Simplyseed Avis 

Whatever you do, don't buy your seeds from this supplier. Absolute abysmal germination. Just 1 of 24 runner bean seeds germinated. I have written to them but no replies. Go to T&M if you want success

The seeds that arrived have all germinated but the packets were worrying at first they looked a bit battered! (that is why 4*). I had read the reviews and expected the worst but I now have lots of cosmos etc as well as cucumbers and courgettes. I will use the firm again. Much cheaper than many other firms. Seeds are really now very expensive and Simplyseed.co.uk makes them affordable.

Although have used Simply Seed in the past, this year's germination rate has been abysmal, and the few seedlings which appear have been very weak. So much time wasted in waiting for seeds to germinate only to have to replace them, and very poor communication from the company when writing to them to inform them of this. I won't be using Simply Seed again.

I ordered lettuce seeds and they sent me cucumber seeds instead! Despite multiple attempts to contact customer services I have received no reply.

Terrible seeds. Extremely low germination rate , if at all.
Total waste of time and money.

I ordered 2 lots of Cosmos seeds from this company, the germination was appalling. I contacted the company to complain and received no reply. Very bad customer service. Definitely would NOT recommend
Cosmos seeds from other companies came up as they should.

What a joke of a company. Ordered seeds. they took my money straight away. Never received the seed. Emailed twice via 2 different methods, and had no reply at all on both messages. Definitely won't recommend this company.

Clear ordering process and information given when seeds would be delivered. Great germination, quality plants and reasonable prices.

Extremely Poor germination rates of sweet pea seeds, 12 out of 45! Squirrel grass seeds, used half so far with one terminating. This is the first time using simply seeds. Will also be the last. So disappointed.

First time I have used this company and was unsure due to mixed review on TrustPilot. However, my seeds were all delivered fine, on time and they have all (mostly all at the moment) germinated. Would use again. Only suggestion is that the seed packets are huge for the contents so you could make the packets smaller. Many thanks

I have been ordering seeds and onion sets from this company for about 5 years and I'm very happy with both the products and their service. I don't understand why your (trust pilot) overall average of reviews is so low when 78% are 5star. I expect genuine gardeners are too busy in their gardens to leave a review.

Genuinely pretty strong, preliminary to my order but customer service was immensely helpful and the time to dispatch was satisfactorily minimal, the negative reviews loomed over this site so the last thing I expected was any convenience - I was proved pleasantly wrong! Will be using again.

Advise no dealings with this company.

I ordered seeds, which did not arrive.

I put in a duplicate order and used the contact form to say I had had no delivery but was reordering quickly because i needed the seeds. I got no reply to that message.

The second order did not arrive either. I used the contact form several times to complain about this but got no meaningful replies and eventually they simply ignored me.

Rotten customer service. No way to contact them by phone.

I contested the transactions with my credit card company and got my payments refunded

We ordered a bunch of seeds but we haven't heard anything from them in two weeks. They won't reply to any emails or calls either! Avoid them!

Checked on the UK Government Company Search website; they are not there!
Checked address on Google Maps; they are not there either!!!

2 days after paying for my order recieved email asking me to complete my purchsse by paying again after contacting them sorted out quickly but should not happen

Garlic sets delivered were mouldy and un-useable. Ignored all attempts to contact them.

Unusable for me as use DHL to deliver who seem to have a long-standing and widespread issue with deliveries in rural Lincolnshire

They were good enough to repost via Royal Mail after a number of failed deliveries.

Shame they dont use a better postage company or i would probably order more, but found comms to be good and problem which was down to DHL not them was solved

Don’t like leaving poor reviews but they haven't bothered to reply to their website contact form.
Toughball onion seeds, use by year end 2028 (treated seeds that presumably are supposed to stay viable longer?), planted 96 seeds in two trays, all planted at the same time, the same compost and kept together in the same environment/temperatures. 21 growing well and now at the two leaf stage, no sign of any of the other 75. Will not be buying anything from Simplyseeds again.

Each year I get a problem with some of the seeds - this year the mini pop corn was full size and the Candy Stripe Cosmos was not Candy Stripe probably Sonata.
