TravelTime Travel Insurance Avis 

You only find out how good travel insurance is, when you need to make a claim. We cancelled our holiday due to illness, and found Travel time excellent. They quickly resolved our claim in full, with a minimum of hassle. I would recommend them without reservation.

Have used TravelTime Travel Insurance on a few occasions and the process is very straight forward, if you call the office the staff are very polite and extremely helpful. I would recommend TravelTime to all.

Taking out the insurance policy was very easy as the staff were very polite and helpful explaining each policy terms as there were medical conditions involved with our party.

Very pleased with TravelTime. I've used them 2 years running for cruise insurance. I had a claim for a missed port of call in the first year of insurance which was paid promptly and without fuss. I was perhaps expecting the following year's cover to include a "penalty" because of the previous claim but absolutely not the case. Same great cover at a reasonable price!

Bought an annual policy, thankfully not needed to use, but the security and peace of mind of having this on our trips abroad this year has been great. Policy covered all our needs including a Pre Condition that was covered without issue.

I certainly recommend TravelTime for Travel Insurance and will renew for the coming year when due.

We have used TravelTime insurance for our bi-annual holidays for a couple of years. I thoroughly endorse this company as their policies are very competitively priced and the insurance covers most if not all eventualities.
The policies are clear and concise and easy to interpret.
Furthermore the customer service team are very helpful
and responsive. Highly recommended.

So far no problems easy to arrange. Love the daily messages which are amusing and informative

Do not get travel insurance with this company! Our son contracted impetigo on holiday and the doctor advised and gave us evidence that he must not go to the pool / communal areas. This is definitely a travel insurance claim but of course they found a way to get out of paying!
Avoid at all costs!! You will not be covered!

We had had Traveltime for last 3 years and they were amazing when husband fell I’ll in Greece only had to pay excess and the company rang me constantly making sure I was ok he was treated in a private hospital too

9 months later we were at airport due to fly out next morn when husband fell I’ll was taken to Nottingham hospital and we were fully refunded by travel time

Cannot fault the service and English speaking too

Niece broke her arm on holiday, couldn't claim anything at all , waste of time

Have used a couple of times but the first time i have made a claim their claims handling company are useless as they don't answer their phone so wont use again.
A further few weeks has gone by and a claim they agreed to still has not been paid, nobody answers the phone. Eventually the managing director got involved and the claim has finally been paid.

Submitted a claim by email on 22nd January, and got automatic response. Phone again 2 weeks later to be told could take up to 6 weeks, but should be sooner.
Called again today, on phone for a total of 43 minutes, to be told something along the lines that it had been overlooked. It was sent to the claims department being marked as priority. I could really do with my money back.
We shall see.
Renewal due soon, no chance of going with them again.
Like other posters you have to contact another company, but they are brokers and I understand that.

This insurance company is very very Dodgy. First of all, they ask you to submit the claim to some other third party company called csal.co.uk. After having submitted, all my info including my tickets, my travel accommodation details , my insurance policy and even my bank details.. they didn't respond for 4 days , when I called them and finally got through to their customer service, they said they will take upto 31 working days to respond. I don't think insurance works this way. Thankfully mine is not a medical emergency, if I had a medical emergency and they responded this way I would be doomed. They seem to have a lot of fake good reviews on reviews.co.uk and they proudly advertise that on their website. I don't know how this company is FCA regulated. They seem like sham company to me. My claim is still under processing but I have already lost hopes with this sham company.

Unlike other recent reviews, I have no complaints at all.
I had to cancel at very short notice due to illness and my claim was paid in full. It took some time, but I was warned that it would and there was an excess to write off but we knew that when we took out the policy.
All in all, very happy with the service and would use them again without hesitation.

I wish I had read these Trustpilot reviews before taking out a policy with these cowboys. I had to cancel a trip because of a family emergency. I was able to get most of cost of trip back because of the very understanding travel agency, but my flights were paid for separately. I was only needing to be recompensed for cancelled flights. They never even acknowledged my claim. I was too busy dealing with family crisis to follow up until some time later and they have failed to communicate with me. They should not be allowed to operate. Their business is a sham. I think they possibly trade off the good reviews of another company with a similar name although I cannot be sure. It is inexplicable and very disappointing.

Diabolical Excuse of a Company! Complete Rip Off Firm. After almost two months of waiting this Shower of Cowboys have eventually sent me a quarter of what I was expecting. No Breakdown of how this Disgusting Figure was reached. I stupidly took out full insurance which has not been reimbursed. The day before my Family & I were due to travel I was rushed into hospital with Kidney Stones & told by the Consultant there is no way I will be able to travel. The villa I had booked was £1220 on its own. The car hire was £560. Never mind the flights & parking never mind the cost of this Insurance. I have received just over £600. This is a loss of just short of £2000. Spoke to someone after another massive wait on the phone who could not understand how this was worked out Either. He said all he could do was resubmit this back to the Underwriters. Another wait of at least 6 weeks.
I feel sick about this dreadful underhand service. This is what you take insurance out for.

Our flight was cancelled 5 weeks before we were due to go on holiday,I informed Travel Time which took ages to reply,eventually i had a refund into my account,but,i only received 70%of the amount i paid for the policy,will never use them again,"DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY"
they told me because i had cancelled flight i will loose 30% of payment,but the airline cancelled the flight,but,to them it was me that cancelled.

Terrible service. I had to claim on a skiing accident. The telephone no. to contact them was out of service for the 4 months that I was trying to talk to them. If I emailed them I got an automated reply. I eventually got to send all my documents off by post which they say they have no record of receiving, I was asked to resubmit which I can't do as I did not make copies (my mistake). Now hundreds of pounds down. Meanwhile I get an email everyday advertising their services.

Terrible service, when my flight was delayed over 12 hours I expected a claim to be a straight forward process. They fob you off to CSAL who are impossible to speak to and are it seems employed just to avoid a pay-out.
When you try to speak to TravelTime Insurance they are also uncontactable unless you're speaking to sales who can neither help or put you through to claims.
