12 years ago the site was pretty good, with decent writing and some good information on newish tech that was hard to find elsewhere. Over the years, the articles have gotten shorter, the in-depth testing of new tech has gotten more rare and random, the recommendation sometimes leave out very good options (according to a myriad of comments. The mods are one-sided, power-mad, knee-jerk leftists, who allow all sorts of off-topic vitriol posted by TDS-suffering users, but will delete on a whim any response to said comments. In addition to the increasing mediocrity of content, the commentary by the mentally ill makes it a site to avoid.

When I started reading articles 1-2 years ago I thought I found a good site. Slowly things changed to the worst. Some articles are clickbaits with 0 sources to back those claims (latest one was that the Iphone 17 pro will film in 8K). Also the admins are lazy/incompetent. For any comment they don't like you get banned with no explanation. When you get banned that account is done, because there is no way to un-ban it. The only way you can un-ban it is to get an admin to un-ban it but they don't respond to anything. They already banned 2 of my accounts (one of those accounts: Pasulj). It is a horrible site to comment or socialize. I recommend to stick to YT or GamersNexus site. I hope people from TechSpot read this and start doing something. For now avoid the site. The only reason I am giving it a 2/5 stars is because sometimes you find good articles (the ones from hardware unboxed on YT).

Got a great deal on Microsoft Office, older but new enough for my needs. They sent the key in minutes, it was downloaded quickly and activated even quicker. Well done guys, and thanks so much for saving me the monthly fees tech giants crave so much nowadays!!!

pro - Steve and Tim from Hardwareunboxed publish there good reviews/articles .

cons- some authors publish extremely bad articles /advice - as buying 600 buck PC with iGPU only and etc . comments are deleted without any reason . Power efficiency of the products is often neglected or not well tested . Be aware of all this !

Moderation team acts like children. They tend to delete any critical comments that they don't like without warning or communication.

I bought an app that supposedly promised some future but the app doesn't work properly.

I contacted customer service explaining the problem and that I wanted a refund since the application was not working properly and that the app was more like a scam.

Another thing I also contact the owners of the application explaining the problem. But to my surprise is that techspot.com which is part of StackCommerce (stacksocial and the owners of the app do not respond and do not solve anything.

I do not recommend buying anything from techspot.com which is part of StackCommerce (stacksocial), as you will lose your money.

www.techspot was incorrectly identified as the business that caused me grief. The other company has since disappeared (probably to resurface under a new name).
My apologies to www.techspot. Not sure how many stars to give you, but from your polite communications, at least four is appropriate.

I visited this site to install ubuntu iso. It was faster at the beginning but after a few minutes download speed started to slow. When you install something on this site, do not trust download speed at the beginning. It will slow down. I am waiting for 1 hours for 4.7GBs of file. My download speed is ~50Mbps. Bad experience

TechSpot is an outstanding source of up-to-date tech news and insightful articles. The content is well-researched and informative, product reviews are pretty good and overall TechSpot is a must-visit for technology enthusiasts. Highly recommended for staying on the cutting edge of technology trends.

Tech spot code fire Microsoft 360 did not work. I am going to fight this illegal activity by Techspot.

What they sold me did not work on my computer. I contacted Microsoft for service. Microsoft could not get it to work. I was told that I should have ordered from Microsoft and to contact Techspot for a refund. They refused to refund the payment even after sending screenshots where Microsoft said that they should refund my payment. They completely ignored my e-mails.

A reliable source of information on new tech, as well as truly impressive reviews on pc parts and monitors ( hundreds of products reviewed).

Truly Great online magazine for Tech news and in depth product reviews. I always come back to it.

Excellent source for all things involving current technology. I run a tech based store , website and Facebook page....and I frequently use Techspot as a refrence for information for myself and my customers. If this was in magazine format, I would definitely be a subscriber...keep up the good work!!!
