Staff made the best of a bad situation

The bus tour extension was miserable in contrast to the excellent river cruise portion of our two week trip.

Loved sailing the Columbia and Snake rivers on the smaller river boat. We went up on the 4th and 5th deck often just to enjoy the scenery and marvel at the dams and locks.
The staff went above and beyond to make our experience five star. Our meals and cocktail hour were wonderful. We especially enjoyed the educational talks presented by Steve.
We kept busy with all the excursions offered. Some days we were able to do two in a day. Highlights were the waterfall, Lewis and Clark Winter camp, helicopter ride, and jet boat through Hell’s Canyon.
The only thing that could be improved was some cosmetic maintenance in our cabin. It is a comparatively older boat and just needed some touch up.
We have been on one of ACL’s newer boats and like the layout a little better. But really, none of this detracted from an excellent experience and ACL earns the 5 star rating!

The friendly people. How neat and clean everything was. The meals were delicious, with very good choices. Excursions were all run with precision and very enjoyable. Great tour guides with a lot of knowledge and facts. Our cruise director was awesome, along wirh all the staff. Andy says tell us what you need and we will help. Very true statement.

This cruise was extraordinary! It was lovely to have all US staff for a change on a cruise ship. Most of them were really young and enthusiastic which was great. The accommodations where clean and comfortable, the food was decent, the alcohol flowed. The best part of the cruise was the featured speaker, JoAnne, who shared her wit and wisdom about the Mississippi River as we cruised from Saint Paul to Saint Louis. It was fascinating and enhanced the trip in great measure. I highly recommend this cruise line - they did a great job.

We loved the size of the ship. We were able to maneuver easily and go out on our own when we reached port with great convenience. Love the walking track on the fifth floor. Our room was very very nice. Just enjoy the convenience of everything. Staff was great as well.

The service was excellent; the staff very friendly and helpful; and the food was delicious. Some of the excursions weren't the best.

I can not think of anything more you can do to make our experience any better than what it was. We liked it so much we booked another cruise.

This was our first cruise with American Cruise Lines and we are quite impressed. In fact, we booked three more cruises with you. Every aspect and every staff person exceeded all expectations. Special staff members Camien, Harmony, Jr., Fernando, Patrick and so many others.

The staff was attentive and helpful.

So appreciate the care and consideration given to people with mobile disabilities. Will definitely recommend this cruise line to friends. Is this a smoke free environment? There was never any smoke smell anywhere inside or on deck and I didn’t see anyone with a cigarette or cigar. If so, well done 👍🏻. Thank you for a fabulous time 😃

The best part was the excellent crew, including the resident historian, Richard Rubin, who brought Lewis & Clark expedition to life. Also extremely impressive was the ceremony by the local Nez Pearce tribe. It was very interesting, informative and they included a lovely tribute to our veterans. Also, we were so fortunate to enjoy good weather!

Staff and crew were superior in every way. Historian onboard gave very interesting and informative lectures. Food portions were very large and selections were numerous and well prepared.

Staff was great - including deck hands who helped get my mother in law in and out of Stryker chair, bus driver Beth who ran the lift on the motor coach, and excursion director Alex who made sure we were scheduled on the correct coach.

Crew and staff extremely professional and friendly. Entertainment absolutely exceptional.

The total trip was outstanding…the staff made everything wonderful from food everyday meals (the Lobster feed over the top)to the crew who helped onboard and on and off the ship wherever we journeyed. The transfer off the ship to airport went seamlessly and so appreciated. Fabulous job by everyone everyday!!!
