AWFUL VISIT.
I took my 12 year old son and 3 of his friends to Cambridge tenpin as a birthday treat.
There were barely any staff at the bar and reception area, we had pre-booked.
The staff who were there, were very over-worked and were covering the whole of the bowling alley. Huge queues at both. I noted only 3 different staff in the 2 hours we were there.
The toilets were disgustingly filthy with poo. Blocked toilets and no toilet paper.
Two of our party had milk allergies, I made the staff aware whilst trying to order and they said 'We cannot advise on allergens.' So, two of our party had to go without eating. They would have been happy with chips.... the staff member said the same 'We cannot advise on allergens' As you can imagine, this was very disappointing and the children were left hungry as there was no alternatives available for me to purchase for them. Overall a very bad experience for all of us.
**Maybe a goodwill voucher for a better visit will take away some of the disappointment caused??

Ordered some chips and waited for 45 minutes and they never arrived. Had to go and get a refund and the refund took quite a while to go through

Food timing
We had a very enjoyable time overall – the bowling and atmosphere were great.
The only issue was with the food service. It was brought out without checking with us about the timing, and not all guests had arrived yet, so the food went cold while we waited. It would be much better if staff could confirm with the organiser when to serve the food.

Very fun experience and very easy booking!
We had a very good time. The only minor thing is that there were not enough balls for everyone and we ended up sharing a single ball between two persons.

Over all the visit was ok
Over all the visit was ok, staff were helpful and greeting, just the equipment could do with some maintenance. The lane bumpers needed to be switched off by the desk only as the buttons on the screen wouldn't allow us and then went to the pool table after and it was missing 2 balls. As I say when notified the staff immediately came and helped but it put a bit of a tarnish on the visit. Also the soft drinks tasted too much of syrup and not the actual drinks.

We all had a fab time bowling
We all had a fab time bowling.
There wasn't many staff on and we had to wait for sometime at the bar before somebody came.

Staff are slow lazy and not polite
Staff are slow lazy and not polite. Toilets are disgusting and lanes keep failing with bumpers. Food is averagely poor and beer lines are filthy no one wants stinky drinks in dirty glasses

Bad food, lane dirty, staff nowhere to be seen
The lane was dirty, with food bits on the table and seating and floor.
Ordered food as we arrived and finished our bowling game while waiting and then had to wait a further 15mins more after that, a total of 50mins for a hot dog, chicken nuggets and some curly fries. Then, the food came out over cooked with over half of the fries inedible.
The staff were unavailable and hard to find when we had issues on the lane. Resorted to walking down the opposite lane to fit it ourselves as we could not find anyone to help us.

Understaffed venue that could be much better
We prebooked for a two game bowling session. On arrival we were told our session would start late so we went to do Karaoke instead. The touchscreen in the room didn't work, sigh. We then had to wait again to get on our lane because there simply was not enough staff. The guys that were there were doing their best but it was a thankless task for them to keep things moving.

Staff were very helpful
Staff were very helpful. We had a problem with lane 16 the bumpers would not stay up but we enjoyed the game never the least the bumpers were for a 3 year old

My six year old grandson stayed with us…
My six year old grandson stayed with us for a week in the Easter holidays. I had numerous events planned for the week but when I asked him at the end of the week which he enjoy the most, without hesitation he said Tenpin bowling. That says it all for me.

We paid for a game of bowling for 8 of…
We paid for a game of bowling for 8 of us - only to be told 30minutes into the game that the lane was needed for someone else and we would have to leave. Not a great service after paying over £70 - we didn’t pay for a specific timeframe but a game of bowling which we were then told we couldn’t complete. Really poor customer service.

It was fun, a good experience
It was fun, a good experience and the staff were polite and helpful which is very important. Some of the toilets needed cleaning, and we had a 15 or so mins wait for our lane. Otherwise all good.

Poor customer service.
Very poor customer service from the staff. When approached, they were dismissive of any questions or queries.
The food was also delivered late.
The balls were not in great condition, and there were only a few medium-sized ones available. We ended up having to find one that no one was using and share it within the group, as the rest were either too heavy or too small.
On the day we attended, there was only one till with a staff member available to help with queries, so there was always a queue, even just to ask a simple question or request assistance.
