It is honestly an absolute joke of a company. I ordered several items and one did not fit, so I tried to return it. The website repeatedly generated “technical issue” messages and told me to try again later. After wasting hours with no resolution, I was forced to contact customer service, which was painfully slow and added even more unnecessary delay.
This is a basic process that should be fully automated. Generating a return label and processing a refund should not require hours of effort or manual intervention. Instead of a straightforward return, I ended up dealing with broken systems and inefficient customer support. Overall, a frustrating and time-wasting experience
Diabolical Customer Support
I have had nothing but hassle with Adidas Ireland customer support. I originally placed an order on 05/09 with a 25% discount. The order went AWOL and when I contacted Adidas they refunded the order but refused to give me the 25% discount again. At one point they argued it was “my choice of courier” that lost the package. Bizarre when considering you don’t get a choice of courier service when you order. After over 2 hours of my life wasted trying to deal with them on two separate phone calls they randomly followed up with an email with 25% discount. At this stage the items had sold out. I was finally able to order them on 22/11, received the order on 05/12 and promptly returned one item on
07/12.
I have still not received my refund. I messaged them on 05/01 and was on the chat for at least 30 mins sending proof of postage and a screenshot of the tracking. Only to be told at the end of the call that they’d look into it and I should have a response up to 48 hours later. It’s now 72 hours and I’ve sent a further two emails with no response.
This hassle started in September 2025 and we are now into January 2026. Adidas customer support is diabolical to put it mildly. I cannot comprehend how they think this is the way to treat customers. It’s a complete fabrication to call it ‘support’.

I bought a pair of trainers for my niece for Christmas and An Post delivered them to the wrong address. Adidas customer support was incredible, they refunded me and also gave me a €10 voucher for my next purchase, even though this was no fault of their own.

Ordered a hoody for my son for Christmas and recieved a completely different product, a bright green Nigeria trousers !!
Tried to contact on website said something went wrong they dont allow contact anymore, so called customer service to be told warehouse said they will send my hoody , but obviously only said that to get me off phone as no sign.

Customer support is shockingly bad
Customer support is shockingly bad. I was advised that the item was shipped when it was still in progress. I asked for the issue to be escalated and was advised that it would be to see if an exception could be made and was advised I would be notified by email.
No email came through, the chat wouldn't download and I am €300 out of pocket. It's very short sighted on their behalf. I will never ever ever order from them again.

If I could give Adidas (and Sports Direct) less than one star, I WOULD.
Bought a pair of Adidas Terrex Eastrail shoes from Sports Direct in February. Bought two pairs actually, one bright lumo orange and one grey pair. Purchased SPECIFICALLY for in town walking, as I go for a walk once a week with my wife in and around the town we live in. I have been alternating between the two pairs weekly ( one pair this week, the other the next, so on and so forth). The soles on the orange ones began to wear a LOT faster than the grey ones. I contacted Adidas to discuss the issue and was told to go to Sports Direct (which I had, in fact, already done - they told me to contact Adidas, as it seemed like a manufacturer fault). After a long back and forth with the Adidas chat bot and four different human “Customer Care agents” (if you could call them that), I was offered a 30% off discount coupon. Whilst all of this had been going on, I had sent the shoes in to Sports Direct to be assessed by their “expert team” who promptly sent them back, their words being “you wore these shoes out due to normal wear and tear”! Listen, in what reality do you buy a pair of walking shoes - that you only wear every other week, that you don’t get wet, that you don’t walk in mud with - and have them wear out in less than a year????? Let’s not forget that Adidas recently upgraded their Terrex lines with new Continental rubber soles! I am 99.9% sure this was done because they realised that the soles on the Terrex line were wearing out too quickly!
So, I’m out of pocket, with a pair of shoes that look great from the soles up. Given a 30% off coupon to go and spend on ANOTHER pair of Adidas shoes - “Here, take that, now please bugger off”. I have been an Adidas fan since the early nineties, but I will NEVER, EVER purchase another pair of their shoes. I’d love to be able to add photographs to this review, you would see EXACTLY what I’m talking about!
I recommend you avoid Adidas like the plague. As is my recommendation to avoid Sports Direct, as the ONLY reason they rejected the return is due to the fact that THEY would then have to attempt recouping their loss FROM ADIDAS!

Always order here but never again. Received half my order and nothing about the other half. No refund , no email back, no answer. Son left without school shoes over you and I haven’t received the money back to buy a new pair.

Title, Two pairs failed, warranty refused
I bought two pairs of Adidas golf shoes from Sports Direct, both sold with a two year waterproof warranty. After about a year of light use, both started leaking. Sports Direct refused to replace them and sent me to Adidas. Adidas then said their two year warranty only applies to direct purchases and that third party purchases get one year, which was never made clear at point of sale. I went back and forth with both and neither accepted responsibility for what looks like a product defect within the stated warranty period. Very disappointing customer service. I will not buy Adidas again and will switch to brands that honour a two year waterproof warranty regardless of where you buy.

Very poor experience with customer service. Effectively lied to. I bought a pair of runners during the sale. The item was an old model of the runner (ultraboost 19). It said it was in stock when purchasing and I was charged. The delivery date was set at 15th October and it came and went. I used the chat to find out where the item was and I was advised it was back ordered and would be back in stock and assured it would be delivered on Friday 17th October. The tracking still says in progress so I rang this time and the story changed. So they were either lying now or before. Was advised this time that the item was not in stock and waiting for it to be stocked. I asked what the chances of this actually happening were as it was old model. They couldn’t answer that question. They said they would contact the warehouse and email me. That hasn’t happened. Total rubbish service. Have used them lots of time in the past and they have been great. Not this time

Unhelpful online customer service
Whenever you purchase something, Adidas asks for a review in exchange for a 10% discount.
I reviewed two items 3 days ago, and never got my 10% code for a discount. Each day, I contacted their customer service, who was unable to really help by giving me a discount code.
I was signed up to my account and agreed to receive the newsletter previous to this. I also had the order number, the day of sending the reviews, the products and the email with which I reviewed them.
I wanted to buy a bum bag that was supposed to be a bday present and it was time sensitve. Customer service kept telling me to wait from 24-72 hs before solving my issue. I waited the 72 hs.
They did not solve it.
My options: either I don't buy this bday present (which I kinda have promised the person that I would), or I buy only it today (and have to pay for the delivery fee) or wait another day and then have to pay for a speed up delivery (which might be more expensive than my 10% discount!).
Not only that, the chat with customer service keeps sending annoying messages of "are you still here?". If you don't respond, they disconect you from the chat. But the agent can take several minutes to update you. If you are connected to the chat, you cannot change tabs or do anything else BUT be on that tab with the chat, spending an enourmous amount of time each time NOT to get your issue solved.
Boo, Adidas. You've been terrible.

I bought a pair of Adidas shoes, advertised as "True to Size" so ordered my usual size ,they arrived after over a week, too small. I retruned them, took another week. The return was "Rejected" they are now sending the shoes that are too small back to me, nowhere on the site to lodge a formal complaint and the customer service reps won't provide one. Never again.
Shockingly poor chat support
Really surprising how poor the customer service is on their site, considering it's such a big brand.
I had a very simple question about signing up for their newsletter, and the agent on chat support kept me waiting for an hour with repeated 'just checking 2-3 more mins, thanks for your patience' etc. messages, before eventually ending the chat on me without helping. They don't even send an email transcript or anything, so an hour wasted with no record you ever reached out.
I was looking to buy a selection of football shirts for a €400 order, and ended up going to Sports Direct instead because of how little confidence I had in this site after speaking with their chat support.
This was just for a simple newsletter question, if you had any actual order issues I imagine it must be a nightmare to deal with them.
I was extremely put off by this, they seem like they don't know anything about their own site and I don't think you'd find much useful help if something goes wrong.
