Horrible bunch is all i have to say. Don't spend your hard earned money on V12. There are many other used car places to buy from that will give better service. Be warned.

What I liked is how I was left to have a browse around without being pestered. When I saw the car I was interested they were very approachable. I told them the cars I was looking at and they were instant available to test drive. Sophie who I dealt with was very friendly and helpful and answered any questions I had. Handover process was very quick and smooth. After about 3 hours I was driving away in my new car. All in all it was a very pleasant experience.

In late May 2026 I purchased a used Vauxhall Mokka Electric from V12’s Worksop branch, after travelling on two separate occasions to view the car, agree a part-exchange, and complete the deal.
The car had been advertised on V12’s own website with two specific features — a powered driver’s lumbar support and massage seat, and a wireless phone charger — neither of which is actually fitted to the vehicle. I identified the discrepancy at the test drive and raised it with the salesperson at the time. The duty manager refused to adjust the price, dismissing it as “just a mistake on the website.”
The transaction itself ran around two hours past my appointment time, due to repeated pressure to purchase various add-on after-sales products I had clearly declined at the outset. The salesperson was sent back to the desk multiple times with revised counter-offers, on her manager’s instruction, even after she had communicated my refusal back to him. I eventually agreed to the cheapest of the add-ons purely to bring the session to a close, well after the branch had closed.
The handover itself was also poor. The vehicle had not been charged as expressly promised earlier that day. I was not given the V5C registration document, nor any written record of the change-of-keeper process, and still no proof to date. The following day I checked DVLA records and found the vehicle showing as untaxed, despite my having paid £110 for six months’ tax at handover. DVLA initially had no record of any payment. The matter was eventually resolved, but only after I had identified it and chased it myself.
I submitted a formal written complaint to V12’s head office shortly after the purchase, setting out the issues in detail and asking for a reasonable resolution within 14 days. To date — three days past that deadline and 17 days since the complaint was lodged — I have received only an initial acknowledgment from an after-sales representative. No member of management has engaged with the substance of the complaint at all.
If you are considering a purchase from V12, scrutinise the advertised specification carefully against what is actually delivered, get all key commitments in writing before signing, and be prepared for considerable pressure to buy products you have already declined.
UPDATE — 16 June 2026 (rating reduced from 2 stars to 1):
Following V12's continued failure to engage substantively with my formal complaint, despite multiple chases and a clear final deadline of 15 June 2026, I have today referred the matter to Trading Standards via the Citizens Advice consumer service. A formal complaint will be lodged with The Motor Ombudsman — to whose Motor Industry Code of Practice V12 is a signatory — at the end of the standard eight-week complaint window, or sooner if V12 issue a final response or deadlock letter before then. V12 have now had 25 days to respond substantively. The only contact I have received in that period has been two short acknowledgments from the same after-sales representative; no member of V12's complaints department or management has engaged with the substance of the complaint at all.

Would not use this company again, once you leave with the car anything that goes wrong is down to the warranty people and that is not all they make it out yo be

Thank you for the straightforward approach & I will visit again in the future. I would highly recommend the garage to others looking to upgrade their car, thank you. John S

The salesperson makes promises, but in practice, they are just excuses as mentioned in yesterday's email from V12.
At the time of purchase, the salesperson says: the car has everything, service history and safety items checked at the workshop.
At the time of delivery: no fuel, maybe half a liter or less of gasoline, I arrived at the gas station with the car misfiring. No spare key and service history, omitted at the time of sale, and when I questioned this, the salesperson said, the service record is online, don't worry about it. No wheel repair kit, if I had a flat tire, I would be in trouble. Worse, no coded key to remove the wheel bolt. The car had some scratches, the salesperson said, don't worry, the workshop will fix that, nothing was repaired.
Not to mention the hidden information in the financing. My recommendation, if you are looking for a serious, professional company without lies, look elsewhere because my experience with V12 was terrible.
The salesperson omitted information and V12 supports this, leaving the customer with the problem.
For me now, the only option left is to go to Small Court.

I rarely write reviews, but what this dealership did to my family cannot go unsaid.
Last Sunday, we visited V12 Sports & Classics as a family — my elderly parent and my 2-year-old child came along, as this was a big family decision. Their salesperson Sophie offered us a 5-day reservation in exchange for £300 in fees.
We trusted them and agreed.
When I called back on Wednesday 3rd June — still within our agreed reservation window — I was told the car had already been sold to another customer. No warning call. No email. Nothing.
We have since raised a formal written complaint with V12 Sports & Classics, citing breach of contract — and we are still awaiting any response whatsoever.
Our £300 remains unrefunded.
This company accepted our money, broke their promise, and has so far failed to even acknowledge our formal complaint. You have been warned.

I recently purchased a van here. While the staff were initially friendly, their hospitality completely vanished the moment they realized I wanted to buy the vehicle outright and would not agree to their upsells.
What followed was an exhausting, two-hour ordeal:
Hidden Fees & Nonsense Scare Tactics: The van was advertised with no extra charges, yet I was told I had to pay an extra £180 for a "mandatory" warranty. When I brought up my legal rights, staff used complete nonsense scare tactics to dismiss the Consumer Rights Act.
Relentless Pressure: I spent 30 minutes repeating that I did not want finance, trackers, or extras. They completely ignored my boundaries. I explicitly told them at least three times that they were upsetting me, but they kept pushing until I was visibly distressed.
Even After Payment: The pressure didn't stop once the money changed hands. While waiting in the office to sign the final contract and receive the V5 slip, I was asked again about buying the warranty.
This was an onslaught of negativity simply because they couldn't make extra profit off me. I am incredibly disappointed by this mistreatment and would advise future buyers to stay away.

The worst diabolical experience ever. The salesman did a disappearing act, avoiding eye contact when we found him and then hid out back leaving us for over an hour. We had already paid the £99 to reserve the car. After 2.5 hours we were told the car couldn’t be found, then told it was found but the keys were missing. We asked to see another Mercedes and he hid again!
In hindsight we avoided the worst car buying experience, but we are still fighting for our £99 !!!!!
If possible avoid this garage

Spent nearly £10k on a car from this garage and it’s been one of the worst buying experiences I’ve had.
From day one the car needed work. The front tyres were heavily worn and close to illegal, the A/C doesn’t work, and despite being told the car had “full service history” there is a missing service record.
Before buying, I specifically asked what would happen if there were issues and was assured by the salesperson that I could bring the car back and they would sort anything out. Once the problems were raised, I was then told: “All our cars are sold as seen” and that the warranty only covers mechanical issues, not “wear and tear.”
Conveniently, almost everything the car needs apparently falls into that category.
I have evidence of the condition of the tyres and the conversations that took place. Looking back, I feel the reviews online gave a very misleading impression of the business.
Buyer beware if you do buy from here, I’d strongly recommend using finance rather than paying outright, as you may have more protection if things go wrong.

V12 at Worksop probably the worst customer service I’ve ever had from a used car company. They took a deposit for a car that we had agreed to buy and my wife went to collect a few days later. After been spoken to by Kelton who initially was polite in his defence. However he had made up a story on saying that the car wouldn’t charge and that they had made a decision to send it back to auction. No attempt was made by himself or anyone else from V12 to contact my wife to say that this was the case.
After checking the Government website it appears that the car had not been sent but been sold to another customer as the car had been taxed. Still waiting for the refund!
