase from another bike shop resulted in having to return a bike due to issues, and the delivery person on that occasion wasn’t a mechanic which caused unnecessary delays and inconvenience.

It’s clear that Martin genuinely cares about the reputation of his business. The level of service was exceptional throughout. I only wish every bike shop were this easy to deal with.

I would highly recommend South Downs Bikes to anyone considering a purchase.

Ordered a Rockhoper, great priced bike at about 4.30 on a Wednesday. Email to check weight at 7.30pm
Phone call at about 10.30 Thursday to check I'd be in between 5 to 7pm
Bike delivered by South Down Bikes, not a delivery agent.
Fully set up and suspension tuned for my weight at 5.10pm, 25 hrs after ordering.

Martin was so friendly and helpful as were the entire staff at Storrington. I've called in many times over the years but the store is some distance from where I live so I used to shop more locally.
Not anymore. Southdown Bikes is firmly my favourite bike shop now.

Bought a shimano wireless from there came perfectly boxed and was quick delivery. Arrived in estimated time aswell

Purchased a gift token for a son in-law so straight forward this time. I have used them in the past for other items and well worth a trip out.

I have used South Downs bikes a number of times from buying riding gear to having full bikes built up. They have an Incredibly hard working team. Going above and beyond for me on more than 1 occasion , once before even offering me parts of their personal bike to get me back on the trail. A proper bike shop with real knowledge and understanding of the sport we all love so much. Big thank you to the team.
