Money grabbing.
U Drive charged extortianate costs for minor cosmetic damage. A third party provided the engineers report, I understand this, however they wouldn't accept alternative reports and made it exceptionally difficult to get an other opinions on the level of damage. You are forced to accept their costs.
Individuals in the branch submitted photos which misrepresented the level of damage and made the pictures presented for the damage report worse than they were. They also only submited two photos. So I'm unsure how you can really understand the level of damage from such limited evidence.
The damage costs charged conviently matched the excess amount.
They vebally confirmed that the damage caused wasn't even going to be repaired. They show no interest in providing a mutual outcome, one which covers the appropriate costs whilst also minimising costs to the customer. This is an extension of a money making opportunity and chance to grab more cash from the customer. The credit team were unreasonable and rude in their tone of voice. You've lost a repeat customer.

Disgusting customer service
Disgusting customer service. Booked a Luton payment taken then they emailed to say couldn't do it. Agreed to take a LWB extra large van. Arrived at site and 2 Luton were there? Went inside and rude girl who didn't have an ounce of customer care skills booked into a MWB and said it was a large. Said would refund some of money that was paid for Luton as LWB was cheaper I explained needed the van. Showed her online check that stated the van was WMB and she just walked off. When returned van was told nothing they could do at least we got a van!! Do not use Southampton site

Due to no Luton vans being available, our team contacted you to offer an alternative, which was accepted. We also acknowledged your concerns on return and applied a discount as a gesture of goodwill.

All the guys were both helpful, friendly, and most of all flexible in assisting my situation, which changed from day to day! It was easy to book, arrange pick-up and drop-off with no delay when I needed to add a day or two to contract!

Renting vans for work
We’ve been renting vans for our business for a while now and we have always been well looked after. Our requests are often last minute which can be tricky, however we haven’t ever felt like we are a pain.
The team at Southampton are always willing to help, put you at ease and efficient.
We’ve dealt with Lauren the most across the past year and she’s always on top form. Thanks Lauren, you’re a real credit to your team! They best get the biscuits in for you for this review…. The least they could do :)

Easy moving!
Hired a van for house move. Served by Ty. I found the whole experience easy and Ty and the team that day were extremely friendly and personable. Thanks to Ty, the admin side of the van (boring!) was made very easy and bearable. For that thank you very much.
Pricing is fair, and the 24hr key drop off makes it very helpful in an already stressful time.

Excellent experience - sorted us out with a vehicle at the last minute during an extremely busy home buying/selling period. Lauren was the point of contact at the desk and was friendly, engaging and helpful. Everything was very clearly explained, quick and professional.

All sound, highly recommended
First line of contact is excellent, flawless attention at desk, all clearly explained and very transparent in policies of damage and insuring waivers. The company has very strict procedures in vehicle checks and inspection of pre-existing damage to protect both customer and company. Vehicles can't be faulted and the prices are more than reasonable. Definitely repeat if needed again.
