I placed an order on the 30th of April…

I placed an order on the 30th of April through b&q verified sellers. I ordered other items from different sellers which came quickly and supplied tracking etc but not yescolour. It was due to arrive between may 13 and 14 which was already quite a long time for 1 litre of paint considering I was unsure on the amount so if I need more I’ll have to wait over 2 weeks? And it hasn’t even arrived! No communication at all about my order but still able to send many annoying promotional emails. I left a comment on the contact seller part of the b&q order and have heard nothing back what a joke.

Beautiful colour

Beautiful colour, have bought others before and they are always brilliant, great quality, cover well and easy to use. Will buy more in future and would highly recommend. On one occasion when I needed customer care YesColours were responsive and provided information and assistance, very happy.

Con - Don't expect to receive what you ordered!

The B&Q marketplace is so damaging for the B&Q brand. The company claims the vendors like Yes Colours are "verified sellers", but that clearly doesn't mean anything. Yes Colours is clearly running a con on diy.com - don't expect to receive what you ordered from them. Ordered paint? They'll send you a piece of card with a colour swatch on. Total con. They knowingly sent me the wrong item (the paper trail in the emails shows as much - Yes Colours altered my order at their end). They totally ignore requests for customer service, even when B&Q had to get involved.

Just don't bother.

2 month wait, order cancelled

I ordered paint on 04/02/26, it was showing as available on the website. I chased it up a few weeks later and was sent a screenshot telling me I'd ordered something that was on pre-order (clearly updated after I'd ordered it, nothing in emails to suggest my order was a pre-order). I was told it would be shipped early March.

March comes, no email update, no delivery. I emailed again, referencing the March date I was given, and was told I'd ordered it on a pre-order. I reminded them that they told me it was due for dispatch in March, they then said it was delayed until April.

Got in touch last week and they said the paint is due to be delivered next week. We're on holiday so I asked if it could be sent with no signature needed and left outside. They recommended it not be left outside as it could affect the paint quality so they offered to arrange delivery at a later date, which I agreed to and confirmed when we'd be back.

I then got an email saying my order had been cancelled???

No idea what's going on with them. The customer service team have been responsive but the overall service is poor.

Having looked into your order, we can see that it was affected by a recent fulfilment delay while we transitioned our operations to a new location. Unfortunately, this was caused by our third-party fulfilment centre unexpectedly declaring insolvency at very short notice.

Love YesColours, love it

Love YesColours! Bought the electric blue which I’ve been looking for, for years! I am now buying more YesColours paints because the colours are excellent, low odour and VOCs, and very good coverage, plus the pouches are great! Now getting into the pinks ☺️

Lovely colours but terrible customer service!

As some others have stated, customer service is really bad!
We ordered 10 litres of Loving Blue to paint our hallway. I had not realised how much we would need so after the first coat, tried to order a further 15 litres, but noted was out of stock. I submitted a query via the Contact Us option on the website with no response.
This was three months ago.
Have chased several times, still with no response so requested contact via their 'live' chat. Still awaiting a response almost an hour later. Not quite the service when you are spending £110 per tin.
Just need to know if they anticipate more stock soon or, if not we can look elsewhere.

I don’t know what’s going on with them

I don’t know what’s going on with them. Ordered swatches 10 days ago, haven’t been shipped yet, emails not replied to. Previously emailed about colour consultation as one of the calendar links is broken and 1 shows permanent no availability, no reply. I really like the colours but the unreliability is too off putting when you’re organising time to redecorate. Sorry, I wanted to love you guys but I need some trust 💔 Please sort it out or let us know what’s going on!

Complete failure to communicate

Ordered 2 x 5L paint on 24 Feb for a project.
Email confirmation suggested that there were delays in despatching orders. Due to the risk that the paint would not arrive on time, I replied immediately to cancel.
No response. No phone number to call.
I did keep getting automated emails saying that DPD were expecting the parcel.
Finally despatched to DPD yesterday and arrived today by DPD who fulfilled the delivery perfectly. No criticism of them at all.
The project finished today using alternative paint and decorator left 2 hours before the paint arrived.
No returns form.
No response to the webchat
Still no reply to emails
No number to call.
I might just sell it on EBay or Facebook.

It’s not the despatch delays that I resent.
It’s the unresponsiveness.
Problems happen. It’s how you respond that really matters.

Especially when I chose the brand for its social responsibility, eco credentials and BCorp status.
The commitment to planet and people clearly doesn’t extend to customers.

Anyway, lesson learned. My takeaway from this is never to trust a company who doesn’t have a phone number to call.

Been Waiting almost a MONTH for delivery!

I ordered paint almost a month ago and I STILL haven't received anything. I messaged to say I wanted to know what was happening otherwise I needed to cancel, and still no reply 5 days later. I have used YES before and love their blue - but I know you can find it elsewhere and they will deliver ON TIME. I want to cancel my order but there's no way of cancelling!

I have painted my whole flat using…

I have painted my whole flat using Yescolours paints. The plastic pouches are much less hassle less messy to use handle than paint in a tin!

Also the quality of the colours pigmentation is as good as the big name paint brands.

One of my paint colours was a limited charity edition with some of the profits going to a mental health charity. So that's also a plus in my book.

Excellent paint and a company that made things right

Final update after using the paint.

After some initial issues with communication and dispatch delays, the company handled the situation very professionally. They followed up personally, applied a partial refund, and ensured the order was dispatched quickly.

The paint has now arrived and I’ve had the chance to use it, and the quality is excellent. The finish is a beautiful, deep matte with a very pleasant tone, exactly what I was hoping for.

While the process had a few bumps at the beginning, the way the team handled the situation and the quality of the product ultimately made this a very positive experience.

Update after delivery.

The order has now arrived in good condition and as expected. While the initial process involved delays and some communication issues, the way the situation was handled afterwards was professional and considerate.

The team took responsibility, followed up personally, applied a partial refund, and ensured the order was dispatched promptly.

There is still room for improvement in terms of upfront communication and order management, but the final outcome and customer support were genuinely positive.

Based on the full experience so far, I’m happy to update this to four stars.

I’ve used YesColours in my lounge after…

I’ve used YesColours in my lounge after a consultation with them. I was going to go with beige, but after my chat, I decided life was too short not to have bright colours in my home! I’m so pleased I did. I painted it pink and yellow, and even on the gloomiest day my lounge is bright. The paint applied beautifully and was not patchy at all. Will definitely use again! Fantastic customer service too
