Sow Seeds Avis 

Ordered £150 worth of seeds mid July, now..mid September and still no seeds, several emails...a refund here and there £7 and another £8 for out of stock items, each time told it would be a 48hr tracked delivery and still nothing!

We ordered a bunch of seeds back in June and we still haven’t received any of the items, one of the items was out of stock so they sent nothing for 2 months. We then contacted them to ask for a full refund and all we got was £1.95, even though we spent close to a £10. The customer service is terrible, and the service is even worse. If I was you I wouldn’t even think about using this company, it has been the worst customer service I have ever experienced, if I was able to, I wouldn’t have even given it 1 star 😤😞

Has anyone else had a problem with Artichoke Green Globe seeds that turn out to be aubergines? Having cultivated these seeds which I bought this year I was very surprised when they eventually started sprouting purple flowers and certainly I had not mixed up my seed labels as we only had white aubergines otherwise. Complained to company who refunded £1.95 when all I asked for was a pack of the correct seeds. But 'computer said no.' I would have to put in a fresh order where of course the minimum amount is £6 and then the postage cost would outweigh the actual cost of the seeds. But they 'appreciate my understanding!' Another lost customer

Order received but seed packets open and contents mixed. Contacted company via email (apparently a 24 hour response time) and their form on the website. No response at all.
Other packets are also damaged and seeds don't look healthy or good quality.
Avoid the stress.

Ordered 2 weeks ago with promise of next day postage. After a week I asked for the order to be cancelled. They wrote saying it was despatched but I could refuse delivery. Today ,so another week later I have just received a despatch notice. So they lied!!!

I have managed to get a refund through PayPal.

I ordered micro green seeds on 30th and not received them, I've sent numerous emails about my order with no reply and have now had to raise a dispute with my bank to recover my money I spent.

I ordered my seeds 20 days ago, I waited 14 days after the order to enquire which I did twice over the past 6 days. It wasn’t until I called up 20 days later when I had to call up they told me that the reason of the 6 packets of seeds I ordered 1 was now out of stock. It would’ve been very helpful to let me know this and not have me wait the 14 days + having to call up to finally find this out. At least they let me cancel my full order. I have unfortunately missed the season for some of my seeds now so will have to wait til next year to grow them, probably won’t be buying from here though!

AVOID*** Over 3 weeks and no order received and no updates either. Despite multiple calls and emails I still am no further forward and have NOT been refunded and the order cancelled as requested! AVOID

Ordered my order of just under £28 on the 13th June 2026.
Today is the 2nd July and I still haven't received my order or had any replies to my 2 emails asking what is happening regarding this order .
Is this a SCAM site 🤔 or is this company just not engaging with customers and not sending out orders .
There has NOT been any communication from this company to myself regarding this matter .

If you decide to use this company, I recommend using PayPal so you can get an easy refund when your order doesn't arrive. Items not dispatched, emails totally ignored, I would not recommend using this company.

I love this company & have been buying from them for a few years without any issue.

My latest order hasn't arrived. They don't answer emails & it'll be too late to sow soon.

I might have to start looking for another company that's more reliable if my order is awol.

Ordered a week ago for fathers day. Sent 3 emails, filled out a contact form and no one is getting back to me. Never received the purchase. Update - been 3 months and never received and still no response. Opened dispute with bank.

Clear website, easy to find what I wanted - catnip seeds for my feline-loving friends. Low price and prompt delivery - 3 days. Friendly responses to my emails.
Can't ask for more.

Cant comment on viability of the seeds, but can on customer service. Had an incorrect product delivered, and within half an hour of contacting them, a replacement has been arranged. Obviously i'll be back on to revise my review if that doesnt arrive but so far, customer service response/resolution has been very good.

While I had some issues with Royal Mail which delayed the arrival of my order by almost 2 weeks, the team at Sow Seeds was incredibly responsive all throughout, keeping me updated on their communications to Royal Mail and even offering me a refund or a replacement when things weren't looking great. Fortunately, it seems the pressure they put on Royal Mail helped my package finally get delivered to our address and the contents were all as expected. I can't wait to start sowing this weekend!!

Great selection of seeds, especially green manures etc. available in a variety of sizes to suit gardeners with small plots and this’s like me with larger gardens and allotments. My recent order had two 250g packets of different Green manures which weren’t properly sealed and about half spilled out during transport. They replaced them completely with no problem, despite me only expecting half size packets.
Great service as ever.

Update - my order finally did arrive, with only one item missing which was refunded without my having to prompt. I have to say they did answer all my emails. The seeds look good, and look to be plentiful. I am revising my "stars" on the basis that the order was fulfilled - one start lost for the time it took.

Sadly I didn't read the reviews here before I ordered. I sent in an order for almost £100 on 5th April. At least I have had responses to my emails, but first it is one thing out of stock and then another. One email told me it had been dispatched and the next told me something else was out of stock and the delivery should be next week. I remain ever hopeful it will eventually arrive - but I will be unlikely to be a repeat customer even if it does. I truly feel that we should be using small family based businesses - but this shower certainly let the side down. In the meantime the growing season is pressing on.

Order sent to Sow Seeds in last week of March and still no seeds despite phone calls and emails.

I tried to buy a wheelbarrow. After two weeks I was told it was no longer in stock. I’ve been chasing for a long time to get a refund.
