Did route 66 13-29th September 2026 Jay our Tour Rep and Clyde our driver gave us an amazing tour which was fantastic and just shame went so fast. Well recommended for anyone going.

From start to finish this was a most wonderfully enjoyable experience. Both the tour guide and the driver were top men and both contributed enormously to the enjoyment of our trip. The tour guide in particular (Jay Schmidt) was exceptional. His organisational skills, patience and attention to detail were first class. The driver (Clyde) made the whole journey a thoroughly enjoyable experience. His driving skills were truly amazing. My wife and I felt totally safe front start to finish. But more than that both men, in our opinion, went well beyond their brief in a number of ways, and on many occasions throughout the trip. Top, top men - both of them.

We were picked up and dropped off at the door by taxi. Went to the Rocky Mountains in Canada. 10 days visited so many places more than we remember being told about. The organisation was perfect, we were looked after from start to finish. Carol our tour manager answered all questions, gave us information about things to do in our spare time ,took us to all the extras we picked as optionals. Timings were all perfect.Rocky Mountaineer

Great week away on Titan's Sicilian Escape - lovely hotel, food and day trips. All went wrong when flight home was cancelled, with a two day travel delay. After six-hour standing at the airport we were transferred to the most appalling accommodation. To add insult to injury they didn't even seem to know we were coming. After many phone calls to Titan, and after long delays for responses, we were moved to a better hotel for the second night. With an early checkout the next morning we had to wait until 4pm for Titan to advise on the pick-up for our rescheduled flight.
There was no sign of our Tour Rep once we left the airport after the cancelled flight although he was in the next door hotel. We felt poorly supported by Titan when things got difficult.

Clear advice and simple procedure

Our booking agent, Kay, was very helpful, informative and patient and was able to answer / clarify all the questions we had to the extent that we booked a holiday through her.

We went on Titan’s Albania and North Macedonia tour in late August/early September when the temperature often reached 38c. The flight with BA was uneventful and getting into Albania was quick and easy with no queue and just a scan of the passport and a photo. Why can’t the EU do this? We were met by our tour manager Chris who turned out to be a bit unconventional and joking a lot, but well organised, concerned and compassionate. Excellent. He showed us where the ATM and money exchange were. Our group size was 36 and turned out to be the best group we have travelled with. No moaners, pleasant people and everyone on time.
The Hilton Garden Inn in Tirana had good sized rooms, a kettle provided and two bottles of water were supplied each day. Breakfast was ok, but the evening meal lacked choice and was bland. Behind the hotel were bars, restaurants, a pizza place and a supermarket. The hotel was about 2 miles from the centre. There was an ironing board in the room, a safe and WiFi. There is one free washing machine and dryer on floor 6.
We were taken out for two meals. The first had lots of small dishes, but the two mains weren’t good. One was pieces of bone with a bit of meat attached and the second was inedible chicken. It looked like a gizzard. The other meal out was a bit better.
We felt very safe in Tirana and it has a modern Mediterranean cafe culture feel.
We went on the optional tour to Schkroda which was good. The tours to Berat and Kruja involved a steep climb on slippery, polished cobbles in the heat. Titan does warn that this tour is for the more active participant. The views at the top are worth it. Albania has beautiful mountain scenery. Not all the seat belts on the Albanian coach worked, but it was reasonably comfortable.
The journey from Albania to North Macedonia was beautiful and Chris took care of the border formalities.
The Tino Sven Stefan hotel is set on a lake about 2 miles outside Ohrid. There is a steep slope and steps up to it, but our luggage was taken care of for us. Some people had lake view rooms, but we had one ar the back which we didn’t mind as it was in the shade and had a large balcony. Water was provided daily and there was a safe, kettle and WiFi. Some people didn’t like the hotel, but we didn’t mind. It looks as if Titan are changing it some time next year. The food was an improvement on the Tirana Hilton. It’s a reasonable hotel but not luxury. There’s not much space to sit in public areas. There’s an outdoor and indoor pool.
Across the main road is a pebble beach with bars and a small supermarket. Two large beers at the first bar cost the equivalent of £5. Most places in Albania and Macedonia took a credit card, so local currency was only needed for small things like souvenirs.
Ohrid is a lovely lakeside town, but again a climb up to the amphitheater. At a lakeside restaurant we had two large pizzas and 2 large beers for £20. Good value.
Skopje is a lovely capital, 3 1/2 hours on the coach through mountain and lake scenery.
The boat trip to St Naum Monastery is beautiful, but the boat wouldn’t be allowed in UK. It was very sturdy and felt safe, but the chairs on the top deck were just free standing metal garden chairs. In a panic they would be overturned. Also we couldn’t see ant life jackets and there was no safety briefing. Is Titan aware of this?
The other coach trip through the national park was spectacular and had beautiful monasteries.
Our last meal out was very good with our starter and dessert matched to our choice of main.
All in all we enjoyed it, being made by our tour manager Chris, the group and the scenery. Just a few negative issues.

Went on the Grand Tour of Italy, 2025. We were taken to places we never knew existed, as well as famous tourist cities such as Venice, Florence, Rome & a few others. Although we’d been to most of the very famous cities before, we found the local guides very useful and interesting. At times we found the regimented routine tiring but appreciated their necessity. Our tour manager ‘Mo’ was very good and dealt with any issues very efficiently and effectively. We finally visited Pompéi after over 45 years, we were delighted of course. Must add that although we visited great cities, we also visited some minor and not so special places too, we would never have visited those, if we had done the tour by ourselves. A massive bonus was the excellent pick up and drop off service.

Booking our holiday was very easy over the phone. Would normally done this online but we were booking for 4 people so we had to call Titan. The Titan operative was very good and very sociable. All in all a pleasurable experience.

Titan ABANDONED us after the recent issue at Heathrow caused airlines to cancel flights. We’d had a good tour of Tuscany but 6 of us were left stranded at Pisa airport. I did manage to speak to Titan’s Duty Officer who said he’d get back to me but never did. It was up to me to find accommodation for 2 nights and secure flights- not back to Bristol ( there were none for nearly a week) but to Luton! I contacted our tour manager to ask her to arrange transport home from Luton, which she did- but Titan NEVER OFFERED any help themselves. We will never travel with them again and would not recommend them- this was our first experience of Titan. Very disappointing.

The person who helped me was very helpful, and very efficient. The whole holiday booking was completed by phone.

Something I hadn't experienced before was having to give details such as my passport number by using my phone keypad, clearly explained to me.

We requested a brochure which arrived very quickly. We emailed a question about transfers which was dealt with promptly by Amanda. It was very easy to book our holiday online. This is our first holiday with Titan so off to a good start.

Our travel representative Michaela was very friendly and helpful. She answered all our enquiries competently and made the booking process very easy. It is so important to feel confident that your requirements are being understood and taken care of - we certainly found this to be the case.

We have just returned from our holiday in the Balkans which was extremely well organised by the team here and by Chris our fabulous Macedonian Tour Manager - he was a great guy who was always willing to go that extra mile for us. My only gripe was with the accommodation provided for us in Macedonia which fell below Titan’s usual standard.I note they are using a different hotel next year

This was a very good trip made excellent by our tour guide Alex. He was professional knowledgeable, humorous informative and also very supportive. My fellow travel companion needed to go to A&E and Alex was brilliant, he also showed daily concern for my friend.
I also appreciated the daily informative updates from the WhatsApp group.
The hotels were of a good standard. The itinerary was brilliant. I would recommend this trip to others.
