Support is slow and everything is a hit or miss, rewards take ages to credit but otherwise 1.5% is pretty good for a non-credit card card for rewards. Update - Raising this to 4 stars as the reward... Voir plus

Algbra is the worst bank I’ve ever dealt with. They closed my account without warning, locking me out of ALL my money. Despite providing my bank details over a week ago, they still haven’t sent my funds. Lauren and Nicky have been completely useless, repeating the same excuses about “regulatory processes” while ignoring the urgency of my situation.
They managed to close my account immediately but claim they can’t release my money straight away—how does that make sense? Their responses are robotic, dismissive, and offer no real solutions. All my money is in that account, and I’ve been left struggling with no timeline except vague promises of “28 days” or more.
This isn’t just my experience—other customers are dealing with the same nightmare. Algbra’s service is disgraceful, and I’ll be escalating this to the Financial Ombudsman. Avoid this bank at all costs. They’re unreliable, uncaring, and unfit to operate.
I have always been an advocate for Algbra , how great it is and recommending them to everyone.
How wrong I was!!
My account has been suspended for no reason, my funds are frozen and all incoming payments are being declined and told that my account is closed and that money will take 28 days to the Nomination account that I choose. 2 complaints and 3weekd heard nothing but they just close the account!
No timeframe given on the resolution and judging from the recent reviews here this has been happening to a lot of customer recently and could take a long time or it may not even be resolved. This is very frustrating.
Will keep updating this review and stars based on how the events unfold or not unfold.
Nicky and Lauren from Algbra are useless as a 2 pence coin and unhelpful and don’t listen nor care about customers . Have reported this company to The Financial ombudsman service and Martin Lewis and BBC watchdog to get them to investigate.

Was a fantastic bank but I was a victim of someone stealing my card and using it for £50 pounds algbra refunded me straight away but then decided to punish me and closed my account 2 hours later ,and get this got to wait 28 days for my money returned,which I am not prepared to do ,give me my money back ,avoid this bank ,as your the victim yet they close your account and withheld funds

I don’t normally write reviews but today I have the time
So I have been banking with Algbra for a little while now and I have been using it lately more than my normal bank account and I have been enjoying it
Last week I stupidly went on Instagram and used my bank card to pay 99p and then 5 minutes later the company charged me £69.99 without my consent and I messaged Algbra and let me tell you from start to finish Algbra was so fast in helping me get my money back
Within 3 days I was refunding I couldn’t believe how fast it took and I’m so happy
Honestly Algbra is an amazing bank

Customer service is brilliant, responsive and very helpful service from both Yuki and Zenia!
I've only started using the app so can't comment too much but there are some features which are lacking, no option to adjust spending limit. I prefer to limit/decrease to avoid unauthorised spending. Hopefully, features will be added.

I closed my account with Algbra and after I did so received a refund to it, I contacted them 6 weeks ago to provide details on my bank account to transfer the money to, they confirmed that they had the refund but it could take up to 28 days to refund the money to me, it's now been 6 weeks and customer service just keep telling me it will take more time.
There's no good reason for this length of delay in refunding me, Algbra are essentially withholding my money and refusing to return it.
The card was fine, until I went on holiday and come back. Ever since then I have had issued logining in, support chat was not able to help and went on circles. Now 4 months on I'm trying to get back what money was on card and it wouldn't let me login the account.
Very new customer, account has very light use so far however i cannot fault Algbra. Customer service has been helpful and app clear to use.
Happy customer long may it continue.

I have been trying to close the account of my, now, deceased Uncle. The customer service, with regards to bereavement, has been absolutely diabolical. 27 emails, and more than 2 months since the death, it is still not resolved. The latest email, from them, is virtually accusing me of attempted fraud 😡

I've been using Algbra for a year, and I must say the experience has been great! The cashback rewards are incredibly generous, and the customer service is exceptionally quick, almost like a rarity here in the UK! :) Also, the mobile app’s interface is user-friendly.
