Broken valve claim denied
A small hole opened in one of my engine's cylinders. Engine failure is covered under the warranty, but Alpha denied the claim, saying the damage was caused by a burnt valve.
When a valve breaks (as was diagnosed by the mechanic), fragments can be found on the seat or in the combustion chamber. These fragments may have a radial crack pattern or chordal fatigue marks that resemble the heat-induced cracking seen in a burnt valve. Without a close inspection (which was never performed by Alpha), the person reviewing photographs often mistakes these marks for a burn when they are actually caused by a broken valve piece. Broken valves also show torched or pitted valve faces which can look like surface damage from a burnt valve if not examined closely.
It is important to note that if the failure was caused by a burnt valve, then the evidence would be consistent across all four valves. However, the burn-like symptoms were only found in cylinders 1, 3, & 4. Cylinder #2 lost immediate compression when the piece broke off, and thus no burn-like symptoms were found within it.
The preponderance of evidence points to a broken valve, however Alpha hid behind the burnt valve excuse and denied both the initial claim and the appeal. Even more cowardly, they wouldn't let me talk to a supervisor. They hide behind their customer service agents. If I had to trust the leadership in Iran or Alpha, I'd go with Iran.
7/6/26 UPDATE:
Alpha has doubled down on its burnt-valve theory and assured everyone that it conducted a "thorough review." Apparently, in Alpha's world, a thorough engineering investigation consists of looking at a few photographs and consulting Google. Meanwhile, the mechanics standing next to the engine—the ones who actually disassembled it, inspected the components, and observed the failure firsthand—have concluded that the damage was caused by a broken valve. But why rely on direct physical evidence when internet searches are available?
Alpha also attributes the failure to "heat-related degradation" and "thermal stress." Groundbreaking discovery. Internal combustion engines are, in fact, hot. Valve temperatures routinely reach hundreds of degrees during normal operation, which is why engines are engineered with alloys, cooling systems, lubrication, and operating tolerances designed specifically for those conditions. Identifying heat in an operating engine as evidence of failure is roughly equivalent to identifying water as a contributing factor in a swimming pool accident.
Not content with one explanation, Alpha has now added carbon buildup to its list of suspects. Every internal combustion engine accumulates some degree of carbon deposits over time. That's not a diagnostic finding; it's a description of how engines work. By that logic, perhaps the next root-cause analysis will cite the presence of motor oil, spark plugs, or atmospheric oxygen.
What's particularly remarkable is that each new theory seems to appear only after the previous one fails to withstand scrutiny. First, the valve "burned." Then heat became the culprit. Now carbon buildup has entered the conversation. At this rate, I'm expecting Alpha's next report to conclude that the failure was caused by excessive exposure to gravity.
The reality is simple: the mechanics who physically inspected the engine identified a broken valve. Alpha's experts reviewed photographs from a distance and produced a succession of increasingly creative explanations for why they shouldn't have to pay the claim. If the company intends to deny coverage, it would be more refreshing—and considerably more honest—to simply state that conclusion outright instead of conducting a scavenger hunt for alternative theories that happen to support the same outcome.
After all, if a $4,000 repair claim requires this much imaginative engineering, one has to wonder whether the objective is determining the cause of the failure—or finding any reason imaginable to avoid paying for it.

A rock hit my windshield and a crack formed within minutes. When I filed a claim with Alpha, they denied it saying the crack was too big. Terrible. Don't buy their warranty, it's a rip off.

Fast & Fair | BMW M8 Double Claim
Have a BMW M850i that recently experienced a coolant leak and a rear differential leak. Two separate claim requests sent by BMW themselves. I was incredibly scared that the process would take weeks/months and I'd have no vehicle.
I was incredibly satisfied after Alpha had accepted 1/2 of the claims within 1-2 hours of it being submitted, allowing BMW to get me my car faster.
Obviously, I wish the second claim for the coolant leak was covered, but I did read the contract and understand their point of view. While I'd personally argue it failed mechanically and not from regular wear, I completely see their side of the story considering the part was a hose which is technically not covered. I didn't leave feeling like they shorted or scammed me at all. Completely understand the reasoning.
Overall, really impressed with Alpha so far. They paid for a $2k-$3k repair that was explicitly covered in 1-2 hours and got me my car back faster. Hoping if there's another issue in the future I'll have a similar experience.

Scam company- do not use!
Scam company. Do not use! They don’t cover my repairs that are clearly covered in my contract. They keep needing new photos and videos, and they need 24-48 hours to approve them. After 48 hours, they need additional photos and it keeps going on and on. You can’t speak to a supervisor or an adjuster. 3 weeks and I’m still waiting for them to approve my claim and I’m without a car. Terrible company.

HORRIBLE COMPANY THAT WILL NOT PAY
HORRIBLE COMPANY THAT WILL NOT PAY ! They will find every way not to pay the claim for your vehicle. I purchased the best warranty from the dealership with Alpha Warranty and a major issue occurred to my engine . My mechanic even called Alpha and advised them this is a common sure with 2020 chev Colorado trucks and that it should be definitely covered . I paid almost $2,000 for the horrible warranty and they REFUSED TO. OVER . There are better warranty company’s out there . Plz do your research . I’m putting this review on every media platform available.

Twice now I've tried to file a claim…
Twice now I've tried to file a claim with Alpha Warranty services. One for an issue with evap leaks. None of the parts to be replaced were covered by the warranty! Ended up costing me $1200. Second claim was for the A/C compressor. It overheated even though it was pushing out air and melted the device. Claim denied due to 'owner error'. How was I suppose to know the unit was overheated if it was still blowing air? As soon as we noticed the lack of cool air we took it in. By then they said it was neglect on our part. Yet another very expensive repair. Definitely NOT worth purchasing a warranty from an outside company. Lesson learned.

Alpha Warranty is a scam
Alpha Warranty is a scam. Regardless of what your contract says, they will invent a reason to not cover your repair. Avoid at all costs.
EDIT - Since I can't respond to Alpha's comment:
The "evacuation and recharge service" was performed to diagnose the leaking A/C system. The tech has to recharge the system to find the leak. But you're claiming that this constituted regular maintenance simply because it took the tech more than one attempt to identify where the leak was coming from.
There was no approved repair "one month earlier." That is a complete fabrication.
My warranty contract states that:
"YOU are responsible for authorizing and paying for any tear-down or diagnosis time needed to determine if the VEHICLE has a covered breakdown. If it is subsequently determined that the repair is needed due to a covered breakdown, the ADMINISTRATOR will cover such diagnostic or tear-down charges per approved CLAIM."
I was not reimbursed the cost of diagnosis despite this repair being a covered breakdown. I'll be filing complaints of breach of contract and fraud with the Federal Trade Commission, the Oregon Dept of Financial Regulation, and the Oregon Dept of Justice.

PLEASE DO NOT BUY A WARRANTY FROM THIS…
PLEASE DO NOT BUY A WARRANTY FROM THIS COMPANY . I bought the best warranty plan from alpha when I purchased my chev truck in Alabama . I paid almost $2,000 for the best plan . I had a major issue with my engine and the refused to pay . My mechanic even called , sent pictures , before part verses new part to show them it’s a legit claim that Alpha should be responsible for . After back and forth with my mechanic they still refused to pay . Folks will not pay so I would definitely consider another company to protect and ensure your vehicle engines .
Thanks

Currently awaiting my car rental reimbursement…
Currently awaiting my car reimbursement check from Alpha warranty. They mailed me a check that couldn’t be cashed, and when I called to inform them that I couldn’t cash the check, they informed me that they would be mailing another check. Fast forward to 3 weeks later, weekly calls, and no one knows why the finance department is delaying a reissued check. Really frustrated at this point.
