Ease of use and navigation of site and step by step process.

Honestly, I could've saved myself $300. I would've hoped that they filed the paperwork for you for that price. All they do is provide the forms and instructions to file which you can do directly on the courts website. Also, you can never get through when you call for assistance.

My ex and I are navigating a simple non contested divorce. We filed and completed the paperwork sent to us in August. I paid extra through the company so we didn’t have to go to court, and all of my payments are complete. We also sent the final money order, which was also the last piece of info we needed to file and we’re told that 3stepdivorce lost it. So we sent another, and have been told it was never received. I got a notice from the court saying our case is inactive and will be dismissed this month if they don’t receive the paperwork. I’ve tried calling and emailing multiple times. I was told I would get a call back and never did and all my emails have been ignored. My ex tried calling twice and was hung up on both times after getting through the hold period. These people are incredibly unprofessional and will happily take your money and leave you high and dry. Definitely go somewhere else. I’m still trying to sort through this headache. The sad part is is that this has been the most difficult part of the entire experience when it was clearly supposed to be “easy”. I’m leaving this review because I see they reply to maybe save their butts. If this is what it takes to get you to respond to a paying customer then here we are now.

Update(nearly 3 months later): after a formal complaint was filed with the BBB, they “partially refunded me” like others are saying, just by logging in they claim that voids your right to a full refund even if you get NOTHING out of it. The refund still amounted to less than the amount of money they “lost”. Also, below you’ll see they said someone would be reaching out to me, they never did, and any further contact I’ve had has been through the BBB. They won’t talk to me directly or own up to their awful service at all.

Final update: they did finally refund me for the full amount, and someone apologized, but only after this review and the back and forth with BBB. I added a star to my review since they made it right, but I still wouldn’t recommend them, and trying to get the refund required a very high level of persistence.

The over all process is rather step by step simple. Navigating through sections is easy if you have to make corrections. However, at the end of the process you are kind of left without direction. I’m assuming the information is submitted to someone for drafting and filed with the courts.

Filling out the questions was easy, but still unsure of next step, wish they sent more info after you finish it, not just ask for a review

I have had a bad bad time thay was ok at frist got my money .and now that iam down to trying to get a court date no one will call or email me back . So now waiting I think it might be a scam 😡😡

I purchased the 3StepDivorce package because my divorce is a simple dissolution. My ex attempted to get documents notorized and was refused for blank documents in packet. I called 3Step to inquire about process of submitting papers. I got an offshore call center. Scam alert, I asked for a call back , because the young lady was talking to the technical department on another line. I told her just have them call me, it’s a simple submission question. No call back, and I’m sure never will. I paid them for simple documents, and received a packet for complicated divorce. The website is built by third graders . And, I get a call center during business hours?? I’m going to BBB. And, let them know this is a scam website. I’m sure legal experts in the area would be interested too.

The product ( all the paperwork), pretty simple; always got a person when I called for help; purchasing was easy. IF my divorce goes through the way the company guarantees, it will have been an excellent value. What WASN'T as easy was navigating the sections and returning to a page here and there. I mostly worked in a linear fashion, but frequently, even though it looked as though I could pick up where I left off, i literally had to scroll through every answer to get get back to where I was. Deal-breaker? No, just a little bit of a clumsy process. There was also a question you were directed to opt out of in a certain way, but the screen wouldn't take that answer. When I called, the young man ( very nice) said it was a program mistake and I HAD to answer it even though I was given a choice not to. Again, time-consuming and clumsy in the moment.
Would I recommend this company? Absolutely.

I have had a horrific experience with 3stepdivorce.com. They have lost my paperwork and are unresponsive when I either call or email them to get an update! If I call them, it seems like they just have outsourced employees who take a message and confirm that someone will get back to you, and no one has ever called or emailed me back! This is an extremely timely and sensitive issue, and not only had they "misplaced" my paperwork, but they were to file it with the court and I had to reach out to the court who confirmed my paperwork had not been received! I can't believe how unprofessional and how much of a nightmare this whole experience has been. I really am not one to write a bad review, but I have had no other choice due to the unresponsiveness of this company and this experience.

You made it simple to understand and very helpful in explanation.. the forms was exactly the same that I had printed from the county clerks office but already filled in to take and file with family court .. thank you

I was unable to complete my questionnaire. the website would not load it when I went back to add more information. I called three times and was promised a call back with IT support. I tried to get help through the website but it didn't allow the submit button. I tried emailing the site but it bounced. I will contact my bank for a refund ) :

It was fast and easy I had a problem where I couldn’t print something but the divorce team was really nice and solved the problem for me

When I went to submit your forms to the court house they said your forms were invalid

Your results are going to vary by state. Virginia has an online tool for helping with uncontested divorces and the documents it generates are more likely to be accepted the first time. Virginia's instructions are much clearer too. That being said, Virginia requires a settlement agreement. The Marital Settlement Agreement generated by 3StepDivorce is very good and getting that was worth the cost alone. Paying a lawyer to generate that agreement would have cost way more. While you may not necessarily use the other documents generated by 3StepDivorce, I recommend using them after you've investigated what's required in your state. It's well worth the cost in most cases.

I completed 68% of my questions yesterday and when I went to complete it today they were gone. So I spent hours filling it out today. It said the questions were completed but when I signed in again to review everything it said I was 2% completed?

I’m not very happy

Website was full of glitches. I was unable to complete the questionnaire in its entirety. Forms were useless as they came out incorrect. I put in a request for help and no one ever contacted me. Ended up taking matters elsewhere. When I inquired about a refund it was denied because I had accesses the portal. Terrible customer service and buggy website. Avoid!!!!

The fact that it’s all accessible from my phone to have gone back and correct the information is helpful in my situation.

It was easy to go to when I had time to sit and think about working on it. And easy to come back to after I closed out for a while.
