Excellent Service

I was very pleased with the service from Addicted to Audio. I received follow up emails from Mat, filling me in on how my shipment was going and also checking in about whether my order was delivered safely.
I appreciated this simple yet thoughtful service, as you don't always get it these days. Not to mention the awesome deal I got on my Q Acoustic speakers.
5 stars.

No Returns

Buyer beware! I rarely write reviews, but Addicted to Audio has a store policy of not accepting returns on opened products. They also charge a 10% restocking fee, plus handling, merchant transaction, and freight recovery fees on sealed products.

The customer service was also disappointing. It took several days to receive a response, and they ultimately recommended that I resell my opened but unused product on an online marketplace. This is time-consuming and results in a direct financial loss to the customer.

There are better alternatives to Addicted to Audio with more consumer-friendly return policies and better customer service.

Very happy with the service

Very happy with the service, ordered Friday, delivered the following Tuesday, plenty of progress updates and prompt responses to an enquiry mid-order. Everything arrived in perfect condition.

I am somewhat disgusted that the normal…

I am somewhat disgusted that the normal 2 year warranty for a subwoofer Perlisten R212S that would have 2 year warranty usually like buying iphonez. He said to me, due to it is so heavily discounted we can legally reduce it from 2 year to 1 year. So it is weird why they only ofter 1 year for perlisten speakers don’t you think?

Perlisten website “Perlisten Audio offers a 5-year standard manufacturer warranty for passive speakers and a 3-year warranty for powered subwoofers in North America. You can extend your warranty by an additional year (up to 6 and 4 years, respectively) by registering your product online.” So why do they list it as 1 year? Why not say after one year you can still get the remaining two from Perlisten America.

We sincerely appreciate your time in leaving us a rating, and wanted the opportunity to touch on some of the points raised, as well as the information that may have been communicated to you by our sales team regarding the revised local warranty period on our Perlisten stock.

Our Perlisten product range is currently on clearance as we are ceasing distribution of the Perlisten brand, and are therefore in the process of clearing our remaining stocks at heavily reduced pricing (upwards of 50% in many instances). Given this, we have elected to supply our clearance stock with an explicit 1-year Australian warranty. Please note that you may have additional rights under Australian Consumer Law, and nothing in these terms seeks to limit those rights in any way.

We do empathise and understand that this may not align with your expectations, though we believe this to be a reasonable, equitable, and transparent approach and pathway forward given the significant reduction in price and clearance status of this product range.

Great after sales service

Great service is truly measured by the quality of after-sales support, and the experience I received from the team at Addicted to Audio and Mike at Headroom was absolutely exceptional.
I had an issue with my Clearaudio Performance DC turntable, which would intermittently fail to turn off and would occasionally start spinning again after a power outage. After logging the issue with Addicted to Audio, Trent quickly got in touch and guided me through several troubleshooting steps. Once it was determined that the likely cause was a faulty PCB, the repair was assigned to Mike at Headroom.
Throughout the process, Trent kept me well informed, including updates around a shipping delay for the replacement part. The communication and customer care exceeded all expectations.
Mike personally came onsite to collect the turntable, completed the repair within just a few hours of receiving the part, replaced the PCB, and fully adjusted and recalibrated the unit. As part of the service, he even cleaned the underside and bottom lenses of the turntable.
What impressed me most was the level of care and professionalism throughout. Mike returned the turntable the very next day, reconnected everything, and carefully re-levelled it on the shelf.
From start to finish, the service from both Addicted to Audio and Headroom was outstanding. I would highly recommend Mike from Headroom, and the team at Addicted to Audio to anyone looking for knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely customer-focused support.

Dont trust this comapnies pricing

The companies pricing policy shows a complete disregard for its previous customers. I purchased two sub woofers from them in a sale where the price was reduced from $6k per unit to $4500 per unit. They then returned the price to 6k per unit. 7 weeks later they reduced the price to $2500 per unit. This makes a complete mockery of their pricing and shows utter contempt for their previous customers who buy in good faith based on market value (they of course offered no recompence to allow for the change citing only 7 days for price changes). I will never purchase from this company again.

Whilst we would love to be in a position to assist with your request for a refund of the difference in price, we regrettably are unable to issue price adjustment refunds on purchases made 8 weeks prior to the commencement of a sale.

We offer a 7-day Price Protection policy, as is detailed in the Terms & Conditions on our website, and this policy sadly doesn't allow for retroactive price adjustments on purchases made well outside of this window. We do sincerely understand your perspective, though we unfortunately aren't able to offer a refund under these circumstances 2 months after purchase, nor do we believe this to be a reasonable request or expectation.

We endeavoured to considerately communicate this to you upon receiving your email request on Monday 18/05, though do also appreciate that this may not have been the outcome you might have hoped for, and genuinely apologise again for any disappointment experienced.

Uprading office audio

I decided to upgrade the audio in my office, going through many reviews looking for a good solution that would work with low space. I already had an old Kenwood XD500 to use as an amp but used its speakers in my kid's rumpus. I decided on getting some DALI Spektor 2's. Addicted to Audio had them on sale so went with them. Their service was fantastic, getting the speakers out and delivered in only a few days. I am amazed with the quality of the sound coming from these speakers and everyone I have shown agrees that they sound phenomenal. I'll be using Addicted to Audio for more audio upgrades soon and I know I will receive great service from them.

I have been to Addicted to Audio…

I have been to Addicted to Audio (Adelaide) at least half a dozen times each time to buy something and happy with all purchases, including three online purchases. When it comes to audiophile collections, no other store in Adelaide can beat A2A.

However, the only thing that annoys me is the utterly unwelcoming and self-entitled front guy (probably the store manager) and his body language. Probably his presence will encourage me not to go to the store physically and make the future purchases online. Other sales personnels are very helpful and friendly. Only reason I give 4* here.

Addicted to Audio... Top service and supplies.

Customer service is of the utmost importance when working in Retail and this company performed very well. Matt was very patient and precise in his execution when dealing with warranty returns and I commend him for his efforts. He did not waste any time in advising the path of least resistance in order to complete the mission I had asked him to perform. In this case it was my Topping amplifier that was of concern as I needed it sent back to its origin and replaced with another.
It was very satisfying dealing with Matt and I endeavour to keep promoting the company and its constituents. Thanks V much Matt 10/10.

Very good

I ended up buying a streamer from them online & there were delivery updates all the way & the price was unbeatable.
I've since bought another item online & had the same fast experience & same great pricing.
It seems they have me wrapped around their fingers now, c'est la vie hehe!
