Really well run company, excellent cleaner with attention to detail

Very good communication from cleaning gurus team, and I love my cleaner Nancy!

We were landed with an unreliable and untrustworthy cleaner, supposedly English speaking but only spoke Bulgarian. Seriously let us down by directly disobeying clear instructions when I was in hospital: most likely taking advantage of that fact. On the last occasion she was due, she simply did not turn up but claimed she had told us she would not be coming again after we complained about her to the agency. Who seemed happy to charge for her time with us paying the cleaner directly: seems like a tax scam!?!
This particular cleaner did NOT inform me about what was going on, despite her knowing I should have been informed. We have now discovered that the £20 I paid to her for cleaning materials recently did no result in her purchasing any cleaning materials for us which were sorely needed. That looks very much like theft. Hopefully you will have finished with providing work to that cleaner who has so seriously let us down - and who has apparently let down your company also. When I brought that to your attention, you did not even get back to me on this matter.
Now most outrageously these people have started to accuse me of dishonesty and of registering unfair reviews. Avoid having anything to do with these scammers and apparently thieves as well.
This company claims it is keeping records! Whatever they are keeping is certainly not true or honest records by any means. Of course they are upset when they receive negative reviews, but to respond with lies and subterfuge only worsens the problems now recorded further concerning their disgusting behaviours.
This company seems to be altogether lacking in integrity: they persistently resort to lies and accusations of one kind and another. Would you trust such people or their agents in your home? I would NOT recommend them by any means.
This company is only too right: it is vital to represent your views with honesty throughout. Time for them to follow their own principles and stop making accusations against their unhappy customers.
It is indeed critical that all feedback should represent the facts of the matter: this company seems to expect they can outrageously twist and mess around with the facts willy
nilly.

Overall i have very mixed feelings about cleaning gurus, and ultimately I think their poor performance comes down to their business model more than anything else.

So in terms of organisation from the office (we are in south east London) they have been top notch, they try to be really helpful where possible and highly responsive I really can't fault their ability and speed to respond to our queries. That said great customer service isn't just answering emails, it's providing a great actual service.

The cleaners themselves are somewhat difficult to review positively. The standard of 'cleaning' is honestly great, we can't fault that, every time they really did clean the property to a good standard with good attention to cleaning detail, however we hired cleaning gurus to do airbnb changeovers for us which requires a bit of thinking and instruction following, and this is where they performed poorly. We gave clear instructions every time and these were often ignored. Now if you're just getting a house cleaned for you then this might be okay, but we needed the instructions to be followed so that guests had the correct amount of bedding and towels. We had to get a friend take time out of their day to come to our house to wash bedding as cleaner instructions had been ignored.

The cleaning gurus company themselves need to put together a proper training plan for their cleaners and a decent instruction manual for clients to communicate needs to their cleaners.

Considering the hourly rate that clients pay amounts to a £52,000 salary, taking away 20% for costs (based on a similar business I run) you'd expect them to be able to deliver a service at the level of a £41,000 salary employee. Don't forget that the £25 per hour fee gives them plenty of headroom to pay significantly over the London living wage and double minimum wage whilst taking an appropriate margin for agency fees.

It's important to note though that we don't think we are being unfair in our expectations that the cleaners are able to follow instructions such as "for this clean do not change the beds, these have been done' or 'please strip this bed and do not remake it' as cleaning gurus themselves advertise 'Because our Airbnb cleaning services have been developed specifically with the Airbnb concept in mind, they work in harmony, leaving the property owners to look after other pressing matters.' As the owner of an airbnb your guests should be your primary concern, however we spent considerably more time dealing with the cleaning gurus' mistakes and issues than we did on providing guests with a good experience.

So why is their business model an issue? Cleaning gurus advertise themselves as a service provider, their online marketing says 'Our teams' and 'Our team of professional cleaners will provide a “hotel standard” cleaning service,'. However when talking to the company it really feels like they are simply a middle man doing nothing but passing messages between you and a cleaner that's expected to just know what is required. This is confirmed as you pay a different person each time rather than the company, this would of course be fine if cleaning gurus the company actually added any real value. This hands off approach is what hurts their service.

All in all Cleaning gurus has the potential to be a really good company but their focus on being responsive and telling the client what they want to hear over actually delivering a high quality service is really hurting them, and ultimately their bottom line. You can do better!

Absolutely shocking company. The cleaner failed to turn up and instead of being given notice I found myself blocked by the company. Disgusting company

The cleaner failed to turn up for the second time. Some of the people who work in the office are, without exaggeration, the rudest people you will ever meet. Disgraceful!

Cleaning Gurus Agency LTD delivered an acceptable cleaning service. They managed to arrive on time, but there were some areas that needed reminding, such as cleaning traps and the tops of mirrors. While they didn't come fully equipped, they overall managed to make the place cleaner. Some professionalism could be improved, but they still got the basics done. A solid yet average experience.

Cleaning Gurus Agency LTD provided a very good service when they undertook a 'deep clean' in our building after construction works. They were punctual, organised, and efficient, managing to tackle both surface and ingrained dust effectively, leaving our carpets looking refreshed. While there were a few hiccups like forgetting certain equipment, their dedication to ensuring quality work was evident. The team also showed remarkable attention to detail, and communication with customer service was hassle-free. Overall, it's a reliable and professional company that I would recommend, and I would definitely consider using them again in the future.

Cleaning Gurus under took a 'deep clean' of a suite of rooms in our building following building works which had create a lot of surface as well as ingrained dust in the fabrics and carpets.

Cleaning Gurus were punctual, organised, efficient and very effective.

We would certainly not hesitate to use them again.

Poor job cleaning. Had to be told, for example, to take plug out of basin to clean trap. Failed to clean top of mirrors. Tried to clean high curtains without ladder. Failed to arrive with appropriate equipment. No overshoes

The person I booked with was friendly. The 2 cleaners - mother and daughter - arrived on time which was great. They cleaned the flat but definitely did not perform a deep clean as there were cobwebs on the wall which I unfortunately only noticed after they left.

Whilst inspecting some of the surfaces, they stated that they could not get some surfaces clean which is not what you expect from a professional deep cleaning service. Once they left I went back over with cleaning products from the supermarket and found that the surfaces could easily be cleaned without much effort. I should have done a thorough inspection of what "couldn't" be cleaned thoroughly instead of taking their word as it is clear that they were not good at their job.

They also persisted on increasing the price due to ULEZ despite the booker stating that the price agreed over the phone was the final price.

Highly do not recommend this company as the cleaners do a poor job and add on additional prices last minute.

Used Cleaning Gurus for my end of tenancy clean inc carpets. Punctual, great comms and the cleaning itself was first class. Highly recommend!

The second visit to my mum was very successful , a very good job tiles taps ect . My mum who is elderly , even though the cleaner didn’t speak English . If we need another clean we would ask for her . Thankyou very much 😊

They arrived early, 3 cleaners, no English. I had several calls asking for more money or they would not continue. The free carpet clean was not great skid marks on stairs of dirty water, stains not removed. I paid 70 pounds extra for two skylight windows to be cleaned. I had to remind them of that and the balcony clean and top of wardrobes clean. Frankly it was a nightmare. They finished late so my new tenant had to wait outside for half an hr. Then they demanded payment asap so then I had to do that before dealing with my new tenant. This in a tiny unfurnished one bed not dirty just dusty house. They wanted 30 pounds extra to remove three paint pots from under the stairs before they would clean it. I felt stressed all the way through. Would NOT use them again. The cleaners were nice people, I felt sorry for them as they were not fully told what to do prior. Keep away from this firm. They didn't seem to think that a clean included behind the fridge, behind the wc,on top of fitted wardrobe and shelving. They had not even cleaned the patio roof area when I was told by the boss that they had finished. I could do a better job then that myself with no stress and in a timely fashion. There is no way they eould do extra work without asking for more money, so that rating is incomprehensible to me.

This cleaning company is amazing , they did even extra work outside my house in the front porch , I highly recommend them ,on time hard working attention to details , my rugs looked like new .
