What can I say, apart from Ben Craven and his Team are outstanding at what they do and they service is second to none and I cannot recommend them enough. I have been a tenant with them for a number of years and no issue is too big or too small and they handle all requests with the highest level of professionalism and really work on behalf of their tenants and do the best by them, which is so rare in this day and age. They have been a real pleasure to deal with, again which is unheard of in this day and age and if you are lucky enough to have them as your Property Management Team then you will be given 1st class and hassle free service every time. You will not regret renting a property from them and the value they add to the renting experience is priceless and I cannot recommend Ben Craven and his team enough.

We dealt with Suzie and Chris from Umega as our letting agent and they were absolutely fantastic. Responsive, knowledgeable and kept us posted on each stage of the rental and getting the flat ready to be leased out to finding the right tenant. I no longer rent with Umega, and I'm doing this under my alternative (non-Chinese) name because I may need a reference and don't want reprisals.

As an agency, they are incredibly frustrating. Incredibly fast at raising the rent the second it's allowable (to the day), and proactive about inspections, but trying to get ANY other sort of response from them for anything is like trying to catch the wind.

You'll send them an email and, if you're lucky, they'll tell you they're looking into it. Weeks will pass with nothing. You'll send some chasers, which will be ignored. It then effectively becomes a waiting game, as to whether you have the patience to keep asking, or just give up (which I'm sure is their preference).

I let a lot of minor issues and things slide because of this, but in the end they mounted up and I just couldn't be bothered anymore. I'm now renting directly via a private landlord and the difference is palpable; Umega just came across like they only cared about getting their cut, which is sadly a common experience across most rental agencies in the city.

In my opinion Umega Lettings & Estate Agents are brilliant if you need professional, reliable management of your rental property.

They are always available for advice and assistance, and I am reassured that they look after my property and my tenant.

They also offer very interesting updates regarding the rental and sales property market.

I recently became a non-resident landlord, and Liam gave me great advice and assistance with my tax situation.

I would also like to mention Naidene and Kirsten, as they have been so helpful with other matters relating to my property in Edinburgh.

Try to call Umega, 25 mns wait (No 2 in the queue!) No one picks up. One wonders what the rest of their service must be like.

After been let down by our previous property manager, we were absolutely delighted in making the move to Umega.

Led my Suzie, we had nothing but positives throughout. She offered advice on small improvements which she then organized, and the work was done at a very high standard at a fair price.

Umega managed the letting of our flat for a number of years and we were very pleased with the service and responsiveness, especially as we had by that stage little contact in Edinburgh. They were particularly helpful with organising repairs which can be challenging. When we subsequently decided to sell the flat we chose them as our selling agents. The liaison between the letting department and the sales department was very good so that when we had a major water leak just as the sale process started their letting department handled the repair very effectively to get the flat ready for the sales department. The sale was handled very efficiently and we appreciated the company's flexibility and ability to handle our personal requirements. We were particularly pleased with the level of communication with us by Daniel of their sales team. We were fortunate that Umega found a buyer very quickly and introduced us to solicitors who were responsive and ensured that the sale was completed without issue or delay.

We signed up with Umega lettings last October to fully manage our apartment in Edinburgh. Right from the start they have been absolutely brilliant, dealing with every little problem right down to the last detail. Most recently we were assigned a new property manager, Courtney Hazlett and just as with all our previous experiences with Umega she’s a wee gem. Nothing is too much trouble for her, replies almost immediately to emails and phone calls and keeps you fully up to speed about any ongoing problems. Keep it up guys, well done.
