Activ8 delivered what they promised on time and our interactions with personnel at each stage of the process were very professional. The Activ8 was not the cheapest quote but their longevity in the solar market was a big selling point for us. We are very happy with Activ8 and from our experience we are happy to recommend this company.

Poor communication. I had to repeatedly chase Activ8 for my Home Energy Assessment and only received it after I told them I was going elsewhere, after a four-month wait. This was particularly frustrating as I needed to make decisions about my heating before the colder winter weather.

Now that I've received the assessment, I also have questions about some of the information recorded. There appear to be discrepancies in the BER/HLI information, and some details do not appear to accurately reflect my existing house and heating system. I now need to have these clarified independently.

Overall, the delays, lack of communication and concerns arising from the assessment left me with very little confidence in proceeding with Activ8.

Reply to Activ8 following feedback. I was very clear from day one that I can only correspond by email. No phone calls. My request was ignored repeatedly.

Everyone we were in contact with, from Conrad initially, to the office staff, to the survey, installation staff, electricians, IT guy; everyone was so professional and efficient. We are so impressed & very grateful for the care & attention.

I got solar recently good set up they have for my solar i got 9 panels with the battery 5klw.
Start 8.30am till 3:30pm all done.

Arrived on time, lads were lovely. Job completed in under 4 hours. No messy made, very neat. Overall a very good experience.

Very good communication from day one, always kept me in the loop of the ongoing process! Accommodated an earlier installation due to cancellation with ease. On the day of the installation, guys were very professional and completed the job with high standards and left the working area clean. Very pleased with the company, staff, and service!

The installation of 2 X 5kW batteries was first class. I was disappointed that I had to chase Activ8 down for an installation date a number of times. However, when I expressed my dissatisfaction with the installation date provided they acted upon it ( unlike a lot of other companies) and had their Trainer Rory travel to site to lead the installation. This was much appreciated. I feel that Activ8 is a victim of its own success - their installation dates are long because they have a backlog of work to complete because they are excellent at what they do. I cannot speak highly enough about the work that Rory and the installation team did - they could not have been more helpful.

The overall experience with their company is bad. From the get go, our knowledge of what we were looking for was undermined and we were told we were wrong in our estimations of panel return (since proved to be spot on post installation by another company). Where most other companies quoted for 17-18 panel, this outfit claim only 6 could be fitted! And to add insult to injury then quoted 10k above others quoting for the higher number of panels and better batteries. AVOID!

Note, in the organisation response they claim that for a higher number of panels, a higher panel count does not necessarily mean a better-performing or more appropriate system. While that has always been understood, I had done extensive research on the matter and knew what the likely return would be. With my specific system now installed, I am gaining approximately 30% of my return from the very panels that I was told were of no use. I understand that not all installations are the same and many may not have the understanding I had so could be caught out but there needs to be an awareness that not all potential customers are technologically ignorant.
