1st Call - Window & Door Repairs Avis 

Professional and polite service from quote to install of replacement hinges and window gaskets.

Came across 1st Call Windows and Door Repairs on Facebook, no harm is filling out the enquiry form, so filled it in and was surprised to get a call back a few days later.

Had a good conversation about what we needed and at the end of the call we had agreed to a home visit for a quote.

Malik visited the house and he made us feel confident that we were buying from a reputable business (I was a bit dubious as it was from FB), he provided us with a really good quote which included 11 replacement hinges for upper rooms with self cleaning hinges, 2x full french door glass panels and necessary adjustments to the door as there was a gap.

Malik took a few measurements and photos and then gave us the quote, I again raised my anxieties around finding them on FB and Malik then logged into their assembly cameras to reassure me they were a reputable business.

We paid the initial deposit and then awaited his colleague who came to do the measuring of the hinges and glass panels a week or so later.

Again, the gentleman was very polite and courteous and he was a pleasure to have in the house.

1st December- we had the hinges and glass panels replaced and the work was done in a tidy manner, all rubbish was taken away and I was asked to check all the windows myself and whether I was happy, which I was.

I'm glad I went with 1st Call as a local trader was charging more which would have put on £100 extra just to replace the frames and said it was a two man job.

It was in fact a 1 man job as the glass was removed and hinges fixed into place and glass replaced.

Anyway, really happy with the self cleaning hinges which are ALL METAL, not like the original metal and plastic hinges from the developer (we bought a new build and these hinges, one by one began to fail about 5 years ago)

Follow up call from 1st call which was nice and I am happy to leave this review and would recommend them if you need any work doing!

A great service and much cheaper than local trade-people I contacted

They were very responsive in coming out to do the initial assessment and the actual installation of my new window was very well done with everyone that I dealt with being helpful, conscientious (cleaning up etc) and polite. It did take longer between the measuring and installation than I expected, but the work itself has been excellent.

Had this company come out to my property for a quote on replacing some glass units I also asked about a new back door. All I can say is I was so impressed by the company from start to finish. I was told that I only needed a new panel for my door as the frame didn’t need replacing which worked out so much cheaper. Quote I was given I accepted straight away. I had the work carried out a few weeks later and I was so happy with the guys who completed the work they were both respectful and cleaned up after themselves. My back door looked brand new once it was cleaned. I have given a 5 star rating because that is what this company deserves. I would highly recommend to any one.Absolutely amazing. Will definitely use them again

We really didn’t want to replace our back door but it was desperate for a repair. Malik from 1st Call came out at a convenient time and gave us a really good quote.
Aqib came another day with the parts to repair the door - it was tricky but he persevered in the freezing cold for hours. He was polite and tidy and left us with a fully working door.
Thanks so much. Saved a door from going into landfill and stopped us shelling out for a new one unnecessarily.
We will use 1st Call again in spring for the patio doors.

Booked these through a socials advert, the guy was 30 min late from their revised appointment time. He suggested my patio DG unit was leaking water, absolute nonsense, he used his iPhone to measure the units. Gave me a quote based on them being 2000 x 800, they’re 720 not 800. When I said I’m getting quotes he said once he walks out the door the price goes up from £525 to £980, over an 85% increase. I told him get out and marched him out of my house. Trading standards will be informed.

Had these guys out to my property in Bradford.
Got an instant competitive quote. Which I accepted, I then got a follow up call for someone to come and measure up the windows which was instant. After the measurement was taken the turn around time was quick within a few days I got an appointment booked in for the installation. This was a speedy service from quote to installation. The guys that fitted the windows, disposed the old ones. A hassle free service. If you need any window repairs call these guys!

Had a bad problem with window and was fixed by 1st call. Rang about a couple people before and struggled to understand jargon and people beating around the bush. This company are straight to the point and don’t mess about which i appreciate.

Shout out to these guys. Had one of my patio doors glass replaced due to window misty. Rep came gave quote happy with . Surveyor came to take measurements. Then the engineer came to replace window. No problem, no mess, great workmanship. Would recommend company

Very punctual company came at the time chosen rang beforehand to confir
m everything. Cannot fault the guy who came, as the windows are very old we wanted to know first if they where fixable or just need replacing. He went round greed yes old but fixable so he did us a quote for us its was rather a
steep quote we thought for the work that needed doing, they did require a
£150 deposit which was fair enough but as we where not ready to commit the
sales guy didn't push which was nice he
just gave options and said someone
would contact us at the end of the week which they did. Since then we have had
a second quote on the windows
found some are not even repairable as parts are no long available for them,
the quote we got to fix just one window
for just £180 more the whole window can be replaced so have decided the best way to go is to save a do one at
a time.

I have seen 1st call window & door repair advertising on social media. I gave them a call to come and look at my existing kitchen window. A rep came out and looked at my kitchen window which really needed replacing. I got a quote to replace my kitchen window in white with a right hand side opening window. The glazier/window fittter who come to fit my new window was very polite and friendly he moved all waste and left the area tidy.

Great communication throughout. Free quote, honest prices and professional friendly attitude. Fast work and clear communication, definately recommend and will use again.

Good service from start to finish. Sales man was polite and friendly as was the guy that did the survey and all in office only issue was that the glass sent was too thick so had to remake but was back the following week to fit

The quality and finish of my newly installed patio door is next level.
