The site is still amateurish.
Firstly, most of the reviews here are positive in respect of customer service- which I agree with- any time I have contact with any advisor they have been very friendly and professional.
However, my issues are with the constant problems with the site itself.
I only play the Goal Rush game now due to the deletion of the monthly leaderboards- but putting entries on is an extremely laborious process. Not so long ago you could just pay money into your pools account and choose your lines and it could be done and dusted in 5 minutes flat- and winnings would be paid back into your pools account.
Not so nowadays- it took me 4 attempts to pay in 2 x £10 to my account- saying payment is declined every time- even though 2 attempts eventually worked- and then my 10 Goal Rush lines were automatically picked and you have to change them to your own numbers- which is a pain in itself- but changing them to my own numbers took over half an hour due to messages constantly coming up with 'no lines found' and 'contact customer service' - constant refreshing of the screen eventually sorts out the issue but to take around 40 minutes in total from depositing funds to altering lines for 10 entries is simply a joke in 2026- I've never known a gambling site to go downhill as much in the last couple of years. Why can't the site be fixed to what it used to be like - its not asking much surely to just have a hassle free deposit system and pick your own lines from scratch- it's completely uneccesary for the site to operate in its current format.

Had a great experience with The Pools. I qualified for their Bet £10 Get £20 offer and everything worked as expected. I initially couldn’t find the free bets, but support responded quickly and clearly explained where they were in the bet slip.
Once I followed their instructions, the free bets were there and ready to use. Smooth process overall and helpful customer service when needed. 👍
Would recommend for anyone starting out with their welcome offer.

My pools win
What a lovely surprise to get a call telling me I had won. I thought it was a scam at first but soon realised it wasn’t. To say I was gobsmacked is an understatement. Money was paid straight in to my account within a few days so it was straight off to the travel agent to book a trip for my 25th wedding anniversary next year. Then the lovely Jess called me to congratulate me and offered to take me and my husband out for a celebratory meal. Jess was lovely and it was great meeting her and seeing how they are trying to raise their profile after many years. The Pools is a British institution that has been going for a long time and I have special memories of filling in the coupon with my Dad who was an agent for them. Long may they continue to bring joy to many lucky people 🥰
