Simply brilliant software, with attentive and helpful developers.

The software is good, but nothing too exceptional to justify the huge price. Furthermore, without any other paid add-ons, it's just a simple forum cms, nothing special. In the long end, you end up spending at least 4-500 dollars to have an acceptable forum software (unless you can code everything by yourself to add what's missing).

But the major flaw is the moderation system/structure on the forum itself, you're free to tell your opinion, but as soon as you start pointing out some troubles, or simply complaining, guess what? You're immediately punished and warned. They even have a rule in place saying you can't publicly complain about a moderator decision. This shady technique is used by many sneaky companies to make everything appear shiny and perfect, forcing users to always and only agree with what they do/say, otherwise you're censured. So watch out when you read only good and positive things about Xenforo or their support community, be warned they censor the stuff they don't like you to see: the truth.

No wonder all the good reviews on this page are only from "INVITED USERS".

It looks like criticism isn't even tolerated, and after my 2 stars review, they even stopped offering their support and answering on the forum. This shows, once again, the low reputation services like this have. As soon as you're a paying customer, they occasionally care enough to help, but when you tell your opinion, they completely ignore you. Lowering the rating to 1 star only. Now I feel and understand all the other people complaining.

The staff really care about making this the best forum software ever and all your bug reports and feedback are looked at! Countless times a bug report I made landed in the next version's patch notes.

The support forum is huge and there are always people looking to help each other out with their XenForo forum.

Did I mention the staff each have personality instead of hiding behind "professionalism"? It's been the friendliest experience I've had buying a product / service.

XenForo is a great piece of software and is reasonably priced for the market. It has a massive add-on and theme library and you can generally get really fast responses on their official community forum.It looks great and modern-ish (compared to other software) out of the box. I am looking forward to what they'll come up with next

As someone who has previously used many of the alternative forum software in the past, I recently decided to switch to Xenforo.

Despite being a technically capable person, at the end of the day I want software that just works and works well without much headache. Xenforo offers exactly that. It is undeniably the cleanest, most refined, and overall impressive forum software currently on the market. It appeals to the most intense developers just as well as it does a consumer-minded beginner.

For what you’re getting, the asking price is incredibly reasonable. If you’re in the market to switch from a free to a paid forum software - or even already subscribe to a competitor - I highly recommend giving Xenforo a look.

Literally, THE best forum software there is. I wouldn't use any other. xenForo has the best permission management, CMS possibilities, and it's expansible with a great library of addons.

I've tried using other software like NodeBB, Flarum, SMF, but they are no competition to xF.

In the past, I have used phpBB, SMF, and vBulletin 3 and 4. I dabbled with IPB demos but there was really nothing there that tempted me to buy it.

Xenforo is far and away the best forum software out there, both out of the box and in terms of the available addons and styles for customization. Support is excellent when you need it. I have now converted my own forums to Xenforo and several other forums for clients. At this point, I wouldn't recommend any other platform, paid or free.

Have been using this to run a forum for 7 years. A solid piece of software out of the box and we have had no real complaints. It has evolved over time, and only improved as they add new features. And on top of that, it is extensible, and there is a good library of add-ons and prebuilt styles to add even more features to a forum. Is it perfect? No, it has its issues and quirks, like any software. But it is good software for a good price with reasonable ongoing maintenance costs.

I have been with the XenForo team for some years and have 3 Licences, the support on their site and the ticket system is great, i think i have only had to send in two tickets in the last 5 years that were answered with in minutes by Brogan.
Anyone looking for forum software XenForo is it.

One of the best forum software i've ever used. The price is definitely okay. It could be more core functions, but at this time all works fine.
The staff is friendly and helpfull. I use XenForo since v1 in 2010 and i am happy with it.
