Ben has made me feel very welcome as I have just started my membership here. During the free trial I had, he ensured that the gym is a very safe, clean and fun environment. I love being a member here and the facilities are always clean and up to standard. Lovely staff and lovely vibe

Even 1 star for them is still too much , sense may i keep calling them i keep sending email to them and keep asking them to cancel my membership.. the worse system I've ever seen in my life … i never walked in the gym from January which is gonna be last 9 months, and they keep taking money from me , last one was 2 days ago 170£ idk what’s that for when i have all emails here i asked you to cancel it from last 6 months

Awful cancellation policy, no clearly established when signing up.

I joined Anytime fitness in Wickford at the beginning of September and I’ve really enjoyed going there. All the machines are obviously new because it’s a new place but many are different machines, they perform a lot better than previous gym’s including the council one in Wickford and before that I was in David Lloyd.
Aaron and Carol were there when I signed up very helpful and very informative, their advice was great and the reasons to join where things I had not thought of before. It’s a very clean space to work out in, and Aaron and Carol keep it so tidy, all the weights get put back either the members do it or Carol and Aaron go round re-racking all the weights in the gym, and cleaning the ares, it is very tidy
I actually look forward to going and I’ve never felt like that before in any Gym I have been a member of in the last 20 years. So well done, Guys keep it up. I’m loving it at the moment.

Really do not like how they operate, firstly Moor Allerton shut for 6 weeks and I was told that would be put onto my membership, but then I receive following message. “ We require your digital signature to complete your records with us and prevent any potential access issues” when I click on it its a new flipping contract they are trying to trick me to sign, disgraceful, got me thinking not one person has ever spoke to me or have I even seen a member of staff in 6 months. I have emailed the people that emailed me stating I will get 6 weeks back on end of contract, to ask why they use this tom foolery in the first place and ask when my added 6 weeks membership actually expires, as I certainly wont be renewing if thats how you try to keep clients, this email has been sent 3 times this week, guess what? Thats right nothing! Extremely disappointed so looks like ive lost the £60 6 weeks membership and will have to find a new gym.

Unfortunately, I need to add to the long list of people that have been negatively affected by the cancellation of a membership.
A quick summary:
1) I signed the gym contract

2) Told by manager that the cooling-off period was 2 weeks (not told I can't use the gym within these 2 weeks although I found out later that this was what prevented me from cancelling )
How can this be called a cooling-off period if you can't use the facilities during this time?

3) 6 days after signing, told that gym was closing for 2 weeks & the exercise room that I was interested in using was becoming an open space

4) I tried to cancel immediately online and in-person but informed it wasn't possible as I'd used the gym! (I was also told to go running outside instead!) This was not what I signed up for.

I soon find out that they will bend over backwards not to let someone cancel after signing up, no matter what it takes.

They insisted my experience was fair even though I received no pre-knowledge of the changes until it was too late.

If you’re looking for an overpriced gym that closes for two-week periods while continuing to charge its members, regularly has multiple pieces of broken equipment, and frequently has showers and toilets out of order, then this is the place for you.

What makes matters worse is the complete lack of response to members’ complaints. Issues are repeatedly raised, yet there appears to be little effort to resolve them. When concerns are challenged or members ask for the matter to be escalated, the response is simply to refuse.

For the price members are paying, the level of service, maintenance and customer care is simply not acceptable. I would not recommend this gym and certainly won’t be renewing my membership.

Excellent customer service. Staff was really polite and patient in her dealing with my registration.

Great machines, very clean environment and very welcoming staff. Recommend this place to everyone. As must place to go and train with plenty of facilties, ie, showers,changing room,lockers,hair dryers for the ladies.

Signed up for the annual membership but want to cancel within my 14 days not even used the gym and really hard work won’t refund me my money having to go through the ombudsman . Good gym but terrible when it comes to help or cancelling your membership
