Misleading Advertising on Discount// Lighting of Venue
The discount being advertised was 25%off but it was only 20% off at checkout.
Also, the venue was dark and dingy

First time visit
First time visit, unplanned and a one off. We hadn't book ahead so hedged our bets on securing a lane to which we did after waiting an age for the indifferent staff member to make eye contact, she’d spent the last 20 minutes staring aimlessness at a couple who couldn’t decided what “gift” to secure with their voucher. Eventually we attracted her attention and asked if she’d serve us whilst the other couple mulled over what to choose from the array of sweeties. She asked if we’d booked to which we said no, eyes rolled to the back of her head in disbelief then booked our game, what a miserable soul she appeared to be. On arrival at our chosen lane it was filthy from the previous gamers, plates, cups tissues used cups etc won’t visit again but doubt that matters as it was busy with screaming kids running wild whilst their parents or guardians stared aimlessly into the flicking machines……

Nice evening out
Staff member that served us was friendly, however when checking in for bowling there were 3 staff behind the counter, two of them not paying any attention just standing there whilst we were queuing. Bowling was good but the lane seating area hadn’t been cleaned as there were food and cups left behind & it wasn’t too busy in the bowling area so it definitely should’ve been cleaned. Some machines turned off with no signs to say they weren’t working

Awful...
Awful, adult portion food was the same as a child; burgers were bland, no salad and absolutely tiny. Also, I was given the wrong meal, they took the other one without telling me when I went to ask for help, they passed me around like a yoyo.
By the bowling alley, the tables were loose in the hinges and my sons food fell on the floor. The ground where it wasn't carpeted was disgusting and very sticky.
I wouldn't go to Star City Ten pin again, or recommend it to anyone.

⭐️⭐️ **Very disappointing experience and poor customer service**
We had booked a bowling session online for **3:00 pm**, but despite having a confirmed booking, we were made to wait until around **3:20 pm** before we could start. What was particularly disappointing was the attitude of the front-end staff. There was no apology for the delay. Instead, we were told things such as, *“We can’t help”* and *“We’re not getting paid for that.”* This was extremely unprofessional and not the kind of customer service you would expect.
Unfortunately, the experience did not improve once we started bowling. The **lane table was not cleaned while we were playing**, and the pizza we had ordered was served on a table where there was **trash still left behind**. This was unhygienic and very disappointing.
To make matters worse, our game was **stopped after only around 50 minutes**, even though we had booked and paid for a **full one-hour session**. Considering that we had already lost approximately 20 minutes waiting at the start, this was especially frustrating.
Overall, the experience was poorly managed from start to finish. Delays can happen, but customers should be treated respectfully, tables should be kept clean, food should be served in a clean environment, and customers should receive the full time they have paid for.
I hope management takes this feedback seriously and looks into both the **customer service and the way bookings and cleaning are being managed**. We expected a fun family experience but unfortunately left very disappointed.
