Delayed
Ordered 14th with anticipated delivery of 17th. I emailed on 20th as it had not arrived, to be advised it was not in stock but expected 21st, delivery would be prompt thereafter.
I feel an email advising delay would have been appropriate, rather than me having to chase. Why advise an anticipated delivery date which clearly cannot be met?

Delivery mess up. …
Delivery instructions were in part ignored. They tried to deliver on a day when I was out and would not leave the order where I had specified.

• You placed an order on Sterlingbuild on the 13th May
• We confirmed your delivery date for the 16th May.
• You called in and spoke Customer services requesting a smaller vehicle for delivery and for the carrier to give you a call. Also to request the order to be delivered later than the confirmed delivery date.
•Customer Services confirmed that the order had already been despatched from VELUX , and the request for a smaller vehicle and phone number to be passed on and this was followed through our our end.
• It appears your order was delivered on the 17th May.
I accept that your order was delivered earlier than the original delivery date on your order confirmation, however I wanted to check that the 1 star review was based on the carrier not following the instructions. Please be assured this is a rare experience and a majority of our customers have a positive delivery experience. please feel free to contact us directly at sales@sterlingbuild.co.uk should you wish to follow op on this. Excellent Customer service from Jamie Fenech, I had a problem ordering online but this was soon rectified. it is nice to know that you can still talk to a human. Delivery was in the time specified with good tracking information. Windows are not fitted yet but I am very pleased with them.

Best roof lantern suppliers you could get! Customer service is impeccable!
From the first time I contacted Sterling Build in June 2023 until today 29 May 2024 I have had nothing but great customer service. The last few emails have been with Dale and his customer service and help have been some of the best I have ever encountered. He replied straightaway, got the help I needed within days and followed up with courtesy emails to check all was fine or with updates.
I have been in customer service all my working life and can only hope that I please my customers as well as Dale did me.
Thankyou so much.
I couldn't recommend a company more for purchasing a roof lantern.

Good service but delivery issues
I bought a Velux Sun Tunnel by telephone, with everything handled by Sabir, who was courteous & efficient. The process was simple (once an issue with VAT was sorted), & the product was delivered this next day. However, & this is why I’ve not given 5*, DHL texted me at 7.45 to tell me they would deliver between 8.07 & 9.07, & if I wasn’t in they’d leave with a neighbour. However, I noticed a cctv alert, & it turned out the delivery was made at 7.35, & the driver just left the package propped against the garage wall after getting no answer. Not Sterlingbuilds fault to be fair but not impressed with DHL.

Simple and Easy
