Deceptive Trade Practices/returns
Like several of the other posters here I returned items to Woman Within.
Problem 1. I was told they gave me a credit I could use to buy other things from them. There was no mention that returns would be a store credit, not a refund!
Problem 2. Then, to access this credit I had to call in and ask for it.
Problem 3. They did not mention that the credit was only good for 90 days.
I only found out the rules after the credit has disappeared from their records at 90 days.
Deceptive trade practices are actually illegal. They get away with this nonsense because it isn't worth hiring an attorney to sue them.
My mother died and they wouldnt cooperate with orders delivered the day after her passing
My mother died, I tried to return some items that came in the mail the day after she died. It was impossible to contact them, every number on their website was disconnected or rang some random other person/company. Impossible to lodge a return online as it wouldnt accept her zipcode. Do NOT purchase from this company... total scam!
It ought to be a crime
If my mother would agree to shop anyplace else I wouldn't have to deal with this horrible company. But there's not a lot of places to find size 6x so for now I'm stuck. I have been managing her affairs for 4 years now, so this review is based on long experience.
1. They will fill your mailbox with a thousand other companies' catalogs, and there's nothing you can do to stop them. It's like a part-time job calling the other catalogs one-by-one to get removed from the mailing list, but if you don't the number of catalogs that start showing up will keep growing (she was getting 50+ a month when I took over her affairs). I do not order anything from any other catalogs, and they come addressed to mom so I know it's WW giving out this mailing address.
2. Their clothes are cheap fabric and they cost a fortune. They don't last more than a few washings at mom's nursing home.
3. They charge astronomical shipping on top of the expensive clothes.
4. Frequently items are on back-order and show up weeks and months later. This is not disclosed at the time the order is placed.
As an example, last week Mom wanted a dress for her birthday party that's just made out of t-shirt material. It would have come to $90 total, and there's no telling when it would actually show up so we didn't place the order. Do not get involved with these people!
Beware Shipping Costs
I used to be a regular customer; half the clothes in my closet are from WW. Unfortunately, they've gone downhill. I started an order recently and then abandoned the cart when I saw the shipping charges. Yikes! Sale prices were nullified by the shipping. As for sales, most of the items I wanted wouldn't ship for months, and the promotional price would not apply. Buh-Bye!

Am I the only one that after I pay my bill in full on the date it's due gets a $2 service fee the next month? It happens with women within, brylane, jessica london, roamans. Then I need to call to have them take it off. Is it a ploy to get more money? One time the customer service person I was talking to said that it is added after due date. If so, the bill was paid off, why did you add it? I don't even look at their catalogs anymore, I am so over ordering from them.

They sent package to me and it was delivered to the wrong address 2 months ago. Place where it went sent it back to them.
When I finally chatted to find out what happened I asked for a refund. They will not issue one unless I fill out an affidavit. My refund is for $77.43 and the affidavit only covers purchases over $200.

I have been a long time customer
I have been a long time customer; however, I just ordered for the last time. The clothing used to be quality. Now it's just junk material. I returned two items through the "Happy Returns" program. Flimsy material in the pants and a stain on the front of a white shirt. It is difficult to track an order when the company doesn't even keep your order history online. Even Shein and Temu do better than Woman Within.

I purchased some clothing for this summer spending over $200. I needed to return 4 items and called customer service for some help. The person I spoke with was nice however, he informed me that by me returning these items there would be a restocking fee of $10.99. Then he proceeded to ask did I still want to return them? As appalled as I was, of course I want to return the clothes they don't fit properly. If I had known this was their policy before ordering from them, I would never have placed an order. Now that I do know, I will never order from them again.

Customer Service rep spoke spotty English and could not answer direct questions. Could only repeat line for line the script.
Tried to tell me that I had to accept a gift card instead of a refund. Then told me if I got a refund, over $10 would be deducted from it.
Because Woman Within is penalizing me for trying to exchange the shoes for a half size smaller, I am reluctantly keeping the shoes that are a half size too big.

Extremely poor return policy. Also pat answers but little action when returning items for credit. I believe they make it so difficult to return items but delays and no follow-up that they hope you will just give up. Definitely will not order again once I finally get this credit (that I hope to get) spent.

One item was a posture bra. It was inferior in all descriptions. The first is that is not a posture bra. It is crap. It's made in China. The return policy is a scam. The other items shrink the first time washed. This used to be a good company and now it is the "New York Subway Sewer System" of companies Boycott this company. Doubled the shipping after I ordered
Doubled the shipping after I ordered, shipping was 8.95 when I ordered, checking on progress of my order, the shipping is now over 20 dollars with no notification, charges your account. Last year and I haven't ordered since until now, took 2 months 30. Pmts and the account was paid off, took 3 months or longer, they sent me 13 dollars, they owed 60. This company needs consequences to ripping people off. It's hard to get your point across to a computer.

Nothing is what is listed. Sale $10.97 price, on print or color and only one size. Then price jumps to $34.99 lowest of many higher. In the past I purchased so much and not even looking anymore. Looking at a catalog received today and when online to purchase never saw anything as listed in the catalog Such A BAD MOVE FOR THIS COMPANY NOW, SO OVER PRICED AND BLATANT LIES REGARDING ITEMS.
What's up with the pricing games?
I used to buy from this company all the time but now they are really playing games with their prices. I used to order a blouse that was $12.99. Now, the exact same blouse is noted at $44.00. It's in no way worth that price. They are now also charging $15 for shipping. They inundate you with catalogs but the price in the catalog is never what is online and vice versa. You have to enter special codes to get the price advertised. They will note the blouse in many colors and prints. The prints will have various prices as will the plain colors but it's the exact same blouse.
This company must be under new management because my last purchase from them was very frustrating to complete which was not the case before.

FALSE ADVERTISING! I did not receive FREE items advertised. I had two catalogs with two different FREE items, if you spend $50 or more. I sent one order in for each catalog. I received NO FREE items. they said they wouldn't honor the codes if it's backordered (how would I know?), from a 3rd party (how would I know?) or a "Final" sale item, as opposed to a regular sale?
They make up so many rules, that you don't know if they apply to you or not. They say you can only apply one coupon to your order, but their system accepts more than one and then doesn't apply any of them. I was screwed out of two different advertised FREE items. I did not receive either one. If you complain, you get a scripted reply and no answer or results results. Terrible customer service and FALSE ADVERTISING.
